Their support team is very responsive to questions and feature suggestions. They even created a few custom videos for us when we had questions about features that were outside the scope of their existing tutorials. Pros We love the Kanban visual interface, automations, and two-way sync with Clio. The visual interface is very intuitive and enables a very quick assessment of where we are with each task/matter. The automations are flexible and powerful. They save us hours each week and are great for reminders and follow ups. The two-way Clio sync is great. We only need to input matter information in one place. Cons Visual presentation of task/workload tracking across our entire staff. The information is there, but the visual interface for tables isn't as flexible or intuitive as some other programs. You can see the status of matters from a Birdseye view. Thank you Legal boards. Pros Legalboards is very user friendly-- the learning curve is minimal almost a straight out the box software. Support is very user patient and easy to communicate your ideas. Ask for Vera, she was awesome! Legal boards made it easy to visualize the flow of our cases and discover where the bottlenecks were. Cons Although there is nothing I least like about legalboards, there are a few wish items. Custom fields and notes sync with software and access to more payment options. My staff does not need to remember to do things, Legal Boards automatically assigns the tasks based on the rules we set up. Pros I love the automation of Legalboards. Cases get put on a track and move through the stages as tasks are done. I can now see the status of all my cases in a single board. It has been game changing. No more trying to remember to do this or who did that. All tasks are there as due or completed. Cons Setting up was a little difficult. But, I was able to pay separately to have a team member set up the boards for my firm. She ran the tests also to make sure all was running correctly. Reasons for choosing Legalboards A friend highly recommended and it integrated well with Clio Manage. Pros Legalboards was incredibly easy to integrate with my existing practice management software. It fills a huge void in law firm management software, which is to provide kanban style automated task management that's geared specifically towards the legal profession. Cons There currently is a lag between using the Legalboards website and Clio, so automations take a few minutes to run. The user interface can be hard to read and the color scheme is very difficult for some people to see. Reasons for choosing Legalboards Its integration with Clio and the fact the entire platform was designed with the concepts of legal matters and tasks within matters in mind. The customer support team has been very helpful and answered any questions I had in a quick manner and other than when I asked for something not currently implemented they have resolved the issue immediately. Pros I have found that the smooth integration with Clio and the automations that are available are the biggest boon for this software. It allows me to set up a system that requires very little manual movements from the primary user (the patent attorney) and allows for just the completion of tasks to keep track of matters on the board. For example, the patent attorney can see what cards are being worked on, mark the task as done, and the card will automatically move to the report column which then emails our reporter to send the client the notice that their matter has been completed. Cons There are not as many automation options as I would like. I would like to have some more cross board automations that are not tied onto a task being completed. There is also a lack of customization options for the information displayed on the cards.
