We were well supported to set up the platform including having regular check-ins. Pros It was straightforward and easy to set up for our members. The standard functionality is good and it's easy to customise it with your own logos, wording, topics etc. It has enabled us to scale up our mentoring offer to reach a lot more members. Cons No real cons so I don't have anything specific to add here. The only issue we have had is some mentors don't respond to requests. The team are great to work with and there are so many resources and materials that we can use to ensure that our mentoring programmes get the reach to our members. Pros The PLD Mentoring platform is an easy to use mentoring platform for both our users and admins. In depth reporting allows us to really review what users are thinking and the simplicity of the platform has improved our engagement with users, something we have historically struggled with. Cons On previous platforms we had the ability to create programmes and upload our own resources ourselves. This isn't a huge thing and actually is ensuring that we're mindful about what is available to our users. Pros The ease of use for mentors and mentees makes PLD a real win. The system is intuitive and transparent which allows mentees to clearly see who is available and for mentors to manage their time. June 30, 2026 4.0 I enjoy working with pld and using the mentoring platform - there is plenty of data for analysing areas within the programme, and many articles for promotional use. Pld are always forward thinking, and proactive with the platform, and it's refreshing working with them. Pros Client Support: Is excellent, always on hand for any questions, queries, tech trouble shooting etc. Value for Money: Is very good, the platform has many great articles that can be used, or amended to suit. The dashboard stats are extremely helpful for monitoring patterns in growth etc. Their are lots of variables for what data we can capture, and possibilities to amend and add new ones - making sure the platform grows with us. The option to add coaching is an interesting and potentially beneficial feature. We feel the platform is very secure and we have oversight of everything that happens, which supports our orgs safeguarding requirements. PLD has done what it has advertised to do, and coupled with the excellent client support, we are satisfied and grateful for its services. Pros PLD’s client support is excellent, for they are quick and thorough in answering queries and providing any support as needed. Cons The login code, while understandably required, has posed problems for some of our international users logging in from around the world. Also setting up meetings only in one time zone can be tricky, although this is partially solved by the meetings displaying in users' local time zones once downloaded into their calendars. June 19, 2020 5.0 I have been really pleased that I made the purchase. The company has been responsive in helping me to get the platform up and running and any queries or concerns were addressed quickly. I looked at a number of other platforms before making the decision to go ahead and felt that I was going to pay a lot of money for features that I just didn't need. It is well used and I find that people in the company engage with it independently due to its simplicity which means less support time or training from me. I could not run my mentoring programme without it and it is essential to me to keep it alive and going across all our offices in the UK. Pros The platform offers a good range of features that doesn't overload the user and makes training and deployment easy and intuitive. The platform was sold and deployed as a site licence rather than on a per-user cost basis which gave me the flexibility to purchase the platform and not have to worry about additional licence costs - which is really helpful when managing my budget especially as I was unsure of take-up in the first year. The deployment process was positive and the ability to customise and brand the platform was important to me. This was done smoothly with good communication with the account manager and technical team which made my life easy. I was able to customise almost all areas of the platform including the mentor matching algorithm to adapt it to our career path structure. I have been using the platform for 12 months and have had no issues of downtime at all so far. A useful set of in-built tools such as messaging, SMART goals, SWOT etc. with you can work on with the mentee. Staff really seem to have engaged with it with minimal support needed which was what I was looking for. Cons I would like to see a more featured admin backend that would allow me to amend certain aspects of the site myself such as the drop-down fields for the profiles or more customisable surveys. If I want to make any changes I can always put a call in, and they have always been implemented really quickly. It would just be nice to have some more independent control without having to contact the company. The is no specific phone app if that is important to you, but not sure it is needed personally...the site adapts and works well for me via a phone browser. We regularly see members using the platform to get advice on how to progress with their careers, gain support on new projects they haven't handled before or for help in moving up our grade structure. Members who choose to sign-up as mentors also appreciate the chance to hone their mentoring and coaching skills while building relationships and getting a sense of achievement in helping the next generation of quality professionals. When Covid-19 hit the island and we went into lock down the process was accelerated rapidly in a bid to try and help as many local business as we could - Chamber member or not! The platform has worked fantastically for us and is very simple to use and easy to navigate. The back office admin is really insightful, you can run reports and export data to excel. I also love that mentees can ask one off quick questions and don't always have to enter into a full on mentoring relationship. PLD are great at sending over articles related to mentoring that you can use to promote the platform as well as keep existing users engaged. I also really like that PLD send out reminders to users that still need to engage with either mentees or mentors - as you can imagine it would be a nightmare to try an keep on top of this yourself. All in all the platform has been perfect for us and PLD have been incredibly helpful and quick to respond to any questions or queries.
