### "Terrible Service and Deel's Gross Negligence"

My experience with Deel has been absolutely terrible. From the start, they provided awful service: they consistently failed to meet committed deadlines, had terrible communication, and frequently cancelled meetings at the last minute. This pattern of unprofessionalism and negligence culminated in a disaster with my O-1A visa petition, which was denied on November 24, 2025. The denial was not due to my qualifications, but due to amateur administrative errors by Deel's team. The USCIS denial letter explicitly stated that Deel \*\*forgot to attach critical evidence\*\* to the application. The officer wrote: \*"You did not submit that letter with your RFE response"\* regarding key testimonial and salary documents that were vital for my case. Furthermore, they contradicted themselves regarding the employer structure, leading to an automatic rejection. I strongly warn other founders against trusting Deel with sensitive immigration processes. Their negligence and lack of respect for deadlines have caused significant damage to my company's expansion plans.

Pros

Deel excels at Multi Country Payroll, simplifying global payments for distributed teams efficiently.

It helped my employer and me fill the legal and tech gap, as our countries require specific contract types and documents that, if we do not comply, could easily get us in trouble. Deel took care of that for both parties (contracts, legal documents that must be signed, payments, work submissions, engagement certificates, and there are more features I have not used). In the past, I had to send everything via email, Google forms, and transfer from Wise to Payoneer, then to my local bank account. All of this is now done in one app.

Pros

My employer and I were able to quickly set up my account, submit my work hours, and get my contract and legal paperwork signed. All of this while ensuring that we were in compliance with all applicable laws in both countries. It also gets me my money in a timely manner, as expected.

Cons

Nothing at all. It is simple to use. I haven't had any bad experiences with it since I started, so I've never bothered their CS team. They are also clear about their fees, when applicable.

### "Bringing the client closer to the Contractor"

My experience has been great, I have worked around 6 months to 1 year with constant payouts and time mangement. Allowed me to create a proper communication channel with my customer

Pros

It's easy to use, both the client and the contractor has the possibility to see how the time is being invested. The user has everything in on single place different ways of withdrawing the money and have it sent to you.

Cons

contractor still has to pay taxes on his own without having the platform create the deduction so the user doesn't needs to go thru the problem that replicates. It doesn't creates an electronic invoice that is sent to the local authorities for tax purposes.

Even with the slow-mo app, Deel is a total no-brainer. It took away all the stress of getting paid internationally and, more importantly, it was the tool that let me seriously start investing and take control of my financial future. If you're an international contractor, I honestly can't recommend it enough.

Pros

As a contractor from the Dominican Republic, figuring out the whole international payment thing used to be a massive headache. Getting Paid is Stupidly Easy: Seriously, I don't have to chase invoices or deal with complicated bank stuff anymore. Everything's in one spot, it's super clear, and I can just focus on my actual work instead of being a part-time accountant. The Deel Card is My MVP: This card is a lifesaver, no joke. I use it for everything online without a hitch. And when I travel? I can just swipe it without worrying about my local bank hitting me with insane fees. It just works, which is exactly what you want. The REAL Game-Changer: Investing: But here's the real kicker for me. Deel was my ticket into the real world of investing. It let me easily move my money to an international broker like Interactive Brokers, something that's usually a pain to do from the DR. This alone opened up so many doors and put me on the path to actually building wealth and getting some financial freedom. Forces Me to Be Responsible (lol): I also love the automatic withdrawal feature. I set it up to automatically send a chunk of my pay to my investment account. It makes me save and invest consistently without even thinking about it. It’s like financial discipline on autopilot.

Cons

My only hiccup is: The Android App is SO Slow: Look, nothing's perfect. My only real complaint is the Android app. It is painfully slow. I'm not even kidding, it's faster for me to open Chrome on my phone, go to the Deel website, log in, and do what I need to do while the app is still on its loading screen. It really needs a tune-up!

So far everything has been smooth especially the pay-outs. It has been the best platform we've used so far and I hope we maintain this platform.

Pros

It's very easy to use - time ins, time outs, scheduling paid time offs, checking calendar schedules and and monitoring. One thing i like about is getting payouts ~ it is relatively fast and convenient. Setting up is also very easy. Issues and bugs have also been easily resolved. Customer support has been spot on as well. To include to that, it is very affordable compared to other HR platforms as well. Contracts are well defined and notifications on any changes have been applied. I'm glad we are using Deel as our HR platform.

Cons

Nothing in particular, I just think that the set up hasn't been done properly yet due to the schedule of our boss' secretary since she forsees deel. The PTO set up of our company hasn't been properly fixed up until now.

However, the mobile app tends to be slow on my Infinix device, and I hope future updates will improve performance and responsiveness.

The time Deel uses to transfer money to my bank account is really impressive. Transfers are fast, consistent, and reliable. I appreciate how smooth the payment process is, and it gives me confidence every time I receive a payout.

Cons

I had all my salary going to my Deel account, so far everything is going well.My overall experience with Deel has been very positive, primarily because it reduces the 'admin tax' of global hiring. In my experience, what usually takes weeks—like vetting a local contract in Germany or setting up payroll in Brazil—is condensed into a few clicks. I particularly value the automated compliance guardrails; the platform proactively flags missing documents, which prevents legal headaches before they start. While the sheer volume of features can sometimes lead to a slightly cluttered UI, the time saved on manual cross-border coordination makes it a net win for the team."

Pros

Customer service, Fast money sending and Deel Advance. What I "like" most is their ability to make the world feel smaller. They’ve effectively removed the borders for talent, allowing a company in San Francisco to hire someone in Nairobi as easily as if they lived next door.

Cons

None, everything is going well so far. Because Deel scales so quickly, their customer support can sometimes feel the pressure. When you're dealing with complex, country-specific legal questions, the first-tier support chat might take a minute to get you to the right specialist. I’ve been using Deel for over a year now for receiving payments as a freelancer/contractor working with international clients, and overall it has been a very favorable experience. On balance, I feel positive about using Deel. For someone working globally, with multiple clients in different countries, Deel removes much of the friction that used to come with getting paid, handling contracts, and worrying whether everything is legal. Its benefits (predictability, reliability, support, transparency) outweigh the drawbacks in my case. If I had to give it a rating: I’d say 4.5 out of 5 - almost excellent. Would I recommend it? Yes - especially for freelancers, contractors, or remote workers dealing with cross-border payments. Just go in with an awareness of possible delays or fees depending on your country.

Pros

Deel supports payment in many countries, and helps with the local legal / tax / employment compliance. Users can choose from several payout/withdrawal methods, and receive pay in different currencies. Deel has partnerships (Wise etc) to make some currency routes easier/less costly. Dashboard/tools are generally clean, well-organized. Easy it is to onboard contractors/employees, set up contracts, view payment cycles - saves a lot of time and risk by centralizing compliance, labor law, tax obligations & value for money overall. Provides a variety of support channels - customer service is helpful & fast responses. Real-time tracking of payments, contract status, payroll cycles. Automatic invoice payments and management of multiple payment methods. Lastly, offers the Deel Card - virtual/physical Visa cards to use from your Deel balance.

Cons

Lack of transparency when things go wrong (why a withdrawal is delayed etc) - slow responses or unresolved repeated issues. Cost can be high like exchange rate markups, withdrawal fees & service costs - fees especially for smaller businesses or smaller transactions add up. Delays in payments (sometimes bank/SWIFT transfers taking several days) - Sometimes funds get “stuck”, or withdrawals do not reflect in local bank accounts timely. Lastly, limited mobile app functionality - major improvement needed for a more robust mobile app or better notifications.

Pros

Their new website is user-friendly and is optimized with the Deel App. A new debit card is easy to order, affordable, and fast to deliver. The site and app have all the information about my timecard, vacations, and time off requests.

Cons

I have not come across any issues or bugs with the App or the website. It does take a bit of time to get to know your surroundings.

Overall, my experience with Deel was positive. It simplified global hiring and payments by putting onboarding, contracts/compliance, and multi-currency payroll into one workflow, which reduced operational overhead and made scaling across countries much easier. Day-to-day usage was smooth for standard scenarios, and the visibility/reporting helped with finance alignment. Where it fell short was mostly in the exceptions: country-specific edge cases and policy nuances sometimes took longer to resolve, and support quality could feel inconsistent depending on the issue and region. Cost also becomes more noticeable as headcount grows, especially on the EOR side, so you have to be intentional about where you use it. I’d use Deel again if the priority is speed and global coverage, but I’d pressure-test support responsiveness and total cost for the exact countries and worker types up front.

I use Deel as a contractor, and my client (Genius Sports) pays me through it. The best part is how smooth and predictable the whole process is: contracts are easy to review and sign, and payments arrive reliably.
