I have found that Amaka has been there when I need them. Recently I moved from Xero to MYOB for this financial year but I was really worried that when I finally got a chance to do all my book work that the syncing between my bank account and MYOB had stopped. I was so relieved when Lyle at Amaka could do a historical sync for me. I was up and running in no time thanks to Lyle and Amaka. There are so many software apps and systems for small businesses that are great but when they don't work or you don't understand something trying to get support from them is often long and arduous. NOT with Amaka. Not only do they set up 1:1 appointments but they chase you if you've become busy running your business. Thanks Amaka.

Pros

They are really helpful which is great because a lot of small businesses don't have IT support so its wonderful to know we can rely on Amaka for the software services they provide.

Cons

You can't get a 1:1 consult on the day you find the issue BUT that's because they are so busy helping other people. On the upside they pursue you if you forget to attend because life in your small business has taken over.

I had issues with an integration, reached out for assistance and was provided a timely respond with professional and excellent service. It took a few different attempts to sort out my issues but we got there. I really appreciate the kind and personalised service, especially given that my integration is provided for free. Highly recommend.

Pros

The integration for software I require is provided by Amaka for free. Any time I've had an issue I am provided with outstanding communication from their team and great troubleshooting assistance.

Cons

Honestly, nothing! I am always very pleased with the help I have received over the years. I can't fault the service, nor the amazing support team. Thank you!

Apart from the excellent customer service, there was extremely poor communication of the integration for Xero users, especially small business owners who do their own bookkeeping.

I was never consulted when Xero integrated with Amanka and therefore continued BAU for 3 months without knowing Square and Xero were not syncing. My quarterly BAS which has been lodged with the ATO is out and integration was complex and transactions duplicated. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] in your support services was outstanding and went above and beyond to help me.

I was pleasantly pleased with the help with integration, explanation of how to reconcile the accounts as square transactions come into the bank, and the explanation of the services offered to make reconciliations easier.

Pros

I like the quality service in helping me understand the Square and Xero integration. I was also happy to hear about the services offered to help me with the management of reconciliations and discrepancies. The price seems reasonable and I will likely sign up for the service in the future.

Cons

The screen sharing in Zoom sometimes would not let me type in the boxes and I would have to stop sharing to type and then screen share again. However, this is likely a problem with Zoom rather than Amaka.

My client wanted to code the Square transactions into different sales accounts and once set up Amaka does this automatically with little coding to be done in Xero.

Pros

The simplicity and automation. Once set up correctly there is only a couple steps to reconcile the transactions, the rest is automated. Each transaction is split into stock items and then coded to the correct chart of account without me having to do it manually.

Cons

The set up was a tad confusing but the support I received was very helpful.

Reason for choosing Amaka

The reviews and the demonstration sold me.

I really appreciate that she made sure in detail that everything was set-up properly and even cleaned up my bookkeeping for the transition period so that I have no work on my side. I can't thank her enough for her support.

Pros

I was using a legacy integration (with another company) which was a pain to deal with! The Amaka automation is much more clever in its workings and saves me a lot more time!

Easy...but what I'm most pleased with is the responsiveness to questions or issues. Great service...and service that doesn't try to sell you extra things every time you email/call.

Pros

The ability to have quickbooks and square work together again is a huge relief. Do I wish this problem never came up...sure...but it did and neither quickbooks or square were there to help. Found this product online and now we are back up and running.

Cons

I wish it didn't have to exist. Quickbooks and Square used to work well together, but when they didn't, I could either change one or both of those solutions (and re-train staff) OR just add in this Amaka solution. Pretty simple choice.

Easy to set up the integration initially and everything worked well for some time. It stopped syncing due to an unmapped tax code and it would not let me access the mappings. After speaking to Hani, I was given clear instructions on how to reauthenticate my account and it allowed me to check the mappings. It has hopefully solved my issues and I now know what to do in future if it happens again.

Pros

Hani in Support was quick to respond to my email regarding an issue with Xero integration. She gave me clear instructions on how to reconnect Xero to Square and it solved my problem.

Cons

It's a little clunky and can be a bit slow

Overall happy to have Amaka support, can't imagine how Square would survive without Amaka (Squrae support / sales team is awful, no customer support or their product development road maps never considers tax obligations & requirement in any other countries other than US)

I wish if the email communication can be slightly easier. I found it is always easier to book a session, but never get enough information via email somehow... but Square itself needs some review on surcharge and tax setting (for non-US customer). They process surcharge as Tax and it creates the tax never exists in the real world, and it ruins tax calculation hence the POS becomes not possible to integrate with accounting system (as it counts Tax incorrectly as well as sales).

It is hard to believe how helpful \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] has been. We had two chats over skype and I gave her access to Xero as support so she was able to clean up a few mistakes I had created. She explained everything in wonderful detail with screen shots included! She must have spent many hours and I was not charged anything at all.

Pros

\[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] from Amaka helped me set up the integration. Once it was setup, my daily sales from square are automatically reconciled in Xero. It's like magic!

Cons

Nothing so far! Everything seems to work seamlessly, the way I imagined an integration of Xero and Square would work. This is awesome!

Amaka makes syncing Square to QuickBooks amazingly simple! I didn't expect it to be so easy to match Square data with bank deposits, but it was VERY easy!

I didn't like that it wouldn't sync past Square transactions with QuickBooks, but customer support helped me with this!!
