Its been great. We use it for everything in our office. So easy to upload and use your own templates.

Pros

I love that it an easy and fast way to reach out patients. It really cuts down on the amount of nurse calls we have.

Cons

Sometimes has bugs to work out. Will shut down for a whole day sometimes without any warning. It will always come back up.

We use Klara to text patients to reschedule or schedule appointments, give detailed instructions about their medical care or medications and answer their questions about their medical conditions. We also text patients their biopsy/pathology or lab results.

Pros

Easily reach your patients without disrupting their day and you can see that they have read the message.

Cons

Not being able to message land lines. It would be nice to have a way to message land lines with a computer (Ai) to call and relay the message for us.

My experience has been a very positive one and the ability to provide feedback in some of the beta processes has been well received. The team is great to work with and they are improving its functionality regularly

Pros

They are improving the AI Capabilities and it is directly integrated with our EMR. We are able to respond to patients quickly and it also removes cancelled appointments from the providers schedules right away.

Cons

With every software there are glitches. Occassionally it allows patients to create duplicate charts when self scheduling but it is improving

Excellent experience for me! It is user friendly and organized. This was easily incorporated in our work flow with every department in our office.

Pros

Everything!! Patients can leave voicemail or texts. The dictation of the voicemails are pretty spot on or at least I can make out what the message is. I love the fact it is HIPAA compliant for us to do our Telehealth video calls and send and receive documents from patients.

Cons

I don't have any "cons" about KLARA. I feel every practice should incorporate this system.

### "Klara is a product that creates efficiencies in all areas of a practice!"

Klara has created numerous efficiencies within our clinic. It is truly a multifaceted product. The ease in which we are able to triage messages across multiply departments, regardless of if our team is on site or at a satellite location, has improved our overall response time to patients. The voicemail transcription capability eliminates the time spent "pulling voicemails" off a phone, trying to hear what phone number they left for us to call back, and allows staff to quickly determine what a patient is asking for. We use EMA/Modernizing Medicine as our EMR which directly integrates with Klara so we sent statements, payments links, and bill reminders through Klara. We love that this product doesn't require patients to download a separate app, it only requires a text-able phone number. We have garnered more online reviews through simple prompts sent to patients at their 2-week post-op mark as well as streamlining our intake process. All necessary paperwork is sent prior to the patient being seen and upon completion is automatically dropped in the correct category within the patient's chart. These are just a FEW of the efficiencies we've gained with this product and there are still additional areas that we can build out to continue this process (all part of the same product without paying for "additional capabilities").

Pros

Klara has completely streamlined our internal communications, has enabled us to communicate with patients via text without having to setup a separate portal, and transcribes voicemails!

Cons

The AI learning part of Klara will sometimes incorrectly assign messages to the wrong person but that's definitely something that improves over time.

Overall - I love Klara. All the great features outweigh the one negative feature

Pros

I like the convenience of messaging multiple patients with one message

Cons

The only thing that I have found that I don't like about Klara is when a patient has been "checked in" in the office, they sit down in the waiting room and then "confirm" their appointment, Klara then puts the appointment back to "pending". If the front desk is not closely monitoring the patients, they will not notice that the patient is no longer "checked in". When you have a patient count of over 200 - this becomes a daunting task

I would rate this a 4.7 if I could. This is the third product I have used and I think it is the most user friendly. Have not felt the need to look at any other products.

Pros

I like the ability to cut and paste the message into a patient's chart easily. Also easy to customize responses if on vacation.

Cons

Frequently receive error messages that a response cannot be sent to a number. Not sure if it is specific to a carrier. Also, despite the message, sometimes the families receive the response. Also a little pricey. But, I guess you get what you pay for.

I have enjoyed my experience with Klara, it has been a wonderful, safe way to communicate with patients and follow up with patients after their treatments to check in and see how they are doing. Klara makes it easy to export any conversations needed to our system, along with assigning the conversation to me so I get notified when they respond. I love being able to communicate with coworkers through Klara as well.

Pros

I like the ease and safety of communication with patients! A lot of patients prefer texts over phone calls so it makes it very easy and effective to follow up with them.

Cons

I haven't found anything I haven't liked about klara, if I had to choose one thing it would be that it is complicating to be able to export pictures that are sent through Klara, if a client has complications with their skin and they send a picture, our protocol is to upload it to our system and sometimes I struggle with being able to do that.

This was as close to being a game changer as you can get for office communications. Issues that used to take hours to deal with (reading post its, calling patients back, having to leave voicemails if they are not answering) can now be handled in a matter of minutes. The setup took a little while because you have to reorganize your phone tree but its beyond worth it.

Pros

Completely solved the phone call traffic problem that we had in the office. Most patients like having a way to leave a message that isn't complex. It also puts voicemails in there too, so we can still see messages from people who are not online.

Cons

They recently changed the way documents are viewed online. So, from my experience, some people who are using mobile devices have difficulty viewing attachments.

I really enjoy Klara. I think it has been an asset to our practice. I like being able to send and receive attachments, have patients do their intake forms online, etc. There are some small things that could be changed but I feel over time it will be improved.

Pros

Klara typically is fast & efficient. I love the self-scheduling feature and the broadcast feature.

Cons

I would like to be able to "delete" certain patients out of broadcasts if the message doesn't apply to them. There are also a lot of occurrences of pts who will reply 1, 2 or 3 to their confirmation texts and Klara doesn't register it so we have to handle it manually. That is a little inefficient. I also wish we could block certain patients from scheduling if they require longer appt times or have frequent no shows and are same-day only.

On a scale of one to ten, I would say 5. It could be better, it could be worse. I do wish there were other options of platforms out there that function better than what Klara is offering.

Pros

I like the Klara patient reminder system, it has allowed us to customize what we send out to your patients, like new patient forms, Prep instructions, reminders about appointments, and even allows patients to send us follow up in the form of a survey about their most recent appointments.

Cons

There are always glitches that take forever to get worked out by the Klara team. Most recently is with their self scheduling platform, we were to go live at the end of April and they still have not figured out what the issue is, and the communication has been pretty sparse. If I dont reach out, I dont receive updates.

### "Great Communication Portal! "

I appreciate the accessibility of Klara for both us as the provider and for the patients. It is really convenient to be able to advertise a texting system rather than a nurse taking triage calls, we encourage patients to use Klara to send over questions and concerns and I believe this significantly reduces our office's phone calls throughout the day.

Pros

We love that it is confidential and easily accessible to patients. I love that it has the option to do E-forms so all paperwork can be completed in the comfort of the patient's homes before their appointments. I also like that each patient has their own thread so that you are able to keep things separate in their charts. I love that you are able to easily export, attach and manage documents; as well as exporting insurance cards.

Cons

We struggle with appointment scheduling, as the wording can be confusing for patients and they don't realize that they have not sucessfully booked their appointment. Klara shows the appointment details as if they have scheduled, but there is no clear indicator that you will get a text reminder when your appointment has been successfully scheduled. This has unfortunately caused conflicts in our practice with multiple patients a week arriving to the clinic at the time they thought they had scheduled an appointment.

Pros

Having immediate contact with patients helps in reducing delays in care. It is also extremely helpful to our patients who work as it is easier to text us than have to sit on the phone.

Cons

That the "unread" messages from the patients go back into our inbox.

a fairly easy-to-use, practical, and effective website

Pros

It helps us to be in contact with the patient in a certain way, and also provides the option of providing valuable information to the patient such as; appointment reminders, information request, etc.

Cons

It would be excellent to have more templates, depending on the scenario. For example, a template to provide the office number with the website would be helpful since the patient likes the doctor's profile and comments from other patients.

Very positive. I have really enjoyed saving so much time with communications since I am able to reach patients quickly and easily, and they can respond when they have the time.

Pros

The ease and accessibility of the messaging options. Since patients receive a text notification, the chances of reaching a patient quickly while still saving time on phone calls is invaluable. I also like the option to create templates to save even further time as well as the ability to send broadcasted messages and transcribe voicemails! All of these features are pretty great!

Cons

It would be nice if Klara actually interfaced with our EMR just so there are records in the patient's chart of conversations had by Klara text. This is just a small wish, though. Otherwise, no complaints other than the occasional tech issue causing some patients not to be able to access messages.

Really great! does everything as expected. I only run into issues if Klara is down or not working.

Pros

Our office does not have direct phone lines that patients can call into. We have a call center off site who handles phone calls from patient so Klara is a great way to communicate with patients directly who do not wish to go through our call center :) I also love that you can communicate with other doctors offices who participate with Klara to avoid calling and everything is documented too which is a plus while remaining HIPPA compliant.

Cons

Nothing I personally love Klara. I just hate that Klara locks you out for 1 hour after 3 incorrect attempts to login with no way to get back in hence forcing you to wait an hour to log back in. I wish there was a way to see what you are typing in as your password so that you can double check what you are typing to avoid incorrect entries.

Pros

Messages from patients come straight to our inbox and its easier for patients to reach us in regards to any questions or concerns. Or if they need to request any prescription refills.

Cons

Patients tend to opt out due to the frequent reminders. There should be an easier way for patients to choose reminder notifications without being annoyed.

Klara made my job a little easier too. I send out statements and a lot of people move and don't let me know. Most people keep their phone numbers. I can send a patient a quick text and I get fast responses. I love this option.

Pros

I love Klara. I can send new patient paperwork through Klara. I can ask a question in Klara and patients can upload their insurance and ID. All information automatically uploads to their chart and I can see if my messages have been read or not. I'd definitely recommend.

Cons

I don't have any Cons with Klara. Patients can respond on their own time; 24 hours a day.

Great messaging system. Private, confidential and highly efficient.

Pros

The capability to reach out to my co-workers without having to leave my desk. Privacy and quick responses for our patients care. I can access and provide answer to our patients 24 hours a day. Great feature of being able to confirm patients have received and read our messages.

Cons

Actually, its my own user error. Sending a message to another co -worker and not making sure it was not to the patient. OOPS, lol
