My overall experience has been great with Klara. The extra way to communicate with patients is a lifesaver, especially if we are giving a lot of information to the patient like specialty pharmacy/copay card information. I would recommend Klara to any office that is looking to streamline digitizing their office paperwork or communicating with patients.

Pros

I love the transcription of voicemails. Even though it is not always accurate, it saves me so much time from listening to all the voicemails I receive and lets me address concerns quicker and more efficiently.

Cons

The only thing I dislike about Klara is every time someone responds "Thank you", my group gets tagged. I'm not sure why, but it does clutter my list and I'm unable to figure out how to address that issue.

Great experience with Klara, this platform is easy to use, very reliable and support is there if you need it. We use this for two clinics and patients love the ability to contact us via text.

Easy of use and reliability, prompt support, will allow you to add your own documents to text out

Wish it had more languages, we are a diverse clinic with many languages

My experience with Klara has declined since MM took it over. Prior Customers were able to give feed back and were listened to.

Pros

1\. HIPAA-compliant texting that works well with our clinical workflow 2. We value the new phone integration and feel it has improved our workflow

Cons

Front operations offerings are not well developed. Therefore, we use other systems for online scheduling, patient paperwork etc. It would be nice if you either develop Klara to fit the needs or partner with a solution that specializes in this space (ie, promptly, next patient, clearwave)

Pros

How efficient the communication with patients is. How efficient the system is with video visits.

Cons

The price for Klara is kinda high compared to other services and that we are not able to share images between klara and our EMR system.

The implementation process was great. We were assigned an implementation lead and she did a wonderful job getting us up and going. But once we went live....any type of support or account management has been virtually non-existent. Nor are there adequate training resources for new employees.

Pros

These ease of use of the application. It is almost never down and is very intuitive. It has really helped our practice.

Cons

I do NOT like how Mod Med approaches support services for Klara. It is almost impossible to talk with an actual LIVE PERSON when there is a problem. Simple issues can be handled via email. But sometimes more complex issues need a human touch. Customers should have some sort of option to schedule time with a live support tech.

Overall, Klara is great if you're just needing to text/communicate between the clinic and patients. As far as the Intake process, that is/was a complete bust.

The texting feature is great for communicating with patients.

Pros

The ease of use is great. So much easier to just text and get a quick reply than making a call.

Cons

Since it is web based it glitches sometimes and it is hard to tell if your message has gone out or not.

Overall, I have had a very good experience with Klara. I advised almost every patient to reach out to me through there. It is helpful to assist patient's questions and concerns because there is no mainline number to call the office directly.

Pros

It is an easy and HIPPA compliant way of directly communicating with patients.

Cons

When patients reach out there is a delay resulting in longer response times from our end.

It has been a great experience. My staff loves it and it has definitely reduced phone traffic.

Pros

It has helped so much with patient communication and paperwork! Most patients have already completed their new patient paperwork and sent in their insurance cards before they arrive. We also use it for tattoo removal consultations and just have the patients send in a photo of the tattoo for a price. It has been a huge benefit to our practice!

Cons

Nothing negative to say. Klara was easy to implement and it is integrated with our EMR!

I like that I am able to have another way of communicating with the patients.

I have sometimes difficulty signing them on Klara or if I have to merge contacts because their phone numbers have changed.

Overall I like it, it's easy to use, patients like it and find it helpful. Avoids "phone tag" and is great for gathering insurance and identification info prior to appointments. Great for communicating with patients and sending documents securely.

Pros

Very user friendly and secure, even our older patients like it and find it helpful to reach us and the providers quickly.

Cons

Having to upload patient phone number from the system and you can't message the patient until that's done. Notifications for messages assigned to me would be helpful so that I don't have to log into Klara just to see if someone responded to me.

Overall, Klara is much better than playing phone tag.

Pros

I like the sleek design, the efficiency of patient communication, and how I can see when patients read the message.

Cons

I like least having to categorize massages from “unassigned.” It seems that I should be able to label whose patient this is in their contact info so it automatically goes to the correct or “default” inbox. I also have trouble explaining to patients how it works, and there is great resistance when they do not understand how to log into see what’s said.

Overall my experience with Klara has been mostly positive.

Pros

I like the instant messaging service and the way you can see when patients have read providers’ messages. I thought it was very user friendly.

Cons

I wish there was more collaboration with the EMR software so that all the communication would directly move to the EMR instead of having to copy and paste. I also don’t like that we have to log in frequently separately from logging into the EMR.

I would rate it 8/10. It provides convenient communication and secure access. However, occasional issues with patient log-in can be improved.

Pros

I like how Klara has a user-friendly interface and it's easier to guide the patients how to navigate during a telehealth visit.

Cons

Recently our patients have been having issues logging in and unable to view certain documents that we send. I understand that security may play a factor but I would hope there could be an easier but still secure way

We have had a good experience overall. It can be clunky at times but for what we use Klara for it works well for our clinic.

Pros

I like that we can text our patients. I also like that we can assign a message to a provider directly and also internally message them.

Cons

Working with customer service can be challenging at times because we don't have one assigned person to our clinic.
