During Covid, we had to bring our art exhibit online, and our viewers liked using these flipbooks so much, we have added them to our program along with the physical art exhibit. It's super easy to develop quickly, so we can move on to curated the gallery exhibit.
Pros
We have been super pleased with the user and developer ease of FLIPHTML5's Premium Plan. Since 2020, our visitors have been able to experience our art exhibits at home through the use of their flipbooks. We continue to be impressed by the beautiful aesthetic of this product and the helpful staff supporting it.
Cons
Everything is great, cannot complain about anything.

We have begun transforming all of our glossy paper and booklets to pdf but they were missing something and FlipHTML5 allows us to add videos and direct links to our materials so that it stands out to our potential students. It also allows us to send our publications digitally to our Alumni membership. FlipHTML5 allows for easy downloading for reading later and has a variety of accessibility features.
Pros
Flip HTML5 has a very intuitive interface. It allows for easy editing and embedding of images, videos, and links. We have plans to make all of our paper admissions materials into online versions using this software. We expect this to be a large cost savings for mailing large welcome packets as well as our alumni magazines. Customer support was very helpful with every question I had and their online help and tutorials were simple and easy to understand.
Cons
You have to take out a Platinum subscription to get unlimited downloads because our older Alumni users like to download the publications.

We are currently a platinum member and I think we are going to be staying with this program for a while since it suits all of our needs.
Pros
I like the ease in which I can customize our catalogs for each brand using this software. We have six distinct brands and this software allows me to create a unique template for each brand and display them on their own bookshelf. I have utilized both the desktop and the web version for upload and I have rarely encountered any issues that weren't quickly solved via a quick email to support.
Cons
The organization of the interface can be a little confusing for new users but overall I found it easy to navigate after reading over the user manual and playing around in the program a bit.

This tool is wonderful for our ad journal online and for the ability to download for print copy, when needed.
Cons
Have not worked enough with the tool to know any downside. The tool is easy to use and will be fun to create designs.

We use this to create a variety of publications for digital publication-only clients, in addition to creating digital products for our own use to enhance our offerings, proposals and knowledge base articles to our clients.
Pros
FlipHTML5 is easy to use and an easy platform to gain maximum attention for your products, catalogues, presentations, and anything that could use a "WOW" factor. We create them for digital contracts, sales presentations, client "TO DO" lists for onboarding, digital cards for special occasions and cataloging networks to include pictures of equipment and projects before and after. You can create digital content for anything that you want, and stand out from your competition.
Cons
There is a lack of frequent updates to the available templates offered. It would be nice to see backgrounds and other options enhanced once or twice a year in system and dynamic scenes. Added colors and themes would make the customizing process less time consuming.

Pros
I liked the end product but have had so many issues it wasn't worth it at all. Go with a more expensive service, it will save you headaches in the long run when this product stops working for you as well.
Cons
I paid for a subscription and the second I did that I'm unable to use the product at all. I've been refreshing the website and trying to log on from different computers to no avail. Very poor product and customer service. Something like this I expect to sign up and not have any issues. I really wonder if I've just been ripped off by this company. I would reccommend going with flippingbook instead of fliphtml5.

Price, which was a complete mistake. Thankfully I only signed up for 1 month so they only stole 35 USD from me. VERY HAPPY I didn't sign up for a year. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Entirely negative. Bad product, no support, zero value.
Pros
The interface is simple to use, but that is a reflection of how unsophisticated this software is. The software seems inexpensive until you realize how little it actually does.
Cons
Overly simple to a fault. Limited functionality from cloud version. Expect to require a local client download. Unimpressive level of customization whether cloud or download. There were a lot of frustrating technical and logistical issues while setting this up, which can be expected with any new rollout, but the technical service from fliphtml5.com is nonexistent. I'm not saying it was unhelpful, I'm saying it does not exist.

I'm fine with the purchase but wish it was better. It is a C letter grade for me as a whole. Price if features worked as I need them would be fine but as it is my only gain has been it is faster than the software I was using before. A big plus is the Mac OS so I dont have to run virtual PC, but I cant help feel let down a little. Customer service though responding both times quickly only pissed me off with their lack of service. Telling me it will be fixed in upcoming version isn't service. How about saying it is a known issue or something and seeing if there is an alternative solution to my problem or a work around. Any kind of suggestion other than my bad, we fix later.
Pros
#1 reason Mac OS support. Web tools ok too in a pinch to use. I like having the choice depending on the project. Software is easy to use and figure out. It is much faster to process files than the previous company we were using. We do 14 magazines a month and this was a big time saver. Platform stability has been solid too. No crashes makes my life better.
Cons
We purchased this software for a couple reasons and one of those was the ability to track data on their cloud of page clicks and so forth. That works, but we require a side bar ad for advertisers on the virtual magazine next to page one. It is a paid position that our advertising team sold and the customers fight over. This feature doesnt work. The ad regardless of size shows up a a tiny square in the bottom middle of the tool bar.......most times. One time it was giant and next to the cover.....same exact file. Customer service was responsive but useless. So we continue to upload to our own server with the janky frame system we have used for 10 years. For me to happy with this product I want the same control over our own ads as you have on the Google Ad Sense features. I dont know if I will renew after this year. I also was hoping the bookshelf would be useful and it is not.

We have members who need access to members only content, but we don't have password protection on our website. We're using FlipHTML5 to create content focused microsites and providing direct links to our members and will be using the bookshelf to create one larger, central repository, so that they only need one link to get deeper content.
Pros
Ease of editing, branding and sharing. User interface is great and highly intuitive.
Cons
It would be great if you could still edit text that is already on the page once a document is uploaded and if you could add a font that isn't currently available. Our main brand font, Century Gothic, isn't one of the options.

One of them seemed to be a more robust CMS solution, but it was roughly $25K, would have required a much more mindspace to get off the ground, and wouldn't have been ready to begin actual product development until 30-60 days after I wanted to launch my first e-magazine. So, lower cost, greater speed, and minimal mindspace.

The user experience. The Flip PDF editing interface is fine, but the output is based on Flash, which won't be supported by Google Chrome after the Fall of 2020. As it stands, the document wouldn't show up on my computer when tested unless I enabled Flash and downloaded a new version. That barrier to entry would completely turn off my end users.

We use it on Covid situation to enable our clients to visualize their advertisments on our magazines and books, cause we had so many expositions to appear on this year, and all of them have been reprogramed fro 2021. Also it's usefull for each client to controll if they are happy with what they've hired and to see it overall at each clients office.
Pros
I really liked you could read the text and link the webpages that were on the pdf automatically, cause some of our products are a lot of pages, and that would have been a lot of work otherwise.
Cons
I think it's hard to edit situations after you've uploaded. Like adding links, and this inability to edit a product on the website when you've uploaded from the desktop. Also the desktop doesn't save the work you've uploaded from there, so you can't edit something at all once you've uploaded cause if you did it from desktop, you can't from web, and you can't from desktop either. Or I haven't find the way..

Now that I solely use the online editor I love it. I do wish i could insert separate pdf files so that if i need to update just a page I can. Its a good thing i have Acrobate Pro so i can combine my pdf files into one before uploading otherwise this product would not work and i know for a fact that a lot of people do not have Acrobate Pro so i think the initial file upload should be changed to one where you can upload individual files that then get combined into the flipbook.
Pros
The ease of use on mobile device and how easily the flipbook can be shared.
Cons
The desktop version is awful so i suggest using online version all the way. The download process or initial setup was hard to understand. I think now in 2020 this should solely be used via the online editor and just ditch desktop versions because the desktop version is so outdated its not even worth it. So when i first started using this product i thought the desktop version was connect and the same as the online version and it took me a good week to fully understand that this was not the case so if i would have just been directed straight to the online editor or been given more clear understanding of online editor vs desktop then maybe it would have been more easy to understand. But yeah, getting started is very weird and unclear process.
