On last two years there were no one reason to switch to another tool. Pros My team is very happy about resource management, tracking projects, utilization, financial metrics and permissions features. Since we had invited very different groups of people (finance, PMs, delivery, sales, etc), everyone has set of features they like, and everything is working very smoothly. Cons We have pretty complex business intelligence tool to gather finance and project metrics, and we're using API sometimes. I would say that we're missing API features, but having public roadmap of planned features would be a plus. They were very helpful with the initial set up. I had a recommendation for changing the scheduler page which would help my team out. Runn was able to make the change in a few weeks. Pros Runn was very easy to set up for our company. I can easily create schedules for our current and upcoming projects. The reporting features are great. I love how easily it shows the profitability per project and scheduled vs worked hours. We have used other software in the past and they had more features than our company needed and were complicated to use. Runn does exactly what we need it to do at a good price point. Cons This isn't really a con because they are working on it but there currently isn't time tracking software and we have to integrate with Clockify. I'm looking forward to Runn having their own time tracking software so we don't have to use to apps. Pros It addressed literally every set of asks we had in the domain of Resource Management (Capacity, Forecasting, Utilization) and Project Metrics (Role/Person Assignment, Burndown, and profitability). It had the added benefit of being able to retire a dedicated time tracking tool as well. Cons If there were one thing, just one thing I could change, it would be: Nothing. That is why this feedback is 4 stars and not 5 stars. But as we could see that this software was such a great fit for what we needed, we persevered and I would have to say I am delighted that we did so. The software has certainly delivered for us. Pros We signed up to Runn primarily as we needed the resourcing tool and also wanted to track dollar and labour spend against budget. Runn has certainly delivered in this space, and while we have only been using Runn for the last couple of months, I can see it will become an invaluable tool for us. There is great reporting functionality also. As I spend more time in Runn, I am more and more impressed with it. I'm also very happy with your AI boot and how it always directs me to the right resources when I need to find things out. That is my 'go to' and means I hardly have to use the chat function. There is an extensive help centre which has been very well constructed, with videos and easy to follow instructions. We did our own implementation which has been pretty straight forward. Importing timesheet data is very straight forward, so no need to think this might be difficult, because it's not. Cons When we first enquired directly to Runn for demos and had questions, it wasn't the most helpful, but now we are using the software, I realise that all the information we need is available through either the AI chat bot or the Runn help centre, which is extensive. Very satisified. Pros It's exactly what I was looking for - something straightforward to let me see both person-time allocated & project-time covered. To ensure I'm not over-scheduling someone, but also that projects are being completed in the necessary time frame. It's been really useful for forecasting (exploring different options for assignment/time) and then keeping on top of priorities. I was able to pick up the interface very quickly and intuitively. Also - for once! - the AI assistant is very good - was able to immediately help me find a few things I had missed. In addition, I then had follow-up from real staff offering more suggestions/hints, and from real staff when I had questions beyond AI. A perfect marriage of immediate answers to straightforward things via a good AI-bot and follow-up from humans - ideal. I particularly like that you can ignore all the 'cost/money' options if you want: all our staff is employed directly so cost isn't really a concern compared to time, and I disliked how on other platforms you really have to put in numbers for them to work. However, if we have contractors in future this then matters more, so it will be useful to have the option! Cons The UI could use a little polish in a few places - some navigation is a little unintuitive (one can't always access things from the 'quick' menu bar - on one page you can, but from another you can't and have to click through to the full item page first - that inconsistency is a bit weird), and sometimes buttons/click areas seem a bit small. They seem to be happy to hear feedback on things like this and I'll be keeping my eye on whether they get incorporated. I imagine as they get more users and more feedback like this the UI will continue to improve and become a bit smoother. To be clear though - these are minor annoyances and don't impede getting done what you need to get done. (Sorry, can't remember all names) It did what I wanted where everyone else failed: It let me easily set up projects with overall time requirements (in days not just hours - thank you!), and then schedule employees easily at various %s onto these tasks. Then you can see both the % of the employee (are they overscheduled or under), how long it'll then take them to do the project - and whether the project has enough people/time to be complete. To me that's such a basic requirement, but nothing else I tried was able to give me that view. I was pretty jaded when I tried Runn and wasn't sure it would do it either, but it does it exactly how I wanted. Review Source KS Kim S. Easy to set up, customize and roll out to the different teams. Everything is built with care and it shows. Overall, I couldn't recommend it more. In just a few months, we are able to get better visibility and control over our services teams with a fraction of the effort. Pros Clean interfaces and easy-to-use software, that's what you need when you are dealing with the complexities of project and resource management. Runn delivers exactly that and keeps improving every week. Team leads now have up-to-date visibility on every front, including project financials, team utilization and beyond, without spending the entire day trying to source the updated data. it's ready for them. Cons Some Reports and permission levels are missing or are limited and we've had to figure out workarounds. Cons With a lot of pre-existing tools (time-keeping, invoicing, business intelligence), it took a bit of time to get everything integrated nicely. While they do have out-of-the-box integrations that might suit your needs well, we found our needs too specific and needed to make custom integrations. That said, their APIs have meant that we could do this integration reasonably easily. It's UI is clean and makes it easy for the user to understand how to complete their tasks. Their support team is also incredibly responsive. Cons Messes up the names which has accents in them.
