Developer Computer Software Used the software for: 2+ years ### "My Experience using Gmail" April 2, 2026 4.0 It has been a good experience as I can log in all my email accounts in one single place and all my services can be easily accessed and logged into easily. I can easily switch accounts by one tap and since I have a Gemini pro account, I can also compose my email via the AI compose feature. It a life saver when communicating with someone in a different language. Pros Gmail is a nice platform that has helped me for years to send and receive emails fast and retains a decent amount of security. My Organization also uses Gmail as their primary source of communication making additional features like meet make my work a whole lot centered around this app. Cons I don't like that a lot of my data might be getting stolen because I see a lot of ads based on the emails I have sent. I really appreciate Gmail's straight-forward approach and user friendly presentation. I've never experienced any issues when using Gmail, it has always been reliable for me. Pros Gmail has so many positive attributes and aspects but I think what I enjoy most about it is the fact that it's so easy to use and so widely used. Gmail is also very safe and secure. Cons Gmail has very few downsides but personally I feel the biggest drawback is the limited space and bandwidth that Google gives for a free account. There are many options to upgrade the account for more storage, but it comes at a monthly or yearly fee. I have been using Gmail as my primary email service provider for decades now. Because I use other Google services, I can stay signed in to my Google account and all features integrate perfectly! Pros Gmail is the largest email service worldwide, and there is a reason for this. It is accessible via a web browser, mobile app, or through third party email clients. Users can also connect non Gmail accounts to their Gmail inbox. Cons This is hardly a con, but there was recently an update to Gmail which resulted in subtle looking differences in several features which took me a few times to get used to it. Cons I sometimes have issues with sent emails going to a "queued" folder rather than actually sending but that could be on my side as my son doesnt experience this. I switched over 10 years ago from yahoo and have never looked for another email site since. Pros I love gmail I use it for work and for personal use. I love that it is easy to find the emails I need, organize and delete. I never feel overwhelmed using it and it never seems to have any issues. I never need any support because it's so straightforward. Cons I have a love/hate relationship with the nudge feature. I love it for work because it reminds me that I haven't heard from someone in awhile, I don't need it on my personal though because those emails aren't important. I love that it typically doesn't give me ads and things I don't want to see. I want email and that is what it gives me. Pros I love that Google is very easy to use and works syncing in other email systems. I can get access anywhere there is an internet connection. An at Gmail.com tells me this is someone who might be tech-savvy. Cons I dislike the layout on a web browser and the settings to create a signature. You have this intuitive product and the layout is still as if only personal users are using this. For business, the layout is very poor. Still have it connected so that I can access the history of emails since I was forced to switch to another carrier. Pros It is easy to set up a gmail for receiving mail. It allowed me to make the folders I needed to direct mail correctly. I was able to set up mail forwarding for my old email inbox that I was fazing out. Cons Vendors had issues sending me emails and got messages back that their mail was undeliverable due to the email looking like spam. I can change how to display my inbox and use different settings than my coworkers. I've never had a bug; it seems to work flawlessly and as designed. The cost for business is folded into a Google Workspace plan that seems reasonable for the price. Cons My only nitpick is that it stacks emails together that are similar, which is great most of the time but it tends to stack multiple submissions from the same form together and they should be treated separately. There's no way for me to use threaded display while keeping unrelated submissions on the same form separate. The workaround is too complicated and finicky to be practical. Review Source Rose T. It plays nicely with sharing sheets, docs, slides, etc and organizes emails and attachments in a cohesive manner. Pros Gmail is a great email provider, with customizable and easy to navigate features. I especially like the subfolders and ways that it syncs with drive to store documents, pictures, etc. It sends messages easily and offers a decent amount of free storage. It presorts advertisements into subcategories that helps keep my main inbox clear. Cons It does has limits on the size and quantity of pictures that can be sent, and pictures sometimes take some time to go through and be received. It is also not streamlined to batch delete hundreds of spam emails. Through google searches I can figure out ways to do this, but it would be helpful to have streamlined systems to manage storage space and deleting unnecessary emails. I can send almost all kind of documents, and even big attachments get shared as links, so perfect. Also with gmail, your emails are safe as long as you don't delete them, l like how gmail has spam as well as how it filters suspicious mails. I give it a 10 out of 10 in terms of usefulness, value for money, ease of use, and functionality. Pros I have used gmail, and other kinds of emails but l find it to just be the best and the most functional. It stays up to date, always improves its features yearly, and l have never had hacking issues with it. l feel safe sending private emails without fear of suspicious activity. the amount of storage offered is awesome. Every time I forget my password, I can do so quickly and efficiently. Pros Format. Interface. Organization. It's free, so that's great. I've never had issues with customer support or when reporting something. I like how you can customize the interface and how you can organize your emails in many ways. Cons Emails get lost at times, even when using the search option. I easily get my passwords confused and sometimes with the 2-step verification it is impossible to reset it without having your computer, your phone and other devices on hand.
