It excels at providing clear, real-time visualization of application dependencies and network topology without the need for deploying agents. Pros It's ease of use and ease of installation. The data from the system is also very relevant. The price is right on target also. Cons The depth of data presented can be complex, making onboarding and navigation slightly confusing for non-technical users. We have all data sources listed in Faddom what we wanted. Support is amazing that is the best part. Pros UI is super friendly to use. Data sources have enough variety for any environment. Best part is the Support, Faddom's AI support is easy to engage, just an email away with no hassle of logging into portal and entering tons of details. AI support generally answers the query in first go and support person then follows up on queries. Cons When joined to domain, we loose the capability to sign in with the break glass account. So in case of a disaster where we have to quickly login using breakglass account we have to first disable domain join from the console CLI. Faddom has brought me extremely much insight in the "hidden" domains of engineers and products (where people who have set them up in the past are no longer there). By far the best software product and company I have worked with in the last 25 years. Pros \- Fantastic tool for phase out of legacy servers, domain controllers - fantastic documentation tool - Provides insight whether network staff have implemented firewall changes - Visual tool for change management - Ideal tool for datacenter or cloud migrations Cons The licensing part sometimes need a manual renewal, this is however a minor issue. During this period there are parallel projects which are transitioning services to SaaS, but do not take all historic data, leaving legacy read only systems of some vintage. Faddom is not only helping us plan the migration waves in to Azure, but enables us to map historic and legacy applications which can then be rebuilt and moved to Azure in a compact and condensed fashion.One we have all our servers running Azure, we will use the base line functionality to maintain topology compliance and ensure there are no un recorded changes to topology Pros Faddom very quickly showed us how the legacy applications we were transitioning to Azure, were interconnected. It highlighted the undocumented communications with other servers and lead to the discovery of unknown file storage use.The eay to use graphical interface and intuative functions mean that it is a short learning curve to derive real value from the investment in the software.Use of migration wave information, enables us to quickly identify when a server is moved to Azure, the dependencies to other servers and applications, which means we can ensure that all services are moved simultaneously and not then prone to latency issues between on premise and Azure. Cons We have yet to discover anything we do not like about the product.
