Pros I really liked the ability to create a 3D model and have different views I can choose from such as dollhouse and walkthrough. I appreciate the paint color feature so I can choose the wall colors that will actually be on the walls. And I enjoyed the ability to use actual items I might purchase in the home for decor. Cons The only things I didn't like were that I couldn't choose the exact flooring or countertops, and I couldn't map out landscaping. It would also be beneficial to see the different elevation views. Pros As a new company it has been a great way to build an online portfolio, showcase my projects and a way for people to FIND me. I like that my profile gets pushed to the top in my market. You also get an account manager to help you with onboarding and things that come up along the way. Cons That you can’t get out of the contract via the admin portal. For a new company $3,000 is a lot of money to dish out right away. If it were half that for 1st year, that would help. I also don’t get that many leads from it. If I’m going to be paying the high cost I wish it came with a few more advertising features. Our posted projects were viewed and complimented regularly and we were even given a Best Of Houzz award, twice I believe. Users of the site seemed genuinely interested, but many had no set plans to build or remodel, and of these that did they were in very early in the process. This placed your potential sale somewhere between 1-2 years out and never. That's fine if that is what you're lead to expect, but that wasn't the case. Pros Aucun, je me suis abonnée pour avoir de la visibilité que je n'ai pas eu et j'ai testé les logiciels qui étaient inclus dans mon abonnement : je les ai trouvé basiques et peu pratiques en comparaison avec ceux que j'utilise dans mon activité, sauf le clipper quand il marche. (bcp de bugs) Cons Tous. J'ai souhaité adhérer à Houzz car c'est un annuaire bien référencé sur Google. Pour débuter mon activité, je me suis laissée convaincre par les belles promesses du commercial. Résultat au bout d'une année je n'ai décroché qu'1 seul petit projet à 245€ (et d'ailleurs à la fin de mon abonnement). Je suis persuadée que la plupart des projets que j'ai reçus sont des faux, disons à 80% (spams ou impossible de contacter les demandeurs que ce soit par téléphone, mail et sms). Les autres sont des projets irréalisables soit pas du tout dans mon secteur, soit fantaisistes avec des délais impossibles et/ou des budgets ridicules. Bref je veux bien croire que cela arrive de temps en temps mais pas systématiquement 2 x fois par mois sur tous les projets. Je vous laisse juge. Know nothing about hosting websites. Using HOUZZ, I have met clients who live around the corner and others far away. Pros Floor plan layout with the different colors and textures of thing. My clients have been impress with the AR funtion. Getting to see your kitchen while its still just studs is great for making minor changes before its to late. Cons It takes a while to get all the functions and feature down. I guess you could call it user friendly after you get the hang of it. I dont get to use it all that often so its a learning curve to get it if you dont use it everyday. I like Houzz with all its tools & customer support. There's still a way to pave but they're getting there! Pros First & foremost, I liked the fact that Houzz Pro combines design & project management tools in the same platform! It is good for its comprehensive set of instruments designed specifically for home design & remodeling professionals like myself. It offered me strong project management tools that helped me organize & track all aspects of my projects, from initial client contact to final invoicing. Cons As an Interior Designer using Houzz Pro, I found the cost of the platform, the learning curve for my new interns & the delays in responses (difficulty in getting timely assistance) are real drawbacks of Houzz Pro. Design tools have glitches all the time. It frustrated me in the beginning especially with client's appointments for presentations. I made it a habit to contact my Account Manager in order for him to raise the issue to the technical team. That usually took time to fix, nonetheless they're rallying to get better at it. They said I could cancel, but then charged me about $130 for an that I used for five minutes. SCAM. Stay away from this company. Pros Nothing. I tried to use the app to model what my new home would look like with certain furniture, but the app was terrible for that purpose. Cons This company scammed me out of money. There was a point in time where the estimates were frustrating because of the constant saving. But I have not noticed that issue anymore. Pros We use Houzz Pro to track FFE project selections, such as plumbing fixtures, furniture, etc. I love that I can use their clipper and easily add to specific rooms in my projects and easily create boards and selections for client approvals. The process of selection to invoicing is easy and helps us be more productive. Cons We also invoice for projects out of Houzz Pro. I do wish I could pay the transaction fees for bank drafts but have my clients pay the transaction fees for credit cards. I feel that would allow us to get paid by our clients sooner.
