Not very user friendly and complicated to use.

Pros

The option the client has to approve and disapprove individual items on their end. It is user friendly for client facing and billing. Not so much for internal company use. It auto saves.

Cons

It is not simple and user friendly to use, especially in comparison to Studio Designer, which I loved. The process and steps of creating proposal, purchase order and invoice are different and the linking is much more complicated. updated and changes take place without any notification to the company. time billing will not total up the hours and cannot filter per date, etc.

### "Houzz Pro and an Organizing Business"

I have received some good leads from advertising on Houzz Pro, but not a many as I would llike.

Pros

It is an excellent, multi-purpose site for many businesses.

Cons

It does not have a specific category for my business, which is organizing.

It's been a great help with creating prints for permitting as well as making estimates for projects.

Pros

The ability to scan rooms into the program. Then make adjustments and move to a takeoff.

Cons

They don't get have a way to scan exterior.

Pros

What I liked most about Houzz Pro was how it helped streamline my project management and client communication all in one platform.

Cons

The thing I liked least was that some features felt a bit clunky or limited in customization, especially for invoicing.

My overall experience with Houzz Pro has been a good one. It went downhill the last year with qualified leads, but with my doing a better job of managing my website and their reorganization I am confident the lead quality will be better.

Pros

I have been subscribing to Houzz for many years and what I like about Houzz Pro is that it has everything any builder, remodeler, subcontractor, architect or designer needs to help your business succeed.

Cons

What I didn't like is that the support contact wasn't allowed enough time to deal with my problems, but with the new reorganization I think that is changing.

We used to get jobs through HOUZZ!!! Still a great place to direct potential clients to see our past work, unfortunately, they will see other designers work, which might be fine...

I scrolled down to the last Lead, February 20th... Since then we've Won ONE Job.

Overall I do like the system. It just takes some getting used to.

Pros

The estimates with AI. So nice to give a customer a rough estimate right on site.

Cons

Well I can’t get the lidar to work on my phone for the 3d scanner. Just frustrating. Customer service is pretty good though and I’m working through the issue. wish this system could do edits on my phone/ipad. Also make this lidar work for decks or other outside projects.

Bait and Switch. Watch your renewal dates.

Pros

Used schedule program with some success. Tried to negotiate a more fair deal after the automatically renewed subscription but they would not shorten the contract. They don’t care about their customers!

Cons

Renewed subscription automatically. Price went up threefold. Renewed for another year and would not shorten term. Offered to downgrade program which is less expensive but totally useless to me.

The learning curve on Houzz Pro was pretty simple to get going, however being a deconstruction contractor in which the program was not designed for it has taken a few years to get it adapted for me and I still have a ways to go it seems.

Pros

With Houzz Pro I'm able to manage my customers and projects with efficiency and stay highly organized. Using the takeoffs side of the program I have been able to develop standards in my estimating and templates to speed up the process.

Cons

The customer section is built for working with one client per project. I'm a deconstruction subcontractor that works with big General contractors that have multiple project managers, and estimators that I work with. That part gets complicated for me at times.

Pros

I like using stopwatch, time/expenses, retainers, invoices, and payment. I also like takeoffs.

Cons

Leads. I get a lot of spam. Also, the leads (that seem real) disappear after the first call as ghosts.

I have had a delightful experience with everyone from Houzz Pro and the software so far.

Pros

I like the ease of use with houzz pro, I am on day 1 of getting this software and so far I have taught myself quite a bit.

Cons

I am coming from pen and paper to a software, so I dont have any negative things to say, I am happy with their customer service employees and thrilled with the ease of use.

I so far dont like houzz pro. Ive been trying to use it after i paid a lot of money for it, and i can't. The manager i was assigned to doesn't answer nor call me. Customer service is terrible, and nothing gets resolved. While they are trying to sale you their service they are readily available anytime you call or email. Once you pay for the services noone will help you. Noone else will help you. You have to depend on the salesperson that tricks you into purchasing a subscription every time you call.

Nothing is to like so far. I cant get the help i meed to even experience my subscription.

It's a great software program for a residential remodeler who needs estimating, takeoff, and other project management features.

Pros

I like the ease of set-up, the multiple available features, the availability of help and feedback from Houzz associates. For a company our size (2-5 employees) it is an affordable alternative to other project management software that is usually exorbitantly expensive.

Cons

Some of the features are still a little wonky, but the company is still actively trying to improve the product so it's not a huge problem.

### "A Houzz Pro Converter"

I've marketed on Houzz for years but have been using my original client facing software throughout it all. This year, I decided to refresh my subscriptions and got introduced to Houzz Pro and WOW! I am blown away by the upgrades of this service and how easy it is tp use.

Pros

I like how intuitive it is and how inclusive. The service as a whole could take me from concept to completion with each design project.

Cons

I've only been in in for the month, so I'm learning as I go, but so far there has been a lot of help to understand the details and services. Responses are fast.

Pros

The estimating feature. We love the options we can adjust to customize our estimates to fit our business's needs.

Cons

That the estimates can't be permanently locked for the clients. The estimate is a live link so if you don't change the settings back before a client re-clicks the link, they can see all your internal prices. Also, the floorplan layout is great but lacking in options for finishes and it would be lovely to have a deck/screen porch feature.

Thank you for your feedback Michelle! The customization options available on Estimates, include the ability to hide columns from your client. Even after sharing an estimate with a client, you can always go back to Edit mode to check your internal prices without affecting the client view. If you mark certain columns as hidden from the client, they will not be visible to the client.
