Cons Because there is a lot offered, its hard getting started, That being said, it isnt necessarily a "con", it just further solidifies the depth that Houzz offers. Pros I love that it is an all-in-one system for managing my business AND attracting leads. Houzz Pro is convient and easy to use. Pros Houzz Pro is an all encompassing software and is perfect for my interior design business. It not only offers inspiration but you can make notes and create ideabooks for clients. It also markets for my business by just having an account. But it goes beyond just the pretty things, it is also a management software where you can track budget, schedules, release proposals, track payment and track your time per job accordingly! I've had a few different softwares but this on has it all! Highly recommend Houzz Pro for you business and project management needs. Cons The only complaint I have and the only missing piece is it doesn't have the ability to send out an actual contract to your clients. It meets many of the needs I have as a boutique full-service interior design firm. I have tried many other software programs and Houzz Pro is one of the easiest and most functional. Pros I was an original Ivy user years ago, and recently came back to Houzz Pro after trying many other interior design software programs that were good, but not great. The 3D room scanner and floor plan generator was what drew me back - it's been such a useful tool! While I don't use Houzz for lead generation or client communication, I do send my clients their portal links to view their project details (selections, moodboards, etc.) live, which has been a great feature. Cons The 3D room scanner has glitches; I've noticed that in very large spaces (ie. an open living/dining room in a large A-frame house with 25' h ceilings) the scan was so inaccurate that it was useless. It's also not able to scan new construction (ie. framed-in walls with no drywall). There are a few hiccups while using it but still very helpful. Pros Tracking products, the product clipper extension, and mood boards. Cons Purchasing gets confusing. Especially the way taxes are set up. Sometimes vendors calculate their taxes slightly different so there's no way to add a tax or additional fees column to balance our quotes vs. the taxes calculated by Houzz pro. Leads are well tracked/simple to make notes. Any changes made to our website, which is through Houzz as well, are easy to make from the Houzz pro web application. Their customer service has been helpful when we need to make adjustments. Cons Only one 'admin' can be a 'super user' of the site. I understand the thought behind this, that you don't want too many cooks in the kitchen, however, it would be great if you could more easily assign roles to admins rather than having one super user with all the power. Designer Furniture Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Houzz Pro Unethical" November 6, 2024 1.0 It started out as okay, though there are many limitations to their Houzz Pro programs for designers. The most disturbing part, is that they increased my monthly rate, with out permissions. They switched me to the highest level of plan from the most basic without consent. I am a part time designer and this cost increase is hard to absorb. Houzz refuses to do anything about it. Negative opt out marketing is illegal in many places - beware! Pros I could clip images. This can however, be done easily with other, much less expensive software. Cons They are not an ethical company. If you complain they disconnect your chats without addressing.
