### "Houzz as a Marketing Tool for Architects"

I use Houzz to discuss materials, put together quick estimates for clients, track leads, use email and website more effectively. Really appreciate the constant addition of new features like online payment and expertise on website and email marketing.

Pros

Lots of great features including help with Website design, email marketing, online payments and online shopping/specs. The interface is attractive and I especially appreciate the Pro support services.

Cons

Houzz doesn't fully acknowledge the complexity of an Architect's role in the design process--we need to cobble together tools from Builders and (Interior) Designer sections.

Overall positive. The ability to run essentially the entire administrative side of the business from one portal is fantastic. Marketing, Lead Gen, Website creation on the front end and creating estimates from takeoffs, getting signatures for projects, and collect payments all in one space is amazing. The only reason we have decided to move away from the platform is a shift in business direction that doesn't require us to be as customer-facing any more.

Pros

Comprehensive set of features can work for most small businesses of varying focus within the building industry

Cons

Tools lacked the depth to be top-tier options in the space. While the breadth of the tools is great, being able to do more with each individual tool would be welcome.

so far is good for the leads and it depend on the person who you are working with, i used to work with some good people at houzz, and for a while, then i got the new one and it seem to be slow with the reply and action

Very positive. Looking forward to fully implementing it with our current process and growing our company with it.

Pros

All in one solution for our house building and renovation business. Love the financing and payment integrations, estimating capabilities and client dashboard. The 3D modeling walk through and design is awesome.

Cons

It's a lot to learn. Definitely have to invest time in training your team to get full benefit of the product.

I was told there is a 30 day free trial when using the proservice, I signed up for the service then canceled 2 1/2 days later, due to their online floor planner being difficult to use, but HOUZZ is still billing me monthly. I have reached out to customer service, but have been told that I signed a contract and the 30 day trial does not exist, even though the trial offer is listed under prices on the website even today. This place is disgusting, they have no interest in keeping their word, and dealing with customers with Integrity! DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!

I was working with two software programs but with houzz getting better and better i was able to drop the other and saving me money.

Pros

How easy it is to measure and the new AI is fantastic.

Cons

Sometimes i need to create a project when measuring with droid when it is still a lead.

So far it's been good! A few little hiccups that we are working through, but overall it's been a great tool for our team and our clients.

Pros

The ability to grab product photos so easily with the clipper tool to give our clients visuals on their estimates has been awesome. I also love the takeoff feature when grabbing measurements to bid projects. And the 3D room scan will be super helpful to us as well.

Cons

The calendar syncing. Does not work like we had hoped. But hopefully in the future it'll get fixed where we can have a master calendar view of all the jobs scheduled!

Good, and the chat team is always very responsive. There is just sometimes not a technological fix to our issues.

Pros

I like how we are now able to more easily group products on clients proposals

Cons

The approve and decline function on the proposals. We ask clients to go in and approve and decline and then let us look over it so we'd like to be able to do that in real time without them having to click submit.

I do feel the program itself is a program that sets you up for success, and makes you feel capable of giving potential clients the best service you can provide them with.

Pros

It has so many features to offer you to have a successful business and carry it out professionally.

Cons

I feel like all the features, but it could be a bit more organized and in categories that makes sense to it's functions. I also noticed the video tutorials are not all up to date, so there are something's that are confusing when following through with it.

The advisor assigned to me normally had to contact an advisor to get the answer to my question. Once this became tiresome, I felt I was being a nuisance and eventually caught her Bs’ing me in circles. It then appears they were paid on commission and once my commission because challenging, she gave up. Extremely disappointing because I was onboard for the simple fact the scanning feature was accurate. Overall, the advisor assigned to me killed the deal and I cancelled.

Pros

Ease of use, built in Lidar scanning feature for rooms to help with takeoffs.

Cons

Program didn’t feel complete. It felt as if they gave it 100% in the scanning rooms feature, but when creating estimates it wasn’t nearly as streamlined.

I unfortunately had a bad experience with Houzz Pro - the software itself is okay, but it was more around the sales and customer service where things fell apart. I was promised so many things by the initial sales rep, that just turned out to be untrue. I felt like he just said what he had to say in order to get my business. After expressing my concerns to a customer service agent, I was given a discount off their annual service. However, when my one year mark came up, I was shocked to receive an email informing me that my bill would be going up by over 400%. When I reached out to see what could be done I was basically told that I could cancel. So I did.

Pros

Take off feature, and the online estimates.

Cons

Did not integrate with Quickbooks, Employee Clock in/clock out feature did not work properly, 3D rendering software was glitchy and not user friendly, no way to capture allowances for finishing selections, pricing increase was over 400% after first year.

Pros

It handles all of my client management, project management and purchasing. I love the clipper for proposals.

Cons

They are always doing new things, so hard to catch up sometimes but worth it. It's on the high side for pricing, but I have a big business to keep track of.

I use Houzz Pro mainly to manage my projects and I find the system easy to navigate and appreciate the variety of offerings like 3D renderings and proposal writing.

Cons

The cost has increased over the last year and I am disappointed by that. I also used to be able to keep good notes on my projects in the system and now am not able to do so.

I actually do like the software quite a bit, for the most part it is wonderful. Where it really goes down hill for me is the financial part of it. It is so lacking and clunky. That part of it needs a lot of attention. You HAVE to enter a PO, then log payment on PO, why not add the option to manually enter a material or vendor invoice. The accounting/financial portion of this feels very much like an after thought. Everything else is awesome. I hard a hard time deciding between a 3 or a 4 so I went with the 3.

Pros

Client/Leads module, one of the best I have seen (and I have seen a lot). Marketing module makes it so easy to create and send campaigns at any level of expertise. The estimating and take-off module is miles above other software in it's category. The 3D Floor Plans Tool - so easy to use and the accuracy is awesome, I have wasted so much time playing with tool (and I mean that in a great way. The interface is very user-friendly and easy to navigate. Converting the leads to a project is so seamless and easy. The invoicing module and client interface all top tier. The schedule module is so easy to use for anyone. The dashboard is easy to navigate and follow. Ideabooks & Mood Board are such an awesome feature. Tasks are also great.

Cons

The "Certification" is very lacking, it doesn't deep dive into any of the modules except the 3D Floor and even that is lacking. The entering of project "outgoing" money is very lacking. The financial reporting capabilities is also very lacking. Have to invite subs and vendors to add them to the projects is aggressive and unnecessary.

Houzz Pro has an exceptionally user-friendly interface and its impressively comprehensive suite of features. These two elements were absolutely pivotal in my decision to subscribe to the platform. Specifically, the intuitive design and extensive functionality have significantly streamlined my daily workflow, allowing me to manage projects with unprecedented efficiency and organization.

That it doesn't have the ability to save/recall original estimates, only shows the new estimate with the new changes.

How many tools in one I get with one software. Houzz Pro has replaced 3 other software product we were using previously and gave us like 3 more that we were looking to purchase in the future

Cons

Sometimes certain features can be a little buggy, otherwise I dont have many complaints. It would be nice to be able to pay for the software yearly while paying for the advertizing monthly

Pros

The client dashboard makes me look so professional and makes it so easy for my clients and I to communicate about design choices. It's also so easy to create 3D floor plans, even if you don't have CAD experience, and clients are always with the walkthrough capabilities. Support is also very responsive.

Cons

I wish custom 3D models came standard with the subscription, rather than as an add-on. I also wish it was easier to add custom wall treatments like molding and wallpapers to the 3d floor plans.

Its good but some of this is difficult to learn as the tutorials move very quickly and sometimes not easy to follow.

Pros

Takeoff software is great. We mainly use it for digitizing plans for takeoff purposes. I need to learn how to integrate it in to the estimating part and project management but have not been able to learn that yet. The learning curve is a bit difficult if I am not able to directly communicate with a technician. It can be difficult to speak with someone when you need it to answer a question quickly.

Cons

I like all of the what house pro does but I need to learn to use all aspects of the software as we mainly only utilize the takeoff part of it.

the ability to find anything your looking for as far as design and to know Houz Pro certified contractors are some of the best in the business.

Cons

as it keeps getting simpler and more features are added it's really a 8/10 rn but could be a 10/10 with a few upgrades in the next couple years

Its been good for me as a CRM and keeping track of projects. I've used the design tools however feel they need some updating.

Pros

The amount of options to aid designers, and tracking projects. Its a good CRM tool as well. Invoicing system is good for me.

Cons

design tools are not that good. Those options like mood boards, libarary, 3D design I'd like to see stronger.
