### "Horribly Immoral Customer Service"

February 21, 2025

1.0

Absolutely terrible. I have never had someone try to take advantage of me and take so much money like this before. See Cons section.

Pros

nothing. See the Cons section. They charged me almost $6k for a service I did not want and have not used

Cons

They set me up on a free trial. My sales rep, \[sensitive content hidden\] intentionally misled me by explaining all costs in terms of monthly cost. Then at the very end, sends a contract that has me paying for the entire year up front. I had multiple conversations with them about how the service was not working out for me during the trial period and how I was going to be using a competitor instead. Rather than cancelling my account, they send me a link to cancel it myself. I fill out the form and forget about it. Months later when doing annual reconciliation of my business, I see I was charged $5,750!! They said they have no record of a cancellation form from me. I have not touched this app or utilized any service since the trial period. When I attempted to work with customer service to get my money back for a service I do not use, they flat out denied me. Shame on me for being in a hurry and not paying attention to that contract I signed. But for the company to show zero flexibility and common sense is unacceptable. Charging someone nearly six thousand dollars for a service they do not use is absolutely insane. Collecting my money on a technicality and not by actually conducting mutual business of money in exchange for services. They displayed to me that they are not a trustworthy company and do not have the ability to look at a situation fairly for their customers, I will absolutely never recommend this company, and in fact will be very actively steering my friends away from this service in the construction company. DO NOT USE THEM. Their competitors are much better, look up other options for construction software.

I didnt. I specifically told them that their product was not working out for me and that I was using a competitor and then they charged me anyway.

### "Misleading upfront charges of $4,000.00"

June 19, 2025

1.0

Cons

As a contractor, I was contacted by @houzzpro about trying their system about a year ago. I was told it would give me access to high-quality leads in my area (Palm Beach County) and a scanning tool to help generate fast quotes. I ended up being charged $4,000 up front for an annual lead service—something the sales rep never clearly explained. The scanning software barely worked (maybe 10% of the time), and I received maybe 2 leads per month, most of which were low quality. When I reached out to customer service to understand the $4,000 charge, I got zero support or resolution. This was a very disappointing experience, and I wouldn’t recommend it to other contractors. If you’re considering Houzz Pro, make sure to get everything in writing and confirm that you won’t be charged up front without clear consent.

### "Converted from IVY"

June 18, 2025

4.0

It's been a good experience. I am impressed with tech support and the training offered! $99.00 is an adequate cost for the platform.

Pros

My favorite feature is being able to draw out the room with your camara This feature was a game changer for me and convinced me to convert from IVY.

Cons

All the add-ons that cost you extra. Budgets should be included in thr plan since it's a critical part of the design business.

### "Terrible Customer Service and Leadership"

May 27, 2025

2.0

Good at selling the software and terrible at helping train and with issues. It is expensive and not worth the investment. Very disappointed in what could be a really good software.

Pros

Product (software) is just ok and the customer service and leadership is terrible. I am only giving the 2 stars because the software is promising however the leadership and a customer service is absolutely disappointing and terrible. The whole lead generation portion I purchased is 100% a waste of money. Never do it again and I would recommend that you don't either. I had issues with getting my money using their credit card service and again no leadership just a bunch of excuses.

Cons

Terrible customer service. No accountability no supervisors are ever available if you have a concern.

### "Most complete project management software tool for contract"

August 19, 2025

Overall, my experience has been good, a few glitches here and there, but overall they have the most complete

Pros

I really like the fact that this is such a complete software. I’m able to do almost everything I need to run my business. I really like the fact that they have a 3-D scan scanner so I can show my clients what their project will look like at the end

Cons

I feel like the quality of the 3-D scanner has gone down. I’m not able to get as accurate of scans as I did before. Hopefully this is something they are working too correct because I am actively looking for another software until this is

Pros

The support team is amazing. I’ve worked with many different contractor softwares and my coaches in Houzz have been the most helpful coaches I’ve had.

Pros

The entire package is a wonderful software for contractors. The estimates look amazing and my clients love them and the client portal.

Cons

The latest update combined the labor and material. Now I can not see what the overall cost of material is for a project.

### "My review on houzz"

September 12, 2025

5.0

Overall i love the software but the cost for everything isnt matching the return. The 3d floor plan is a great tool but needs to be simpler.

Pros

Project management. I love being able to make my estimates. Having my template ready to load is such a time saver.

Cons

The 3D floor design is moat confusing to me. Being able to click the floor to add vinyl or tile should be easy. I usually just skip alot of options because of how confusing it is. Also raising fees. I cut out zones to save money and price increases just bring it back up. Lastly leads are getting fewer and fewer. Slowly its starting to cost me more to have houzz then im actually getting from it. Not sure how long i can continue.

### "Good product, not great service. I feel like I'm being cheated."

April 25, 2025

3.0

Not great. Most everything has been me figuring it out on my own. After my initial onboarding, it's been crickets and no one will contact me back. Not my rep, not the website people, not the lady that signed me up. She was all about responding to me pre-sale. Afterwards, NOTHING.

Pros

I like the take off option the most, just wish I had the ability to do a shop drawing on it. That would make it great.

Cons

The customer service. I have the best package plan and it includes a website. Here I am 4 months later and still can't get anyone to answer my freaking phone calls, even after calling customer service.

### "Houzz Pro is a great program"

October 16, 2025

Overall, I like the Houzz pro ease of creating estimates and renderings, I also love that I can collaborate with other subcontractors.

Pros

I like the ease of creating templates for my estimates, I like that I can get paid faster than waiting on checks to clear

Cons

program needs more options for cabinetry, like more sizes, more options to for curved countertops, and my clients/contractors cannot open comments when the open the 3D renderings, that needs improvements. Also, the change order should come with the subscription that I pay for

### "Amazing program for productivity!"

June 6, 2025

5.0

Overall, my experience with Houzz Pro has been great, increasing my productivity and keeping me from losing profits in the small details.

Pros

The ease of creating estimates with prebuilt templates and AI assistant makes the back-end process so much less time-consuming, allowing me to focus on the actual construction process.

Cons

There is a learning curve to getting 3d plans input and getting takeoffs from those plans. With that said, guide videos have been helpful in learning the process.

### "Houzz Pro is a Scam"

May 22, 2025

1.0

Scam

Pros

Several years back, we received a legitimate lead from Houzz

Cons

Houzz pro is a scam: confirmed. I received an email that rates would be going up by 30% and was given no opportunity to opt out or pause subscription while we re-evaluated the value to our marketing and branding strategy. Instead, they auto renewed the account and threatened to report our company to collections if we didn't continue to pay the new amount to "honor the terms" of the agreement. We gave them the option of allowing us to pay the fees we never agreed to with the understanding that we would be severing business ties with Houzz or put the account into a paused state until were able to better assess how to utilize Houzz pro services moving forward. They opted to burn the bridge so we paid the fees in exchange for account cancellation. Again, they autorenewed after we asked them not to and said there was "nothing they could do about it" once the autorenew at the higher rate had occurred.

### "BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY"

November 14, 2024

1.0

I am leaving this review because I would like to help ALL potential businesses from wasting their money and their time into Houzz Pro. I am a business owner of (3) different businesses: real estate investment company, remodeling and moving company. I signed up with Houzz Pro about 6 months ago for my remodeling company to have a better and more efficient estimates and bid system for my company. I will say that part only Houzz has a decent system in place. I found out while talking to them, they also did marketing for business as well. It sounded very good on the phone with the package they had to offer, and I decided to go with it, along with their software program for contractors. So, I spent some time setting up my profile and loading pictures of projects with some small descriptions on it, so protentional clients could see the work we do. I attached our website to these pages as well, which is very well layout website with tons of pictures of projects we have done as well. Now comes the problems with Houzz. With talking with other contractors and talking to people at network meetings about the new program/subscription (Almost $5,000 for the year) I had with Houzz and how I was not happy with any of the customers that came through, to where they were NEVER responding to emails, calls or messages through Houzz or any other ways either. From all the people I talked to about this, that used Houzz had similar and other issues as well, on way they were not happy with at all with Houzz. When finally doing a deep dive into Houzz throughout the internet, I started finding a ton of negative feedback with all the same issues. Houzz has a 1.03-star average on BBB with 500+ complaints in the last 3 years alone. They have a 2.5-star average on site jabber. There Reddit complaints are through the roof. The list goes on and on with reason why not to sign the contract with this company and the reviews and complaints on the internet are very accurate. I hope if other people/business read this, they do their research before giving any money or signing anything with this company.

Pros

\-Software for bids is easy to use -Gives a nice detailed lay-out for customers to understand

Cons

\-Poor value for the money spent. -Most leads never respond via phone, text messages, app messages, thru app calls, emails or any other way. -Account managers phones when call are ALWAYS busy. -Some of the rudest staff when you ask for help on constituent issues with Houzz. -They tell you things you want to hear (such as having pricing for all materials that i use list) I asked very detailed questions about what i was looking for and many parts were not true

Switched from

[Procore Estimating](https://www.capterra.com/p/157661/Esticom/)

I made the switch because they tell you whatever you want to hear to get you in the door. The value of your money that you spend with them is the worst by far of any marketing/software I have ever used.

### "I got scammed"

January 9, 2025

1.0

Attention all contractors: Do Not Use Houzz. An absolutely atrocious platform. Their customer support is virtually nonexistent. Took almost 2 months to get a reply to my email about a simple customer support issue. Before signing up for Houzz Pro, I was informed we could increase or decrease our monthly spend as we please. After signing up and not getting the results we were hoping for, I asked to decrease our monthly spend by decreasing the number of regions where our profile is being promoted. Now they're telling me that's impossible and the best they can do is allow me to pay off the whole year in one lump sum payment of $13,000. I would not recommend Houzz Pro to anyone. There are much better things to spend your money on if you need leads. Houzz Pro has no intention of helping small businesses grow, and are a predatory company complicit in conning us, among many other companies, out of thousands of dollars.

Pros

Nothing. Can't think of one good thing about Houzz Pro.

Cons

Complete lack of customer service, we are paying for Houzz pro to get leads but they rarely if ever send leads, and when they do the leads are awful.

Alternatives considered

[Home Inspector Pro](https://www.capterra.com/p/70519/Home-Inspector-Pro/)

Reason for choosing Houzz Pro

They sold us on it, and made it seem like they were actually interested in helping us. Instead, it appears their approach is to get the contract, and then ghost their paying customers, hoping we forget that we're paying an exorbitant amount of money for their services.

My initial experience has been great so far! Customer support has been wonderful as well. It is fairly user friendly.

Pros

The AI assistance is a huge time saver when entering in product and building 3D projects. I also like the ease of communications with clients directly from the program.

Cons

### "Pro Member since 2017 "

November 14, 2024

1.0

We have been Houzz Pro members since 2017. While at first, there was fantastic value for money, our experience has degraded significantly over the last few years. In the beginning, Houzz offered exceptional visibility and relevant leads, making membership a truly worthwhile investment. However, in recent years, the platform's value has steadily declined. Even though we pay more than £4,200 each year for our Houzz Pro package, most of the leads we currently receive are of low quality and poorly aligned with our needs, to foster an illusion of engagement without providing any genuine advantage. The support is also disappointing. For example, our account manager has not responded to support emails for over two months now, and escalations through Houzz Support have done nothing to fix the problem. Houzz further referred us to a "manager's manager," but we never heard from them either. Houzz has recently been focusing on promoting its project management system—a tool that might be helpful for smaller design firms or smaller contractors without an established system - which at the same time are usually companies that can't afford to start with Houzz premium prices. However, as a construction company with complex project needs, we find the Houzz management system to lack in many key areas, such as: System Speed: The interface is painfully slow. Even simple tasks, such as responding to clients, can take over a minute due to too-long loading times in multiple fields. Ease of use: The platform, in trying to handle the needs of the designers, architects, and builders, has turned out very complicated and difficult to navigate. This, of course, would result in slow performance. Due to these problems and headaches, we have chosen to remain with our current systems, as only we know what works the best for our company system and selling, despite Houzz sellers selling the sunset. However, we find ourselves constrained by a 12-month contract that renews automatically without notice or shout-out, if you won't cancel it 1 month before the contract ends - Which you of course miss because you find yourself busy working outside of the Houzz management system. In short, The best Houzz advantage is a great platform for presenting projects, which everyone can do on their platform for free without spending any money. Investing in Houzz Pro, Has not delivered on its promises outside of the free Version. The leads generated are not justified by the sizeable financial investment, and other advertising platforms deliver similar, if not better, results for the same cost.

Pros

The best Houzz advantage is a great platform for presenting projects, which everyone can do on their platform for free without spending any money.

### "EXPLORE OTHER OPTIONS - Disappointing Product"

November 2, 2024

2.0

Terrible experience. We have tried to give this product a chance and sought help from our account rep and houzz's product specialist. No one can provide realistic answers. I mean we have had a different "dedicated account specialist" basically every few months. They just change the person out and don't really tell you anything except here is so and so. So you are continually rebuilding a relationship with your account specialist and re-explaining you frustrations in an effort to get a resolution.

Pros

We were originally sold on the concept of Houzz Pro and what it could suppossedly provide but this excitement for a potential solution for our company turned into disappointment. The service was lackluster, product underperformed, features were promised and never supplied. Basically we were lied to from the beginning.

Cons

At this point in our contract with houzz pro, I would say that we are completely over this product and company. DO NOT USE THEM. They lied to use regarding the extent of the products capabilities and when asked if we could cancel the service due to lack of product capabilities, we were told that it was not possible.

Houzz pro is a waste of money. The leads generated are too few and usually a waste of time. This subscription has cost me more than it's made. I'm negative and no new leads are being generated. This is a terrible platform for business owners looking for exposure. I will not recommend houzz to anyone.

Pros

I liked the idea of getting more customers and growing my business. That did not happen in reality.

Cons

They would not allow me to cancel my account mid term and kept charging me monthly. The subscription cost more than the amount of business gained in the 2 years i had the service.

April 2, 2025

1.0

Waste of time and money. A small construction company does not have the capital required to use Houzz Pro

Pros

Honestly there really wasn't anything outstanding about Houzz Pro. If the services, they sold us on would have worked it would be an ok CRM but a lot of it was useless. Lack of being able to show elevations,

Cons

Glitches in the system. System very slow. Inability to organize files and access them in a quick manner. Lack of knowledge of customer service. Lack of response for helping through our issues. Lack of wanting to resolve our dispute. Ignoring our desire to cancel and threaten with collections.
