### "HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND - Look elsewhere "

After spending approximately $6k almost 60 days ago my company is still using our old CRM and Microsoft products. \[sensitive content hidden\] is our "Client Onboarding Specialist" and we've had (1) 45 Minute intro session and (1) 30 minute session. No structure for truly setting up a company. You must watch videos on youtube or their directory in order to learn the platform. The problem here is that the videos showcase stuff you can't access (or the videos are outdated and need to be removed from their directory). I've asked for a new onboarding specialist in hopes of learning how to properly setup my company on this platform since I've invested $6k, but after 8 days my request has only received a "Hello, Thank you for getting back to me. I apologize for the late response. We have been out of office for a long weekend due to the holiday. I am in talks with management on this and will get back to you once I hear back from them. Thank you for your patience.". I used other CRM's and the onboarding process is thorough and the team helps set you up for success. Houzz Pro is the exact opposite. They act like you are an inconvenience to them. Poor onboarding structure and customer service. I know the product is probably great, but its impossible to run a company and become proficient in something without a proper training. I wish I knew this was a self taught system prior to investing because we would have went with a different company.

Pros

The pitch given by the salesperson was great. Daniel Guither showcased the platforms tools very well. The 3-D Floor Plans are a great way to showcase the design, custom templates, easy payment collection for clients, integration with quickbooks, they also help with website management, etc.

Cons

The onboarding is atrocious. Plan on dedicated at least 50-80 hours just to get the setup in the system and learn how to navigate it on a very elementary level. This is only learning how to use approximately 10% of the system. Another major issue is reaching someone at the company. You get sent in circles. I've reached out to the Sales Rep over a dozen times and he refuses to acknowledge and email or phone call. Big on promises but refuses to follow through on any of them.

### "Houzz threw the years"

I I have used it for years and it has grown the tools and they seem to work at improving the ease of use. Getting leads and tools that help me run my business

Pros

Putting all the tools together and giving a professional platform with only genuine reviews of work. Having the ability to show your ideas and track the progress. Giving my clients the tools to see the vision.

Cons

Dealing with tools that stop working and how the burry the help tools and how we only get help during weekdays. The price has tripled in the last 2 years. When you used the 3d tool it glitches and is it getting true measurement. Then you have take hours to correct the scanned walls and cabinets. Having enough build tools for design no ceiling elevations for seconds of homes . Not being able to use IPad to design drawings and mood boards Being able to get quotes with actual cabinet elevations with each measurement of cabinets on the drawings . Being able to show clients the changes to the proposal.

### "Houzz helpful in keeping design business on track"

Overall, I've had a very positive experience. There are so many useful resources to me as a designer, as well as tools to make running my business easier while still continuing to learn tips and tricks and insights from the home design industry.

Pros

I love the fact that there are so many tools in one spot to run my business. Costs did get a little high for me so I had to drop the website management, but still feel as though Houzz offers so many tools to keep my projects managed, organized and in a snapshot format I can check in on. I enjoy using the software for invoices and managing payments as well. The mood boards, 2D and 3D software are so easy to use.

Cons

Cost can be a little on the high side and coordinating how to use all the different tools so you are redundant in their use. Some tools can be a little tricky to get the hang of.

### "Almost loving everything about Houzz pro"

overall it has been good. But this year I almost switched based on support I was not getting as well as features that were once included in my package that were not this year.

Pros

Everything is integrated from measuring scans, 3d modeling, selections, schedules and invoicing it makes it so easy to complete everything in one place. I can collaborate with clients easily, get approvals etc.

Cons

Payment for clients has not been the best experience and many client complain about the fees and don't like giving all the information required to make a payment. There are bugs with collaborating with subcontractors. For long time users like myself the user support where I once had a rep has gone away and now I have no one to contact. Not loving that. Plus the fact that some of the cool features are an extra price and if I need to customize features I need or do not need that is not an option.

Over all I am satisfied with our investment. Houzz has done a great job developing the software and they are continuing to add to it

Pros

3D rendering, financial report, and customer dash board. these tools have been great and have helped improve our process making it more efficient and transparent

Cons

The training is very limited there's a lot to learn with this software and only 30 min trainings at a time make it hard to fully learn the system. And no payroll function.

We've had a great experience with Houzz Pro. It's user friendly, any technical issues are resolved quickly, and our clients appreciate the clean, professional interface. It truly serves as a one-stop shop for everything we need.

Pros

I love that Houzz Pro offers an all-in-one solution. From creating floor plans and mood boards to handling authorizations, purchase orders, and invoices - everything can be done within a single platform. It streamlines the entire process, making my workflow much faster and more efficient.

Cons

We invoice our clients twice - once before placing orders and again after the items have been installed. However, clients often get confused because both invoices share the same number. It would be really helpful if we could issue multiple invoices under a single authorization to avoid this confusion.

I would never use them again if i wasn't signed into a year contract. They promise you the world but their support is the worst. They charge for any support. The "account manager" assigned to you is always unhelpful and always booked out at least a week.

Pros

Ability to 3d scan locations. payment processing is easy and nice. I like integrations for alternative payment methods.

Cons

Contracts is a mess. Completely unusable. Support is a nightmare. Invoicing doesn't work properly cant import or export templates for invoicing. Promised the world but they don't live up to expectation.

I use houzz pro for everything in my business. From invoicing to proposals it has it all. I love the houzz pro clipper that allows me to grab information from different websites for different products I am using.

Pros

I love the project management aspects of houzz pro. Also, as a Solopreneur I enjoy the floor plan scanner and find it is pretty accurate.

Cons

I wish it was a little less expensive but it does include quite a few things I need in one package. I tried other software for less and it wasnt as user friendly.

Not what i expected. Horrible experience with the way they say you signed a contract. But they know you didn’t. But i'll be following up to show you guys how i'm going to make an example out of these guys and their predatory methods.

Pros

Very disappointed!, I cancelled my free trial, they still charged me a contract we didn’t sign. now we going to send this over to our attorney. Since they believe they can give this a test drive to see if it's real.

They have potential, but the predatory methods to hook users is going to come to an end very soon,..

One feature I wish Houzz Pro would improve is the ability to permanently delete clients. Currently, the only option is to archive them, which can clutter my database over time. One of my favorite features is the Clip Tool — it’s truly a game changer. It makes sourcing products so much faster and more organized. Cons

Overall it is a very useful platform, I only have the basic subscription so some of the functionality that I would like to benefit from on occasion just isn't there but I don't currently have a need for that functionality enough to pay for a higher level subscription.

Pros

I enjoy it's AI functionality, the intuitive estimating process, the recent addition of the Home Depot pricing and the automation aspect for the client follow-ups.

Cons

I do not appreciate the way it is constantly trying to get me to "secretly" pass on the finance charges to my clients by asking me to raise the markup percent. Your app pushes the payment option so hard and the fees for every little thing add up. I know there is business in banking but this is an estimating CRM style software, the money grab mentality is very disappointing to say the least.

Generally, we really love it, and appreciate how dedicated the team is to continuous improvement.

Pros

It is excellent and manages 90% of what we need in our business (and probably 10 additional things that don't pertain to us). It has been reliable and trustworthy for our firm since we opened. We especially love the time tracking and retainer management making the tedious task of billing easy!

Cons

It is expensive - and the additional fees per user make it cost prohibitive to roll out to the whole firm. Also we wish we could charge the fees for credit cards, but not ACH. We would absorb the 1% for our business, but want to pass the higher fees through to the client.

Overall I am satisfied with the product and plan to keep it. If it had income and expense tracking like quickbooks I would then get rid of QuickBooks and upgraded my membership because i would like to try the change order functions in Houzz.

Pros

I like the professionalism of the estimates and the ability to add photos and copy templates. The AI estimate creator is really helpful as well. I also like collecting payments through the system and like how the customer is charged for service fees instead of me having to calculate it and add it on my end.

Cons

I wish it had a few more functions similar to quickbooks for expense tracking and logging where I could eliminate my QuickBooks subscription and just have Houzz only.

Great! I wish we had used the software more in the first year and been able to utilize the additional help included with new users. Now we will have to pay for it. The YouTube training videos are very helpful.

Everything I need to run a multifaceted construction business, in one place. Keeps everything organized, and all team members and clients on the same page.

Cons

Learning the necessary order of operations through mistakes and trial and error. I'm struggling with proper invoicing and change orders. How much operating capacity of my computer the program uses (LOTS)

I love the ease at which I can create and send estimates. I can manage my time in the office better because of Houzz Pro.

Financial reports are not as flexible as other programs. It would be nice to see our closing percentages and average invoice in this program.

So far, it has been excellent. Far better value than my previous software. The support is superb. They provide the ability to advertise and create a profile which has already lead to a couple of new leads coming in that I wouldn’t have otherwise had. I have been able to customize the software to my needs and create different auto populating line items to streamline my process.

Pros

So far it has been a great switch from Buildertrend. Everything seems very seamless, has awesome support with dedicated people available to assist. The program itself is easy to use and has great ways to make my life more efficient.

Cons

Haven’t found anything this far. I ran into a few bumps but team was able to help and even added a few improvements to the list for the future.

### "Houzz Pro is Home"

Overall, I'm happy that our team has switch to Houzz Pro. The client design consultation process can be lengthy, especially when clients have difficulty visualizing their space. But, the model display and ability to edit while in consultation has proven to shorten the design process and improve client satisfaction and confidence in us to deliver the house of their dreams.

Pros

The ability to interact with my colleagues, shareholders and clients on Houzz has been an invaluable experience which has helped us deliver to our clients a more transparent view of the design and build process. Being able to illustrate my design concepts and calculate take offs in one platform has given me a substantial improvement on efficiency, allowing myself and my team to complete a greater number of projects to the same and even higher standard of care. Not only this, but the ability to amalgamate our scheduling and budget into the same platforms allows all of our team access to the information they need without having to search multiple platform or documents for the information they need.

Cons

Like every software, there is a learning curve. Thankfully, due to its simple and accessible interface, becoming familiar with Houzz Pro doesn't take nearly as long to become well versed in compared to other similar software. There are some softwares that are highly customizable which is nice but can take a long time to set up. While Houzz Pro doesn't have that level of highly customizable options, it does allow you to get started faster and re-orient your use of the platform in the future.

We like the program for one reason and one reason only and the truth of the matter is that another company charges less and does it FAR better than Houzz does. The customer service is so lacking and bad that it has soured the entire program. They all defend each other so much you can't get the help you need with the program and at the exorbitant rates they charge with a locked in contract they know you can't do anything about it. It has ruined the entire program for us. We will be leaving as soon as we are able.

Pros

LOVE the 3-D layout ability to give my client an impressive walk through and a great way to show changes they request before literally hacking into a wall and them not liking it.

Cons

Customer service is in the gutter, they are not transparent when it comes to locking you into a 12 month contract, the program has features that they state work but when they don't work for you, rather than opening a case they just tell you that it isn't happening.

Reason for choosing Houzz Pro

We wanted the 3D layout. My recommendation to anyone at this point is to go with Jobber and myDoma for the walk through and layouts. SO much of a better experience, better QBO integration, better customer service AND the two combined are cheaper.

Overall really happy. Some small things could be improved but overall really good. Still didn't go through some of the features like collaboration on the project and time stamping each project feature

Pros

3d floor planning is really useful for us and helps us close more deals. Customer support is really good and we rarely wait more than a few minutes to chat with someone. Estimating is easy and making templates really helps a lot.

Cons

Some small things like not being able to make custom invoice names templates so I have to manually write the new number every time. Home Depot not being available in Canada and 3d measurements are sometimes inaccurate

Love the ease of the planner, the integration from proposals to invoices, and the option to run reports for outstanding invoices.

Pros

Absolutely LOVE Houzz Pro!! My favorite tool is the 3D Room Planner… very easy to navigate and plan the space!

Cons

The only thing that I wish I could be better is being able to have an option to bill the project to another entity.

Getting better but not a well oiled machine.

Pros

Visual aids- Time billing reporting. Mood boards and selection boards.

Cons

Glitches. project tracker is very slow. Messages with clients doesn't work 100% of the time and clients get frustrated with us not receiving their messages. Integration with quickbooks isn't seamless, have to watch and check for errors. esp with taxes and rounding.

I find the pop up help window quite helpful and timely. Overall very pleased

Pros

I like the selections boards and using that to create the proposals thru pos. I also like how it connects with quick books for streamlined booking. From the design perspective I really love the mood boards and the space planning with the camera-what a game changer! To have all of this in one place?!?! Amazing

Cons

I wish I could u out my own library selections into the space planning rather than just using the stocknitems from Houzz library. I also wish I could see one wall elevations at a time not just in the 3d view.
