### "Houzz Pro is a Go!"

March 31, 2025

4.0

It has been a good experience thus far, and their support team has been quick to respond and assist with any issues encountered.

Pros

I like the 3d rendering software and its ability to populate directly into a quote for quick project estimations. The product clipper makes it quick and easy to add products to your selections board and quote out items that are not included on the houzz platform already, making it easy to sell anything you can source to your clients. It has a strong built in CRM to assist with clienteling and lead development.

Cons

API access should be added so that you can integrate external catalogs and systems into it for a broader range of selections and increased integration abilities.

### "Houzz Pro Experience "

August 14, 2025

5.0

We've had a great experience with Houzz Pro. It's user friendly, any technical issues are resolved quickly, and our clients appreciate the clean, professional interface. It truly serves as a one-stop shop for everything we need.

Pros

I love that Houzz Pro offers an all-in-one solution. From creating floor plans and mood boards to handling authorizations, purchase orders, and invoices - everything can be done within a single platform. It streamlines the entire process, making my workflow much faster and more efficient.

Cons

We invoice our clients twice - once before placing orders and again after the items have been installed. However, clients often get confused because both invoices share the same number. It would be really helpful if we could issue multiple invoices under a single authorization to avoid this confusion.

### "WORST- Do not use. No support"

February 11, 2026

1.0

I would never use them again if i wasn't signed into a year contract. They promise you the world but their support is the worst. They charge for any support. The "account manager" assigned to you is always unhelpful and always booked out at least a week.

Pros

Ability to 3d scan locations. payment processing is easy and nice. I like integrations for alternative payment methods.

Cons

Contracts is a mess. Completely unusable. Support is a nightmare. Invoicing doesn't work properly cant import or export templates for invoicing. Promised the world but they don't live up to expectation.

Hi Carter, I’m very sorry to hear about your experience, and I appreciate you bringing this to our attention. I oversee our Global Client Success team at Houzz and would genuinely like the opportunity to look into this and help make things right. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to locate an account based on the information provided in the review. If you’re open to it, would you mind reaching out to me directly with the business name or email address associated with your Houzz account so I can investigate further? I’d be happy to personally review the situation and see how we can help. Thank you again for sharing your feedback. Best, Nikki Ward Thomson

### "Houzz for remodeling"

August 1, 2025

5.0

Very positive so far. We are still in the fielding stage. Tracking field time is doable but we havent sorted through the details yet, \[sensitive content hidden\] will help with that. Same with selection boards and mood boards.

Pros

Efficiency and marketing value. The lidar scan technology and the ability to transfer that quickly into a 3d mockup and an estimate/contract is essential. \[sensitive content hidden\] has been awesome with the onboarding thing, helping us get comfortable with new software. I like that our guys in the fiend can see product codes, selection photos, and scope of work along with a ridiculously easy navigation capability. We are still working on the email templates, but that shows promise as well.

Cons

It's not always easy or intuitive to get things done. For example, converting a lidar scan to a 2d image so takeoff and estimate can be pulled from it, the estimating process is easy but miss just one step out of several and you can't recover.

### "It simplifies business!"

July 12, 2025

4.0

I have used it for 5 years and it has helped save our business time. The price increase has been a negative for our business but hopefully I will be able to make up the yearly revenue.

Pros

That it is a platform for customers and business. I like that it has the features to make the mood boards, selections, and 3D.

Cons

There isn’t enough training on how best to use the software. It goes out often with problems and glitches.

### "Florida Construction Q3"

July 31, 2025

3.0

Good communication, poor problem solving with the teams. I would like to have a timeline at least for when we expect the solutions

Pros

It's vast capabilities. The 3D Floor plan tool and the ability to create floor plans in the same app that I do my project management in.

Cons

These vast capabilities function horribly. The budget tool is way too basic. The takeoffs aren't linked with the associated estimate for live edits. The floor plans don't save as a PDF with any useful clarity. The estimating tool only lets you estimate based on $ / Unit Qty meanwhile I should be able to input the rate of production for that assembly and it spit out the $/Qty. There's a whole laundry list of what's wrong with the software and I'm quite preturbed I switched over to this software and it's so undeveloped

### "DONT FALL FOR IT. "

October 20, 2025

1.0

not enjoyable. started off good but once you really dig in you start noticing everything that is lacking. they present it all shiny saying look at all the stuff we offer then it falls flat once you realize none of the features are complete and every aspect is lacking.

Pros

3d planner and being able to scan the room with my iPhone was nice. not to much more I liked or could say good about it.

Cons

every aspect of this program is lacking in some way. the 3d/layouts was very limited. payment processing was extremely slow and you have no control over it. no way to look at your actual subscription. you are limited on most everything. not very user friendly no one im management can seem to fix any issues its always someone else who does it but nothing is every done no value for what it costs. there is way cheaper options that are better no customization practically. just dont waste your time definitely dont fall victim to their marketing packages there are a huge joke.

I am still learning and transitioning. A little exasperating. Hopefully it will become easier to navigate.

Cons

### "Poor Communication"

July 31, 2025

5.0

Pros

While the platform itself has some useful features, the lack of consistent support and professionalism has made it difficult to rely on Houzz as a true business partner. Unless things improve dramatically, I’ll likely be moving on when my contract ends.

Cons

I've been using Houzz Pro for several months and had high hopes for the platform, but I’m honestly disappointed. On two separate occasions, no one showed up to scheduled meetings—without notice or follow-up. As a construction professional, my time is valuable, and these repeated lapses in communication are unacceptable.

### "Awesome program so far!"

October 30, 2025

5.0

So far, it has been excellent. Far better value than my previous software. The support is superb. They provide the ability to advertise and create a profile which has already lead to a couple of new leads coming in that I wouldn’t have otherwise had. I have been able to customize the software to my needs and create different auto populating line items to streamline my process.

Pros

So far it has been a great switch from Buildertrend. Everything seems very seamless, has awesome support with dedicated people available to assist. The program itself is easy to use and has great ways to make my life more efficient.

Cons

Haven’t found anything this far. I ran into a few bumps but team was able to help and even added a few improvements to the list for the future.

### "Houzz Makes it Eazzy"

June 6, 2025

5.0

With the help of a dedicated manager from Houzz, it is easy to upload photos, getting material pricing is a click of a button, and project tracking is a breeze. Houzz has created a fantastic portal that is easy to understand and incredibly efficient to help entrepreneurs succeed.

Pros

Houzz Pro is an excellent one-stop-shop for designers and builders alike. They have created an infrastructure that accurately captures all phases of the building process - from connecting us to clients, to managing material selections, right down to scheduling and pricing.

Cons

### "Thumbs Up for Houzz Pro"

March 20, 2025

5.0

Generally, we really love it, and appreciate how dedicated the team is to continuous improvement.

Pros

It is excellent and manages 90% of what we need in our business (and probably 10 additional things that don't pertain to us). It has been reliable and trustworthy for our firm since we opened. We especially love the time tracking and retainer management making the tedious task of billing easy!

Cons

It is expensive - and the additional fees per user make it cost prohibitive to roll out to the whole firm. Also we wish we could charge the fees for credit cards, but not ACH. We would absorb the 1% for our business, but want to pass the higher fees through to the client.

### "I'm still new but I'm loving it. "

April 8, 2025

4.0

Pros

I love how the whole system is set up. It has been very easy for my crew to get used to using and all customer project information is stored in a convenient way. The features available really help cut down on time spent working on estimates, floor plans, and changes are so easy to make without getting rid of the quoted item completely.

Cons

The communication system is not what I had hoped it was. Customers have a hard time with communication through the app and you have to check your email threads. Even if it shows a customer looked at your estimate in the title, there could be a totally different client response in the same email. There is no notification in Houzz Pro itself nor is that communication in Houzz mail or chat. I also do not like that I cannot see the clock in and out times with our guys. I can only see how many hours they worked. I don't understand why i can't see those times.

Switched from

[Contractor Foreman](https://www.capterra.com/p/166113/Contractor-Foreman/)

Contractor Foreman is clunky. Information is not streamlined so there is a lot if second and third entry tasks. There are no 2D or 3D floor plan options. Every time the system was updated I'd lose full estimates, projects, or individual invoices petaining to a project. I learned not to trust it and now print everything out as a backup and all clients have a folder with info from the first meeting notes, all estimates sent, invoices, etc. Not to mention the crew could not get used to it nor did the app function when they tried.

### "Amazing program for productivity!"

June 6, 2025

5.0

Overall, my experience with Houzz Pro has been great, increasing my productivity and keeping me from losing profits in the small details.

Pros

The ease of creating estimates with prebuilt templates and AI assistant makes the back-end process so much less time-consuming, allowing me to focus on the actual construction process.

Cons

There is a learning curve to getting 3d plans input and getting takeoffs from those plans. With that said, guide videos have been helpful in learning the process.

### "Pro Member since 2017 "

November 14, 2024

1.0

We have been Houzz Pro members since 2017. While at first, there was fantastic value for money, our experience has degraded significantly over the last few years. In the beginning, Houzz offered exceptional visibility and relevant leads, making membership a truly worthwhile investment. However, in recent years, the platform's value has steadily declined. Even though we pay more than £4,200 each year for our Houzz Pro package, most of the leads we currently receive are of low quality and poorly aligned with our needs, to foster an illusion of engagement without providing any genuine advantage. The support is also disappointing. For example, our account manager has not responded to support emails for over two months now, and escalations through Houzz Support have done nothing to fix the problem. Houzz further referred us to a "manager's manager," but we never heard from them either. Houzz has recently been focusing on promoting its project management system—a tool that might be helpful for smaller design firms or smaller contractors without an established system - which at the same time are usually companies that can't afford to start with Houzz premium prices. However, as a construction company with complex project needs, we find the Houzz management system to lack in many key areas, such as: System Speed: The interface is painfully slow. Even simple tasks, such as responding to clients, can take over a minute due to too-long loading times in multiple fields. Ease of use: The platform, in trying to handle the needs of the designers, architects, and builders, has turned out very complicated and difficult to navigate. This, of course, would result in slow performance. Due to these problems and headaches, we have chosen to remain with our current systems, as only we know what works the best for our company system and selling, despite Houzz sellers selling the sunset. However, we find ourselves constrained by a 12-month contract that renews automatically without notice or shout-out, if you won't cancel it 1 month before the contract ends - Which you of course miss because you find yourself busy working outside of the Houzz management system. In short, The best Houzz advantage is a great platform for presenting projects, which everyone can do on their platform for free without spending any money. Investing in Houzz Pro, Has not delivered on its promises outside of the free Version. The leads generated are not justified by the sizeable financial investment, and other advertising platforms deliver similar, if not better, results for the same cost.

Pros

The best Houzz advantage is a great platform for presenting projects, which everyone can do on their platform for free without spending any money.

### "EXPLORE OTHER OPTIONS - Disappointing Product"

November 2, 2024

2.0

Terrible experience. We have tried to give this product a chance and sought help from our account rep and houzz's product specialist. No one can provide realistic answers. I mean we have had a different "dedicated account specialist" basically every few months. They just change the person out and don't really tell you anything except here is so and so. So you are continually rebuilding a relationship with your account specialist and re-explaining you frustrations in an effort to get a resolution.

Pros

We were originally sold on the concept of Houzz Pro and what it could suppossedly provide but this excitement for a potential solution for our company turned into disappointment. The service was lackluster, product underperformed, features were promised and never supplied. Basically we were lied to from the beginning.

Cons

At this point in our contract with houzz pro, I would say that we are completely over this product and company. DO NOT USE THEM. They lied to use regarding the extent of the products capabilities and when asked if we could cancel the service due to lack of product capabilities, we were told that it was not possible.

### "I am a Houzz Pro client - and regretting it "

May 30, 2025

1.0

I am a Houzz Pro client. I would really caution against using this platform as a professional. They sell exposure - not projects. Leads might have been decent in the past, when there was an appropriate amount of professionals signed up (relative to a commensurately high amount of demand from potential clients). The quality of the leads today is awful. "Clients" oftentimes do not respond. Those who do are looking for handyman services (I am an architect..). I am embarrassed to share how little traffic my page generates. Every single other service I use outperforms Houzz - by a long shot. Pinterest (a free service) has pushed more people to visit my website in 3 days than Houzz has managed to do in the 6-7 months I have been a client. And then we have customer support. Let's be honest - these are just reconverted salespeople. My last two meetings were painful. There was no attempt at solving any issues communicated. It was a 45min sales pitch - full of promises for next year. My latest interaction is from this week. The photos that I have been trying to select for the "Visual Project Match" have not been uploading - most not even pending a review from Houzz. It has been a week. 10 emails with their support team. Still nothing. This is one of the most basic and essential services that they offer for the price of the subscription. There have been countless other issues - and very little support. If they have the decency to respond to this review, they will probably do so with the same generic message you can find elsewhere. I have 5 months left on my subscription. I had to call twice and write 5 emails to make sure that Houzz would not automatically renew my membership. The fact that they do not have that as a basic function accessible by professionals on their platform is already super suspicious. Reading some of these other reviews, I can tell that it is by design. I have now changed bank, leaving only what I owe Houzz for the remaining 5 months in the account they have on file. I will be cancelling my card the second the payment for the final month is completed. I would urge others to do the same. To be fair, they are good at one thing: selling you something that they do not own. I fell for it, others have and will undoubtedly continue to do so. And I get it. I signed up when business was tough - in the hopes of generating some business. When things are bleak, we fall victim to those who tell us what we want to hear. Statistically speaking, I am sure that this platform works for some. I would be extremely surprised if everyone who signed up was going through the same experience. But having asked around, I would say that approximately 75% of professionals on the platform feel the way I do.

Pros

Not much - the service is appalling. I really regret being encouraged to sign up for a year. For those thinking about it - don't.

Cons

Most of it - the service is appalling. I really regret being encouraged to sign up for a year. For those thinking about it - don't.

### "Great Program given a little time to learn it"

April 15, 2025

4.0

It is a great program. It does take some time to learn so I would suggest carving out a weekend to play with it a lot before trying to navigate in front of clients, but I love how easy it is to ask questions about anything at all from super small questions to big ones.

Pros

I am loving that I can keep everything in one place. I have photos, measurements, notes, idea sketches, proposals, time sheets, financials, products, etc. and all of this for multiple projects at once in one place

Cons

The 3D Room sketcher doesn't have a lot of options for beams in buildings. I have had to makeshift using other things that look like beams and metal columns.

### "Terrible Customer Service and Leadership"

May 27, 2025

2.0

Good at selling the software and terrible at helping train and with issues. It is expensive and not worth the investment. Very disappointed in what could be a really good software.

Pros

Product (software) is just ok and the customer service and leadership is terrible. I am only giving the 2 stars because the software is promising however the leadership and a customer service is absolutely disappointing and terrible. The whole lead generation portion I purchased is 100% a waste of money. Never do it again and I would recommend that you don't either. I had issues with getting my money using their credit card service and again no leadership just a bunch of excuses.

Cons

Terrible customer service. No accountability no supervisors are ever available if you have a concern.

### "Houzz Pro is a great program"

October 16, 2025

4.0

Overall, I like the Houzz pro ease of creating estimates and renderings, I also love that I can collaborate with other subcontractors.

Pros

I like the ease of creating templates for my estimates, I like that I can get paid faster than waiting on checks to clear

Cons

program needs more options for cabinetry, like more sizes, more options to for curved countertops, and my clients/contractors cannot open comments when the open the 3D renderings, that needs improvements. Also, the change order should come with the subscription that I pay for

### "Why Houzz Pro works with/for me! "

September 27, 2025

5.0

10000/10 - I truly love everything about this program. I just recently brought on the idea of bringing another designer into CDG, and I showed her a quick preview of the program, and she was blown away. It took her 5 minutes to realize she has needed this program in her career years ago!

Pros

I love how easy it is to keep all of your information, design work, client files, contracts and MORE all in one spot. Instead of using so many different programs, it's all in one spot. Any time I have ever had an issue, my support team is quick to respond and assist with any questions or needs I have.

Cons

If I have to choose anything, The budget needs a "estimate" first. Putting in the budget I may not know what services will be required, therefore what all would be on the initial estimate until I see/source help and design.
