### "The Lost then Found Christmas Parcel"

We were delighted when that Christmas parcel turned up in Calgary, a month late, but again thanks to \[sensitive content hidden\], it got there! What a great example he is to the staff at Ship Time and all couriers out there about going the extra mile (kilometer) for a client.

Pros

\[sensitive content hidden\] personally helped us trace a lost Christmas parcel caught in the holiday and postal strike rush. Despite Ship Time staff efforts to keep trying, we had just about given up hope when Peter took it upon himself to break through some of the miscommunication barriers and there it was.

Cons

Although all those who answered our calls and emails were very polite, a difficulty was never being able to connect with the same person over the month-long search. Another difficulty was reaching the courier, CanPar, again despite Ship Time's efforts.

really good. Rarely do we have issues and mostly resolved fast with customer service.

Pros

Easy to create shipping labels, tracking and pricing.

Cons

There are certain carriers that will not honor what we have purchased and.... Not a software issue but still an issue since we are purchasing transport and carriers dont honor their service. We have banished some carriers from our possibility.

### "Beware of hidden charges "

Used it twice and neither item was actually delivered to the actual address like paid for. First had to be picked up at a local location. The second parcel never delivered and actually sent back to me.

Pros

Easy to set up prices are good until you get dinged a second time to have your undelivered parcel sent back.

Cons

Tried to ship a parcel from London to my daughter in Ottawa. First delivery attempted, no notice of undelivered & taken back to a holding depot (over an hour bus ride away from her). I called Shiptime to arrange another delivery attempt giving special instructions about the delivery (which were agreed upon by the agent I spoke to) these special instructions were clearly not passed to the driver as a second attempt was unsuccessful for the reasons discussed in the special instructions. The parcel was again taken back to the holder location and within 3 days arrived back to me in London. No correspondence from Shiptime. Then 3 weeks later, a charge to my credit card for the return of the undelivered parcel back to me in London. And when I questioned the charge was told I agreed to this in the small print. Beware of hidden charges and useless customer service. Don’t be fooled by the good prices…..this was the most expensive parcel that never ever got delivered!!!

We moved to Shiptime after a very bad episode with some other companies. I have had no issues - even when there was a problem with the package. Shiptime has been easy to work with and provides some great tools!

Pros

We are super happy with the selection of carriers, the pricing, the ability to track it all, AND the BRANDING page is just so cool! We were so glad to see Canada Post offered in this now. Great add!

Cons

I can't think of something I'd change. Our experience to date has been amazing.

Recommended by one of the carriers. That says a lot to me.

I had an extremely frustrating experience with ShipTime. On May 28, 2025, my brother and I shipped a parcel from Ontario to Halifax. The expected cost was reasonable, but instead I was charged $349.46 — nearly five times the original price — without any warning, proof, or breakdown of why this happened. When I contacted ShipTime, they claimed the carrier applied “adjustment charges” due to incorrect parcel measurements. However: 1.They never provided proof of these supposed discrepancies. 2.I was never given a chance to verify before being charged. 3.They admitted in emails they still had “no update” on my refund request. It’s been over two months of back-and-forth, with slow communication and no transparency. I’ve complied with every request, but my money is still tied up. This experience has destroyed my trust in ShipTime. I strongly recommend other shippers take detailed photos, double-check invoices, and consider other providers if you value clear communication and accurate billing.

Pros

The initial booking process was straightforward, and the shipping quote was competitive before unexpected charges were applied.

Cons

Overcharged nearly 5× the quoted price without proof or explanation, extremely slow communication, and no resolution or refund even after two months of follow-ups.

Since being introduced to Shiptime through CFIB we have consolidated all of our shipping through the Shiptime portal which has significantly reduced costs and allowed us to manage the expense of freight

Cons

The integration with other shippers is coming! Canada Post was recently added but to add Purolator it still seems like a work in progress

Pros

The website is very easy to use you save time and money it gives you great quotes of a bunch of different vendors which you have your choice of and they're all right there for you to see and the prices are much better than even if you did it regular you can easily track your shipments get paid instantly right there and you don't have to go anywhere you can set up your pickups and if a pickup is missed you can easily reschedule with no problem

Cons

It can take a little while if you have to get paid back for a shipment that something happened to that you're that you insured and getting the money back for it can take a little while but other than that that's all I found so far

Overall I'm happy with the pricing and ease of use with it's core features. I think some of your support people could be quite short/rude and ill equipped to really offer the best service possible.

Pros

I like the partnership with CFIB and that there's no subscription model for use of the platform. The "Quote & Ship" feature and rate options/prices are great!

Cons

I don't like that you can't specify pickup time frames for most services. Also, while others may find it convenient to contact support with your every need, I don't. Your team is just middle people for the carriers who can often give a quicker and more accurate response.

Overall, the ShipTime experience has been very positive. It has saved us a lot of money on shipping costs over the last several years. The fact that it is compatible with thermal label printers is a huge plus also. Makes labelling shipments very quick and easy.

Pros

It is easy to use, very user friendly and intuitive. Keeps excellent records of historical shipments. Allows a good variety of carriers to choose from and shop price with.

Cons

I don't like when I get "shipment charges adjusted" emails after the fact. I charge customers based on my initial charges when entering the order. Far too often I get emails stating that charges have been adjusted, and they are always adjusted UP and never down.

I find the Customer Support agents with Shiptime are very helpful and fairly quick to respond to questions/concerns.

Pros

The Dashboard is very easy to navigate and use. We find it very useful to be able to track each shipment without having to leave the Shiptime Website. I also find having unique login information for those on our team who process shipments. Multiple unique users allows us to ensure only those who should have access to shipments do.

Cons

It took some time to find where some additional features are located. For example, setting up the box library. Once I did some searching, I was able to find it.

Has mostly been positive. The exception would be perhaps a lack of ownership on the part of shiptime when there is a problem with an order.

Pros

Works great for getting accurate quotes and with the ability to save clients it is fast and easy.

Cons

The only issue that comes to mind is when scheduling a pickup, I select a time and then after I submit and pay I find out that time is not good and I must reschedule. That process is simple enough but if that time was not good it should have told me before paying.

The overall experience with ShipTime is positive. If it wasn't for the integration issues with the website, I would still be using them on a more frequent basis. If you want to save money with shipping and want an easy to use service - I can honestly recommend them.

Pros

ShipTime is incredibly easy to use. Basically log in, follow the steps, profit. The low cost was an extra added bonus.

Cons

Integrating the API with the website was the only con. At first, it worked wonderfully. Then for some reason, it just stopped working the same day. I couldn't get prompt and helpful answers from customer support and I needed the shipping to be back up on the website promptly. Unfortunately, I ended up integrating a different service.

Pros

Shiptime gives us flexibility with shipping with accurate pricing. One stop place to ship, track, and manage out items that require delivery.

Cons

Only issue is when the carriers cannot deliver because of a error in address; they do not seem to contact us, and we never know until we go searching. I think that is being worked on.

Pros

The freight quote is pretty competitive, some times ever better than I got from the carrier directly. Highly recommended and the customer service is great, dealing with them is easier than with carrier directly.

Cons

So far so good. If I have to pick one thing might be the invoice notification feature. I got the invoice notification but when I log in to my account , there is no outstanding invoice , hope they can stop sending duplicated notification.

I’ve used it for over 3 years and have had excellent service. I only ever had 1 package out of thousands be misplaced but it was quickly located once I called to inquire

I like that I have the option to change the sending address as I have multiple businesses that I send from

Cons

It’s not the least expensive as it boasts. At times some of the competition have better prices. Also some of the fulfillment companies don’t deliver directly and use 3rd parties. This is fine but I was not advised by shiptime, rather my customers

Reason for choosing ShipTime

Through Costco I do not have to call shiptime directly if I have a problem. Costco employees take care of that for me which I like.

Great, makes shipping simple. I don't have to deal with several couriers that have different interfaces. One and done with the ability to compare rates.

Pros

Easy to use, easy to train new users on.

Cons

Lack of communication in regards to issues with shipments. If a package is damaged and the package is not deliverable, I normally have to find out from my customer wondering where their shipment is. I then have to follow up with shiptime to find out this info. I don't think the problem is with shiptime but with the individual courier company.

Program works slick and the rates are great.

Cons

When a courier messes up you seem to have no pull to get the problem fixes. Also you adjust your charges often. Other platforms we have used do not do this. It's an extremely frustrating point. One that make us question staying on with shiptime. If we cannot rely on the quote that is a huge issue.

ShipTime is challenging to work with due to their couriers they have partnered with. They try their best but at the end of the day, it's the couriers that ruin the experience. ShipTime is at their mercy.

I like the order history, address management.

navigating back and forth through screens is cumbersome

Pros

Easy to use, a good selection of carriers, pricing is excellent, and a superb customer service.

Cons

overall it's good. However, may have issues with different browsers and PDF readers.
