Content briefs helps to understand what should be the tone of writing which is useful for audience. Content curation gives a structure to write quality content. Unlimited question research queries helps to understand real user search query so that can be addressed effectively in the writing. Unlimited concept maps helps to know more about the unknown topics quickly. Integrations with other services saves time. FAQ Schema saves times by automatically making FAQ Schema based on the content written. So that we don't have to manually write them for each post. Answer Engine scans the entire website and helps to automatically answer the audience/user query when they search on the website. This is one of the best and useful feature of Frase. The support stuff and the developer are awesome. If there is one thing for which you should buy Frase then that will be its support team and the developer. They really care about the user feedback and responds effectively patching all the shortcomings and helping us to use the tool effectively. Cons Limited of Language to English only(As of today). However, the required keywords feature doest not function. You can not control the length of the text very well. Cons The user interface of Frase.io left much to be desired. It felt less intuitive, buggy, and glitchy, especially when compared to its competitors. I encountered issues with non-responsive buttons, the tool simply ignored required keywords, the AI writer seemed to go off the rails at times ignoring the instructions, and other issues. In one instance, the entire text lacked the letter "r", resulting in numerous misspellings. Despite only being a few days past the free trial period, they declined to issue a refund. I'd recommend exploring other tools that offer a smoother experience. Their customer support seemed indifferent to our feedback, which is disappointing. It's simple and straightforward to use. Usually when I'm learning about a new tool, I have to dig into the documentation to understand how to use it — that was not the case with Frase. I don't think I looked at any knowledge base articles or how to videos yet I immediately grasped how to use it. I run a content writing agency and all my writers now use Frase as part of the outlining/draft creation process. Frase essentially replaces me having to write a brief for my writers — they are empowered to brief themselves! Pros I love that Frase provides an affordable alternative to tools like Clearscope and Content Harmony. Is it 100% on par with these tools? No. Some of the nuance is lost in terms of the exact keywords to include in a new content piece to rank for SEO but the tool acts as a super useful content brief to assist with research and content structure. Cons See my answer for "Pros" but essentially, this tool doesn't yet replace the use of a tool like Ahrefs for identifying relevant long-tail keyword options, complete with data about monthly search volume and keyword difficulty. An integration could be cool even if it doesn't make sense for Frase to focus on this functionality from a proprietary standpoint. I haven't been able to understand how to correctly share a brief with another user who has an account but it's not an issue I'm that worried about as my account allows for the creation of unlimited documents, anyway. In fact, the learning curve is almost nothing. You can be producing high quality copy briefs in minutes. The product does offer other features, but at this stage we are not using them. Brilliant! Pros Easy. Easy. Easy. It's almost everything you need to know about this app. It took (literally) minutes to navigate my way through and be producing excellent copy briefs - stuff that would have taken me 3-4 hours can be completed in 30 minutes. For lower level copy briefs (maybe for T2 or T3 backlinks) the job can be done in under five minutes by professionals who are experienced at producing such briefs. Cons Really, there is nothing not to like about this software. For those responsible for producing copy briefs it is just a killer application. Truthfully, the integration of a solid keyword checking tool might improve the UX a little, but it's very easy to use a web based keyword checker like Keywords Everywhere. If I were the developers of Frase I'd look at maybe exploiting some API's to make that happen. There's really no need for a proprietary tool. I've literally been laying awake at night trying to figure out how I'm going to provide my users with show stopping content on a regular basis. With my blog planning calendar full to the brim of ideas, the time suck of actually getting these articles researched and published has been causing me to come out in hives! Then there is the SEO aspect, which to a small business owner means a huge learning curve, and large amounts of curse learning time. The SEO optimising aspect of Frase has blown me away, and given me the confidence to get out there and create. Pros The dashboard is easy to navigate, and works perfectly, right out of the gate. It has been thoughtfully designed, with ease of use for the user in mind. Once you've decided on your research topic, you enter the split screen editor, which is unbelievable. Research of this nature used to end up with a desk covered in printed material, Ipads and tablets utilised for additional screen space, mountains of notes and scribblings. Frase has put an end to this by providing absolutely everything needed within the split screen editor. A complete gamechanger for my business. In fact Frase adds value to the content you are researching, as the editor gives you the option to ask more questions, leading you down paths that you had not considered. Pros Frase has saved me hours with content research, planning, and optimization updates. I run all my content now through Frase to create article guidelines. After the articles are written, I'll use Frase again for optimization opporutinities for SEO. Cons Frase is still in its early days, so it's not as fully featured with the "nice to haves." The core functionalities and features are all there, but there are things like filtering that it didn't have. The team has been active and fast to provide bug fixes and UI/UX enhancements based on user feedback. Reason for choosing Frase Frase is cheaper, but the core features for my content planning and optimization needs are almost on the same level. I created the base documents for a few new articles. It literally took seconds for the software to produce the information I was looking for. Literally faster than I could possibly do it. And I am really good with Google. I am the person that you called when you can’t find something yourself. I’m very happy with the quality of the research that Frase creates for you. As an experiment, I create a document for a few of the women in my business group. I forwarded them along so that they would have some ideas for both article Creation as well as video creation. They were all quite excited about the results of the receipt. In reality, I created all of this in well under 30 minutes. There is no way without frames that I would’ve been able to have created these documents that quickly. I’m excited to see where this product goes. Pros This is a fantastic product. I don't use it exactly as per the guidelines, but as I train its answers, I can legitimately see it saving me thousands in customer service agents per year. For 60% of answers its already more accurate than my staff, because I get to train it and it tells them exactly what I say every time. If your are on the fence, give it a go, as its definitely a top tier product. Cons The initial scrapes gave somewhat bad answers, but maybe I did it wrong. I later scraped just a few key pages and then it was far easier to train.
