Overall, I find the platform to be perfect for our needs, and the level of customer service of excellent.

Pros

It's intuitive and easy to use, with an excellent contact database and great customer service support.

Cons

In the time I have used the platform, across two different institutions, I haven't encountered anything of significance

My experience has been very positive so far. The platform is easy to use, saves time on distribution, and provides useful insights that help improve PR efforts. Even as a new user, it’s been simple to get started and see value quickly.

Pros

MediaHQ makes press release distribution very straightforward and efficient. I especially like the ability to track performance through detailed stats, which helps inform future releases and improve follow-ups.

Cons

I haven’t identified any major drawbacks so far, as I’ve only recently started using the platform again after a break.

Overall very positive, the breadth and depth of its contact list is very impressive and makes issuing releases easier.

Pros

The media database is constantly kept up to date, and the depth of contacts is impressive. I also like the feed on the dashboard keeping users up to date on ongoing events. The platform is very intuitive and easy to use.

Cons

I'd like to be able to add individual contacts to the recipients of a release, not just my lists but this is a minor point, overall it's very good and user friendly.

Great onboarding and responsive customer service. Lists are updated regularly and the platform is very easy to use.

Overall very happy with the service! Definitely room for improvement on a few technical things (see above) but based on the recent database training I received it seems MediaHQ are actively working on improving the service and ‘story cycle’ and are very receptive to feedback from users.

Pros

The customer support is very fast and helpful, always ready to help on any queries I have no matter how big or small. I also like how varied the media contacts database is and that I have access to international news desks and journos as well as Irish ones. It makes building lists easy.

Cons

The searchability on the media containers database is sometimes poor and glitchy. I.e. I will search a name in the search bar and it won’t show up immediately, but then I search it a different day or via the browser extension on an article the journalist has written and it’ll show up. Also, sometimes the formatting when drafting press releases is tricky especially when I copy over from Microsoft word or other docs. The fonts will appear differently or spacing is slightly off, etc.

Overall good, testament to the fact that we have gone back to engage them each year for the past 10 years.

Pros

MediaHQ makes it easier to connect with journalists and get media releases directly to journalist's inboxes.

Cons

MediaHQ is a very useful tool, but it can be expensive, especially for a small businesses who only use the system at certain times of the year.

Pros

A simple system to use, information at your fingertips, all your media contacts in one place, curated contact lists, and instant results of your releases.

Cons

No cons to report. Media HQ is always working on ways to improve the user's experience, so the system is not a static programme.

MediaHQ is a fantastic tool; it saves you money, time and stress, and is a reliable platform in terms of customer support and GDPR compliance.

Pros

MediaHQ is honestly the answer to all my PR prayers! It's very easy to use, and the setup and onboarding process are incredibly smooth. The platform allows you to create lists of contacts that are regularly updated and tagged, so you can easily reach out to journalists who cover topics related to your field. This is a massive time-saver, especially for smaller teams, as maintaining internal media databases requires a significant amount of work. In addition, their press release creator is very easy to use, helping you format and send releases to the media efficiently. Also, their team is exceptional, and they really care about their & your work, and want you to succeed.

Cons

Nothing major has come up so far. I’ve just run into a couple of small technical issues with hyperlinking text in the press release editor, but it might simply be me getting used to the tool. :)

I find working with MediaHQ straight forward and very simply to use. The service I received during my recent onboarding was excellent and very supportive.

Pros

Great customer support; excellent media data base and easy to use for Irish press release distribution;

Cons

Compared to other media database providers, maybe the dashboard could be displayed in a better way..

Pros

I appreciate the ease of use of the service. It's very much plug and you play and you have everything you need in one place.

Cons

Very comprehensive service but you'll always have one or two contacts you come across that aren't on the service.
