I paid for this system for many years the standard version which is about 20 bucks. I upgraded and used the Pro version sometimes, is 40 bucks. I didnt used it very much may be once or twice a month. Lately i started doing my live transmission whith guests for which you have to invite them via Skype as Ecamm allow that but I got disconnected many times, when you have to use Skype unless you want to pay for Pro. I demanded them fixing the problem and offer me compensation since I lost my audience twice, I had none, \[sensitive content hidden\] was the person attending my case, he asked me a lot of technical detail but no solution. They want me to upgrade to 40 Pro version since they told me Skype wont be available soon anymore. He solved nothing. They are a greedy company!

Pros

I thought it was good but start failing so Im changing to another company.

Cons

Customer Services. They demand information and don't solve the problem and do not compensate for your loses.

Being able to switch from OBS to Ecamm Live was a great choice and has made my Live streaming a joy again but being limited to the Mac only makes production costs and timelines a bit more difficult. Overall tho, working with Ecamm Live is SO much better than OBS.

Pros

Ecamm Live was extremely easy to install, configure, setup and use on the Mac. Since I use it for both personal and business, it was important to be able to Live stream and record VODs for all platforms as well as be the most customizable. Being able to customize each scene into groups based on individual profiles is what I like the most about ecamm live.

Cons

The biggest CON about ecamm live to me is the that it's a Mac only solution. Using OBS was great only in that it was a cross platform solution whereas ecamm will only run on the Mac.

I've never really had an issue since getting the Pro account. It continually updates fixing bugs and with new features - probably a little too often to be honest. There are new features (like the interview option) that I haven't tried yet. It does what I need it to - which is to dress up a Zoom teaching session with all the stuff! Little tip - while using with Zoom I continually have 'share computer sound' in the advanced screenshare settings so that anything played through eCamm comes through the Zoom call.

Pros

Allows me to create a multimedia livestream over zoom and social media. Sound effects, widgets for timers, integrate movies, shared-screen, split screen, mirror & camera switching.

Cons

Not able to stream to multiple platforms at once - that can get frustrating. I wish that I could at the very least stream to instagram and facebook at the same time without requiring an additional software.

I was able to go from a boring talking heads interview to a TV quality broadcast in a matter of days!

Pros

I love pretty much everything about Ecamm, the software, the community, the production, the FB group support, and the quality is amazing, you can truly set up a super high quality production for such a small amount of investment, highly recommend!

Cons

The initial learning curve is challenging, and sometimes you have to dig deep to find out why something isn't working the way you want it to, but mostly that's part of the learning curve again.

I use Ecamm for community live streaming, for creating my own live streaming for YouTube videos, and even for local screen share recording for videos.

Pros

Setting up multiple windows and feeds are among the nicest features of the software. It's very easy to create streams and to live stream and record directly to your computer. It's among the easiest software to learn and to use, and it just works well. No lag, excellent support.

Cons

Screen sharing takes some fiddling with settings to get the size of your monitor right with the size of the feed or stream. But once you get it - you can save the settings and be good for next time.

You can consider Ecamm without second thoughts if you a device that has excellent config especially for streaming but if you want to just use for recording then this can be one of the best ways to do it

Pros

Ecamm was the broadcast studio on my desk with the kind of features it offered for live streaming and recording as well. It was the software that I used to record all my course videos as it was easy to control with shortcuts and more importantly as it supports hardware integrations such as using your phone as camera and elgato control. And the biggest plus I have seen is the Ecamm community and content, the kind of blogs and videos they provide with some live Youtube sessions are of excellent value as it helps you become a better content creator.

Cons

Heavy usage of RAM especially while streaming even on a Macbook Pro with 16 GB RAM was a bit concerning
