It's helped us grow and maintain correct billing and scheduling.

Pros

Material and time tracking across smaller and larger jobs works well. Projects functionality has a lot of potential for those that need it.

Cons

Some aspects of the platform are a work in progress. Everything does work and it's a good solution but there are obvious changes that have to happen. To their credit, BuildOps is very proactive.

From day one of integration I have been nothing but impressed. Our integration team worked closely with our key employees and really nailed our goals. After integration we still had about 2 months of growing pains but the Build Ops team was in contact daily, helping me to work through any issues that came up. Since then we have been running like a well oiled machine.

Pros

Build ops has a very easy to use interface. I can get any information I need about a service ticket in only one or two clicks. It has cut our time to bill down by more than half and customer satisfaction has been way up.

Cons

I would like to see more robust Service Channel and Quickbooks Online integrations in the future. The current implementations are sufficient but there is much room for improvement.

Overall our experience has been ok. Our previous software did not have some of the features and we had to use multiple softwares. Having everything in one place was the goal, however we are yet to achieve that with Build ops. We were told some of the solutions to our issues will be coming in the near future.

Pros

Project management and purchasing are the most effective uses of this software. Easy to track purchase orders/ material costs and labor costs for a project.Daily reports are fantastic as well

Some items/tasks are difficult to complete on mobile, ex schedulingScheduling could be better/more customizable for long term projects, color coordinating crews etcSome integrations with accounting software need updating, particularly for non US customers

Their customer service and training is next level. Having been on the program for 2 years now and still I get instant responses to my questions or concerns

Pros

It’s a one program to manage all aspects of your business. I can dispatch technicians, manage customers and job, bill, receive payments all in one place.

Cons

The setup is lengthy but that’s normal when moving your company onto a new platform.

Overall, we are happy with this program. This was our third software program we tried. As with any software system there will be problems and challenges. BuildOps has a great tech support group in place. We can call, email, or text and get a very quick response. We can text a video or screenshot of a problem and get immediate help.

Pros

Makes it easy to follow service calls from dispatch, repairs, and billing. Creating PO's helps with accounting for parts costs and making sure we are billing for everything purchased. Technical support is wonderful.

Cons

There are issues with the preventative maintenance side of it. They are constantly making updates.

We have been very happy with BuildOps. We truly feel like this has been a partnership in business for us. Its easy to see profitability on a per service call basis. Any issues that have come up have been addressed promptly. Customer service has been second to none. We're very happy with our choice, they have completely filled our need for bringing a paperless solution to our service calls.

Pros

We really love the UI. It is so simple and clean but has all the power we could want. It breaks down profitability well and provides great reporting.

Cons

So far we've been happy with all aspects of the software

Both products felt like they could meet our needs however BuildOps gave us a more personal feel and we really loved that their focus was on commercial service. We truly felt like BuildOps understood our business needs.

Overall I have no regrets with Build Ops, and we are finally at a place where we are starting to utilize a lot of their features to move to a more streamlined workflow.

Pros

I like the filtering options to find data in the system.

Cons

I struggle with billable materials/items being connected to an sales/expense account instead of the WO department driving it to the right financial place. It makes things messy for item list set up.

Very overwhelmed at first. The more we used it and worked with our implementation manager (who was amazing by the way), the easier it became. The service team was very good at putting us at ease and walking us through tasks where we needed guidance.

Pros

The dispatch screen is very nice, can see all operatives in real time. Status is a nice feature to see who is doing what. Data base, the building and maintaining so far has been a breeze.

Cons

Property name. We find it difficult to specify a "property" outside of using its address to identify it. We have multiple "commercial buildings" and multiple "processing plants" that we service.

We very happy with our BuildOps experience, from implementation through our first year they have been very hands-on and trying to help us form our processes and in turn help them grow their software to suit us and other customers. We would definitely recommend BuildOps.

Pros

We loved the simple and intuitive user interface buildops offers. Also loved the scheduling and dispatch tools. Our techs picked up the app extremely well. Love that Buildops is constantly improving the software.

Cons

Invoicing needs some work, but they are improving that. Quoting and Servicing Agreements could also use some help, but like I said they seem to be working on improving all those functions.

Pros

I love that everything is easy to find and I can track everything in one place. We are a small but busy department within a larger company and we have a lot more service agreements than tour other departments. With build Ops we are able to keep all our documentation, photos, reports and, other important information on one system. NO MORE MESSY PAPER PILES or LOST HOURS!!!! Everyone we have worked with from Build Ops is very knowligable about Build Ops and they are always eager to help.

Cons

At first when we started using build ops I found it hard to remember the steps that were needed to add jobs etc. and service agreements but I had a great team to help me figure out what steps I need to complete what I was working on. If for some reason I am unable to get a hold of one of our Build Ops team members I can always look back on our sessions and find the recordings about specific topics that we had went over and relearn the steps by myself. They provide you with more than enough resources if you need help or are stuck trying to figure out how to do something.

Pros

Ability to have more than one technician or helper on a work order.

Cons

Billing customers and allowing them to pay online as opposed to calling the office for assistance. We are 75% commercial, and that 25% residential can sometimes be a problem, but they (BO) is working on fixing this.

Over all, very happy with Buildops. Cutsomer Service - it's easy to use, our field staff likes using the tool and finds it simple.

Pros

I like that if there is an issue, it is corrected almost immediately. The customer service goes above and beyond. We like that they are always open to suggestions and implementing ideas that work

Cons

the drag and drop function will be helpful in more then the invoicing screen. Uploading documents is challanging. Would like to be able to integrate Microsoft 365 apps.

Buildops has literally transformed our business in so many ways it is really mind boggling. I didn’t even realize that their was this much opportunity out there. Our company had 5 separate softwares and switching over to Buildops has brought it all under a single roof and dramatically increased efficiency and output. Our folks out in the field and in the back office can share information seamlessly which eliminates the biggest challenge of a service business like ours. Our service to our customers is infinitely better than before because we all the information right at our fingertips and customers get instant info on services performed with real time notifications. The offline multiple phone and video upload is a massive time saver and our techs love using the app. Being built on current tech, this company is the future. The quotes piece is world class and they even have OCR built in so technicians can take a photo and it automatically populates make, model and serial number into the app. Techs love it, our customers love it, and the team is incredibly helpful 24/7.

Pros

The best part is its super easy to use and so well thought out that it takes most of our folks just a few hours before they get comfortable with the basics. Its powerful under the hood but easy to navigate. We have gone paperless and having everything talk to the each other has reduced our admin burden enormously. Our revenues are up with the photos/videos and quotes that make the entire process seamless.

Cons

We haven’t had any negative experiences with this software. It’s a real godsend.

Buildops was the new kid on the block and was really helpful with implantation there support staff once your signed up didn't just bail and look for the next client. They also were really focused on the contractor and customer experience in their product.

### "It took a lot to get where we are"

After our initial launch, we've been very satisfied with the work BuildOps has done to create a better, stronger relationship. They created an entire relaunch for our company, really gave us a lot of their time to make us feel like we were apart of their family. We love that the \[sensitive content hidden\] and top executives are the ones who help solve problems and make themselves known.

Pros

As a company, we really like that everything was together. I have everything about the jobs that makes it easier to communicate to the customer and technicians.

Cons

We had an awful time with implementations. We didn't have a great relationship with our initial support person. We struggled getting our voices heard and struggled getting the customization done. It was an awful first impression for the money we spent.

We heard great reviews from other companies. We did our research within the market, asked a lot of questions and made sure it was a good fit for our business. We are a small, family owned business so we needed to make sure this was best for us in many aspects.

Pros

BuildOps support is very hands-on and personable. I would describe them as top in their class as they genuinely want to make our lives as customers easier. The software is always getting updated and our support team is always there to show us what's changed and how it can benefit us.They frequently ask what we're looking for in the future and what our pain points are from a feature enhancement perspective.We went from a full paper only organization to a mostly-paperless system. It was a drastic change and the BuildOps team helped it happen smoothly from start to finish.

Cons

The service agreement module is a little cumbersome and takes some getting used to. It can be difficult to navigate and track down specific information. Entering service agreement information into the system can be time consuming when you have thousands of agreements.

Pros

BuildOps is great for the Technicians and the Office alike. It is a very straightforward and easy to use software system from the desktop website to the App. They also have fantastic customer service that listens to your business needs and are willing to work with you to get exactly what you want/need!

Cons

The ability for technicians to search for jobs and to be able to pull up assets on the App is something that we have been working closely with BuildOps to improve as this would make it easier for our technicians to know the history of a specific job.

I feel that understanding what we do on the end user (accounting / billing )side was not explored fully prior to go live. Also, getting all user groups on board with the flow of information is vital to the success of this system.

BuildOps from the beginning was extremely helpful in helping us evaluate and think about how we would handle those processes. Once we launched it was amazing to see how helpful it was for everyone in our office to have instant access to the information.

Pros

Even though we have only been using BuildOps a relatively short period of time, it has already significantly improved our workflows and access to information on our jobs and projects. The improved workflow has helped our profit margins and been a huge help in being able to assist our clients more effectively.

Cons

It is difficult to access vendor information and for very large quotes BuildOps is more cumbersome.

This is literally my fourth time around with some type of field service platform and I almost gave up. I just didn't think that it existed. I am beyond satisfied with BuildOps. Its easy and and most important, it is clear. The actual implementation was painless and I loved working with the team. having spent time in the trenches and having contractors on the team made all the difference. They knew the business inside and out and that made the software so much more intuitive. Other software providers just don't have the Contractor experience on the table. The weekly view and ability to schedule months out is revolutionary for us. Regular updates and amazing updates keep things moving in exactly the right direction. If you want well structured software, do yourself a favor, and take a hard look at BuildOps.

Pros

Super simple and easy to navigate around. The buttons and color scheme make it hard to mess up- even for non tech guys like the guys I have in the field and office. Schedule and planning in advance are huge. The Dispatch board is hands down the best dispatch board around. Compare their dispatch board to any other software and you will see its light years ahead of the game with the multiple techs and expanded view. The recurring services is massive and OCR is truly new age tech. My techs love the notes and asset history info on every job and the ability to see everything about every job and its past history with the click of a button. the time tracking functionality is the best native experience for an integrated time tracking solution I have seen out there and the photo video ability to do 10 of them or more at a time and still keep moving on the jobs blows every one else out of the water. Just a really seamless suite of amazing features that all make things so much easier and more importantly make us more profitable.

Cons

The team is second to none and I am happy with everything that they have communicated and delivered.

They are way ahead of any other software available. If you are a sub and do service work, put these guys at the top of the top of your list. The customer service is unreal, you will love the BuildOps team.
