### "No regrets - Great product "

May 18, 2023

5.0

GREAT Implimentaion and learning of new software is always going to be stressful, but in my opionion this experience did not have me overwhelmed, everything was explained, no question was too stupid (and I asked alot of questions), and not affraid to say if they don't know the answer.....but they will find it for you I wouldn't say it was a fun experience, but we had some fun during the process. The team at BuildOps come with knowledge and great personalities. The follow up and support is great.

Pros

The intergration between the mobile/technicians and the Office/web has provided us with the ability to monitor job status & invoice in a more timely manner with less time/material errors. Dispatching is easy and is instantanious to the tech. Ability to add job notes and forms, customer notes & property notes is very helpful. Great Customer service - advising of updates, support for issues with timely response, willingness to take customer/user ideas for future enhancements and making continuous improvements to the system. The efficiency of the program (over the last one used) probably save the hiring of a person in the office.

Cons

Overall theres nothing major on the dislike list, there are a few places that still need tweaking Defaulting tax, vendor section could be better (but is functional), better admin access to certain functions and template designs would be a plus Implimentation had a few problems the biggest one to overcome was we were set to switch just as covid shut down the world, so we went from having on site to remote set up. BuildOps manged to get it all set up, train the staff via zoom and lots of calls and we were up and running within the timelines provided. We did experience a few issues with the accounting because of the previous software but BuildOps worked with us and found the right people to help with the situation

Reason for choosing BuildOps

Management reviewed many options, when it was narrowed down to a couple I was included in the final review. BuildOps integration with mobile, comprehensive dispatch board, customer set up and invoicing sold me. Management and accounting liked the intergration with Quick Books ( used prior to switch to Jonas)

### "In my opinion..."

February 22, 2024

5.0

Pros

I love how responsive they are to assisting us with anything we throw at them. They are always willing to provide additional support and training to new team members or team members who have forgotten how to do things (i.e. myself all the time). They are very communicative about system servicing, updates, and anything else that could impact utilization or destructions so you can plan according.

Cons

I don't have much to say here other than I wish our company utilized the system more so I wouldn't have to work with multiple systems.

Pros

In the competitive world of commercial construction, efficiency and organization are not just desired but essential for success. As a project manager in a thriving commercial contracting firm, I've always sought solutions to streamline our field service operations, but finding a tool that met our complex and ever-evolving needs was a challenge. That is, until we discovered BuildOps. BuildOps has been nothing short of a revelation for our firm, transforming our field service management from a patchwork of disconnected systems to a unified, cloud-based powerhouse. The software's intuitive interface, comprehensive suite of features, and seamless integration with our existing workflows have empowered us to manage our projects, teams, and resources with unparalleled efficiency and effectiveness. One of the most significant benefits of BuildOps is its ability to centralize all project-related information into a single, easily accessible platform. From project bids and contracts to daily logs and change orders, everything is stored in one place, eliminating the need for scattered spreadsheets and endless email chains. This has not only saved us countless hours of searching for documents but has also ensured that everyone on the team is always working from the most up-to-date information. If you're looking for a way to elevate your commercial contracting business to new heights, BuildOps is the solution you've been searching for. ### "Great product that has completely digitized our office and streamlined our business"

December 20, 2023

5.0

Very positive. Especially the customer service! Any issue I have is responded to immediately and I am communicated too during the entire process so I know the BuildOps team is working diligently to fix it.

Pros

Filters. I love being able to narrow my searches until I am looking at just what I want. For example, My bosses wanted to see if there were any jobs that got approved but where never assigned to a job or otherwise acted on. The idea being maybe a customer said "yes please do this work" and it just fell through the cracks. With 10 different filters I was able to narrow down all the quotes we have in our system to just a handful that met the requirements and from there it was easy to find out the story behind each one and whether it needed to be followed up on or cancelled. Big time saver and made me look like a genius.

Cons

As a dispatcher, from the dispatch board I should be able to manually manipulate the job boxes even after the tech starts the job. The way I think the logic should work is this: Tech has their day populated by the dispatcher with 3 jobs A B C. Maybe he gets to all three or maybe he only gets to the first two or maybe job D comes in as an emergency and takes priority over jobs B and C. If I initially booked job A as a four hour job but he did it in three hours I want to be able to make that jobs box three hours on my dispatch board. It looks clunky and doesn't tell you good information at a glance if the job box size stays to what you originally dispatched it as. With plumbing 9 out of 10 jobs we have NO idea how long the tech will take. He might have an all day job that he gets dispatched too and it turns out one of the tenants that needs to provide acccess for a leak investigation up and forgot we were coming and went to work. So now this job is cancelled and needs to be rescheduled and instead of being an all day job the tech was only traveling/working form like 8-9:45am... I should be able to snap the job box back to 9:45am when right now it stays stuck at 4pm. When I used to dispatch, there was the time the technician recorded, the time I as the dispatcher recorded, and upon reviewing those two times the boss then bills the customer. Usually they are in sync but every so often there could be a disparity in which case maybe the boss needs to ask why the tech put 2 hours and the dispatcher says its an hour and a half. I have strong feelings as a dispatcher that at the end of the day I want my board to look exactly like how I think it should be with each job box fit into the time that I think it should be. 90% of the time it will match closely with what my tech put as well. And that other 10% well then we can see, maybe they forgot to start working at the right time or maybe they misread the clock ect...

Job change. I prefer BuildOps to service titan. I felt like Service Titan tried to automate too much and got me in trouble because I would tentatively put a job on a tech because that is plan 1 of 3 and next thing you know that person is getting a text or email saying we are on the way. Its like NO I haven't confirmed that yet, I was just trying to lay out the jobs! \[sensitive content hidden\] was terrible from day 1 and I prefer not to think about it ever.

### "BuildOps Continues to Impress!"

November 28, 2023

4.0

Transitioning to BuildOps was the best decision for our company. They take the time to get to know their customers. We are paying for a product but it is more than that. They have built relationships with our staff and continue to improve the functionality.

Pros

Hands down, the BuildOps support team; from our account manager to the IT support team. They are always quick to respond and we are always made to feel we are the most important person. Our previous software company took days to respond if at all, and when suggestions were made, we were simply told no. BuildOps has listened to us and our wants/needs and we have seen those implemented by them.

Cons

BuildOps is more expensive than our previous software by 75%

### "RC Maintenance Holdings Review of BuildOPs"

June 22, 2023

4.0

Pros

Easy to use for office staff and field staff. One place to communicate for all needs of services. Very easy to learn for everyone and BuildOps staff is very helpful. BuildOps is very accommodating to our business and concerns to operate smoothly. Efficiently is a major improvement with BuildOps.

Cons

I believe depending on the field of business, BuildOps will always need improvements to accommodate each business needs. All businesses to not operate the same, there will always be request to change or add features. Unfortunately, our type of business is always a request to add. I cannot say there is something least likely of the software, as all our request have been answered or is in progress to create it better.

### "BuildOps offers great features to help managet Techs and projects"

July 17, 2023

5.0

Overall, BuildOps seems very adaptable to our needs. Tech Support is readily available to assist with issues that mostly turn out to be user error. BuildOps allows us to make suggestions to their Development Team. These suggestions can make what we consider improvements or new features to the system to allow us to operate the software more efficiently.

Pros

BuildOps allows us to see the status of the Field Techs live and at a glance. We can better manage our staff as it is not difficult to see total hours worked in a week by individual. Quoting is very customizable and adaptive to our needs.

Cons

There are some issues that we, as new users of the system, need to work out and those can be challenging. But those issues are more due to our Company's learning curve than a problem with Build Ops

Reason for choosing BuildOps

Ease of use and ability of customization.

### "BuildOps Takes over the HVAC Dept."

March 19, 2024

5.0

Buildops is helping us with organization , standards and with saving ALOT of trees. I would recommend this to others because even those who aren't that computer savy can easily be taught. They have made it very user friendly and are there in a heartbeat if you do need help or suggestions. With people being wired so differently this allows everyone to be on the same page and if used properly be very successful.

Pros

From the Beginning , Middle and Now they have the best and fastest customer service. Training and implementation with Colleen made what seemed impossible very possible and was a pleasure to work with. We have been able to set up and standardize the way the Technicians prepare and submit there reports. Being able to easily find everything and see every detail makes monitoring service calls a breeze. We still have a lot of tools to utilize and the Success manger \[sensitive content hidden\] assists us with all questions concerns and ideas almost immediately.

Cons

The implementation Process an be time consuming depending on how many people are working on it from you own team. There is a lot of data to transfer over if you are not starting from scratch, but they do provide help with all of this.

### "Commercial HVAC Review"

July 25, 2023

4.0

Overall a great system that has improved our company's recordkeeping accuracy and helped our business take on additional customers with ease. The issues we have are typically minor and can be worked around or ignored when necessary. The BuildOps team is always open to suggestions and does work to put them onto future software releases when enough of their customers are interested. BuildOps is the best commercial-focused software on the market.

Pros

BuildOps has been great for improving our workflows, recordkeeping, and reporting. Fairly easy for technicians to learn the mobile app and it has greatly improved communication between technicians and the office. It has also reduced our lag time between job completion and customer invoicing.

Cons

Some areas of functionality where users with full permissions cannot edit basic things can be frustrating. For example, the inability to delete a job that's been created in error and the only option available is to cancel the job and leave it in the system. Same inability to delete a visit, a PO, an invoice, or a quote. Most other issues are fairly minor, like sorting a list of Assets (i.e. RTUs on a property) will not sort them numerically or there being limits on the invoice layout options.

### "Great Choice for our Business"

March 25, 2024

4.0

Overall, our experience has been positive. There are certainly things we learned along the way that we wish we did differently during implementation but overall we are happy with our purchase and feel we made the right decision for our business moving forward. The customer support team is incredible and very responsive when we have issues or questions. They are constantly making updates and improvements to their product based on the requests of their users which is what you want to see in a software that is the heart of your business. We see BuildOps as a partnership and are excited for our future with them.

Pros

We liked that BuildOps still has a week view on their dispatch board, not just a daily view. This is helpful when projecting out work and building a tech's schedule. The technician's mobile app clearly had a lot of time and research put into it and it shows...it is intuitive to use and clean. The one-click invoicing has been an incredible time saver for the billing team and was an immediate improvement we saw. Overall, we also were drawn to BuildOps' customer focused model and the attitudes of their team members. Every member of the BuildOps team was knowledgable about their product and ready and willing to answer any questions and take as many meetings as needed to make sure we were making the right decision and throughout the implementation process. The built in quoting module has made getting quotes out to customers and tracking outstanding quotes so much simpler.

Cons

The dispatch board while good still has a bit to go to be great, if you choose to release calls individually there is only one way to do that when there are so many other actions that we are given 2-3 ways to accomplish them. We also wish we could arrange the names on the dispatch board ourselves instead of being locked into alphabetically. Editing an already active service agreement is also kinda clunky and requires some repetitive data entry and could be improved.

Reason for choosing BuildOps

BuildOps was the only product to offer a week-view of the dispatch board and felt like the best fit for our company. Their corporate values closely align with our own and you could tell how much they focus on product support and development. We also chose BuildOps because they prioritize their updates based on user feedback.

### "BuildOps"

June 7, 2023

5.0

Overall, I like the product. The support is great.

Pros

The people. Everyone is extremely responsive. We actually meet and discuss the product, likes and dislikes and how to improve it. The support is second to none.

Cons

In general, some changes could be approached differently. To specify, deleting a function, page or feature is never my preference. I would rather see additions without removals. The specific problem occurs when you effect customer workflows. Time is money. As a specific example Followups was a very good feature. I really dislike using the visits view for managing. It is slower. It also leaves opportunity to miss billings.Another issue I have seen is that there is not a provision in the BuildOps structure for a "Hot Fix". This is relevant for dealing with very minor issues efficiently. As an example, an improperly sizing popup window does not need to go back through engineering as the base code is not changing; only a parameter value. This fix can and should be done more efficiently.

I could not be happier with my decision to enter a partnership with Buildops. They have exceeded our expectation with streamline design, integration with our previous software and Quickbooks and most of all the customer support is prompt and professional. I highly recommend Buildops because they are consistently innovating with the newest technology. Their Platform has allowed our company to streamline and become more efficient with our processes. They are always open for the client to give suggestions on how to make their product better. Their overall product is top-notch, but more over, they understand and care about their clients needs!

Pros

User friendly modules, especially the dispatching and the mobile app for Techs. The job/service module is well structured with the ability to have everything at your fingertips without having close out or go into a different module.

Cons

The pricebook currently does not have a search feature and reporting feature which would be beneficial when updating pricing.

### "BuildOps makes worklife so much better!"

May 9, 2023

4.0

From the start of learning BuildOps our team was trained in person and over the phone for weeks/months after. The training is wonderful. When ever we needed help trainers took time to show us step by step how to work the system or if there were any issues they were just a phone call away.

Pros

BuildOps is a very easy product to use. I like being able to pull reports when needed for budgets. The quote to job to visits has a nice flow. The system allows us to go back in forth within each very easily. Time management to each job is great. At any time we can pull a job to see which crew members and how much time was spent on that job. Job costing is very clear as well.

Cons

I want to be able to change the colors to indicate different types or jobs/workorders. Same with the drop down from the jobs tab. It would be easier to see looking for certain types of jobs/workorders.

### "Ease of usage and very responsive support team."

November 28, 2023

I've been using BuildOps mainly to consolidate our field reports and it was easy to do. The step by step guides are easy to follow. You can easily get a hang f working around the system itself. There are also channels where you can get information you need like their support centers, email updates and the communities.

Pros

It is very easy to use, straightforward and there almost 0 lag when it comes to task processing. Also I like their support center - the techs are very responsive and helpful.

Cons

Maybe the issues reported from Mobile App users. Have not experienced it yet but with my experience I can't think of any cons at the moment.

### "Build-Ops Impressed me from the beginning, then it failed miserably."

May 11, 2023

4.0

Full Disclosure: After posting this review, Build-ops contacted me. There is a new management team and they apologized for our experience and immediately refunded the original deposit from May 2022. Overall I was very disappointed after spending 4 months searching for the "right" software then another 4 weeks trying to implement build-ops. Ultimately we walked away and never went live with the software. The constant need for workarounds of their software when I was "sold" on the idea of CUSTOMIZATION. This software was designed for a very specific industry and a very specific client and I would guess that company did not purchase it and the developer is marketing it as a customizable service software solution. Maybe there are companies that are fine with very expensive non customizable software. But when your quote template look like it came from a high school business class and the customer CANNOT modify it, what are we actually paying for? There are no custom forms, its a single column list of text, checkboxes etcc..So you would think after expressing all this the implementation manager would get some help.. no, they let him squirm and struggle.. I'm glad we walked away,

Pros

The software with everything including a high price tag!? Build op certainly is powerful enough to propel a 5 person company to a 500 person company with ease. Boatloads of configurable options, custom forms and reports with scheduling options to directly convert results to a work order. The software lets you use a global search box, has equipment/asset tracking and OCR which may or may not work for you. The heart of this software is the customer "service agreement" portal, setting up recurring services, tracking estimates, PO's and work orders, utilizing the "price book" and handling renewal associated with the agreement

Cons

Customer facility/site cannot be renamed without losing their history. Quote template is NOT customizable. Reporting is fancy pie charts and bar graphs with useless information. Has no real data, like how many customer have not performed a service in the last 12 months??The mobile app is so limited in its functionality, unless you like a one and done type jobs. Even an admin user has about 5 options for usage. Scheduling jobs isis cumbersome with many steps that cannot be undone if accidently categorized. The software REQUIRES a technician is assigned to anything that goes on the schedule. I have customers that schedule their services for the entire year, So in January I need to assign a tech to a job 12 months away. This makes no sense. Now you can create a job and mark it to be completed without assigning a tech, but it will never show on the calendar, it shows in a "job box" with all the other 500 things I need to do every day. The quote template CANNOT be customized. The software does not utilize a global quote template, however it can be copied/cloned and renamed with the new customer. So every quote you make needs to be made from scratch. Forms are generic and cannot be modified. During implementation we had to use constant workarounds to get the software to function.

Reason for choosing BuildOps

I looked at over a dozen service software solutions, I cant even put them all into the above box. The sales team really pushed the idea of flexibility and customization but the reality is not even hardly. This software has a place somewhere and for some companies but certainly not ours. Do your homework, choose wisely, and if it feels like a chore, move on and find another product.

Response from BuildOps

May 17, 2023

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We value our customers, past & present, and work hard to continually improve the customer experience. We appreciate the opportunity to make things right by refunding your deposit and updating the product features mentioned in your review. Bottom line, we apologize for the frustration during the implementation process. Customization was a crucial aspect for you and we fell short of your expectations. Your feedback regarding the quote template and forms has been flagged, and we will absolutely improve both features. We hear you when it comes to reporting, mobile app, and job scheduling. We're happy to report that many of these requests have been addressed in our weekly feature releases and it won't stop there. ### "Implementing from Start to Finish"

July 27, 2023

4.0

In the almost a year we have been using BuildOps we have seen the time savings continually improve. When we first started using it we were constantly upset with things it didn't do or wishing we went with another software, but we are glad we stuck with it. BuildOps has added so many features and improvements. The customer service and support staff are amazing. When we were getting it implemented we had someone meet with us 2-3 times a week to help get it set up and then moved to once a week. Constantly being in touch with a representative has helped me feel listened to and understood. My concerns we listened to and then more surprisingly they were addressed and fixed. BuildOps has made leaps and Bounds this last year and i am exited to see what lies ahead.

Pros

The time savings are felt daily. From receiving bills to creating invoices BuildOps has been a force multiplier. BP Mechanical was facing explosive growth and BuildOps has helped us to manage the growth masterfully. The more we implement and integrate BuildOps into all of our operations the more time we save. BuildOps is constantly rolling out new features and enhancements to make it even more useful. When we encounter bugs or issues BO Support is quick to respond and resolve the issue.

Cons

Most of the infrastructure is tailored to service and maintnace. As a Primarily Commercial Construction Company some of the features available to the service side are not usable for project management.

### "Feedback from the Field"

April 7, 2023

4.0

Overall, our experience has been good with BuildOps. There will always be room for improvement, but it has been my experience that BuildOps is open to feedback and is constantly pursuing ways to do things differently and better, which is important to us.

Pros

First off, I would like to thank the BuildOps Team for developing a powerful platform for us to build our business upon. There have been great improvements over the past year, and I appreciate all of the time and effort the team has put into these continuous improvement efforts. The Dispatch Board is what I like most about BuildOps. It is the equivalent of my MS Outlook Calendar, as I am in it all day, every day, and it is what I use to prioritize what needs be done daily and weekly.

Cons

While there have been some good developments on the reporting side of BuildOps, it is imperative that the reporting functionality is improved. BuildOps is our primary platform, and where all of the information we need to understand our business and make strategic decision resides. Therefore, we need to have quick, easy to access, and most importantly accurate reports. Unfortunately, that isn't the case, yet.I would also like to see some improvements on the invoicing of Service Agreements. Ideally, the workflow for invoicing recurring billing would be the same as all other service invoicing. This would be very beneficial for us.Also, as a smaller company, our management team performs several different roles. As such, we are often out on-the-road, and with customers. So, it would be nice if BuildOps Mobile allowed our leaders to see visit summaries from the app, so we would have instant access to the information, to more efficiently and effectively keep our customers updated, without having to pull out our computers.

### "User friendly/great work flow for commercial contractors"

June 8, 2023

5.0

I was hesitant first as BuildOps is a newer software out there, so I tried a different software first, did not work for us. It was residential based and workflows seemed more difficult than current work flows. I revisited BuildOps, made the move, and have never looked back. Customer service/support/continued improvements and features are awesome. They listen and are continuing to prioritize and add features. The project side is a new feature since we started and WIP reporting is made that much easier.

Pros

The most impactful features of BuildOps, ease of use. Workflow works for us. Utilizing different job views based on status. Job costing feature to invoicing a plus. Work order/job report separate from invoice. Ability to toggle on/off what is needed on job report. The WIP reporting for projects, amazing, plus for me! Reporting from customer to location down to asset. Customized reporting.

Cons

There is no perfect software out there, but this software comes close to meeting most of our needs based on the pain points prior to. There will be a glitch from time to time where the Tech needs to make sure they have the newest version of the app or may have to install/reinstall app. Limitations on totally customizing your invoice look. However, with that said, none of these are deal breakers. And with a few limitations here and there, they are continuing to refine and add improvements.

Reason for choosing BuildOps

All software will have one or two features that are unique to them. We reviewed our largest pain point prior, which was a work order outside of our operations software. We needed to streamline and have a work order/job report feature that was separate from invoicing. That was the seller. The job costing feature all in one to invoicing, also a plus. We were in enough pain, we made the move, and it was the best decision.

### "BuildOps Partnership"

December 20, 2023

5.0

My overall experience with the platform and employees at BuildOps has been a game changer for our company. As our volume of work has increased, we have not had to increase manpower. After implementation, we were actually able to decrease the amount of administrative staff on site thanks to the increase in efficiencies and with the work volume increasing, we have been able to maintain the reduced workforce as a cost savings to the bottom line.

Pros

To us, the best part of BuildOps is the fluidity of information across the entire platform. Information can be entered and will update immediately to our field techs who access the platform using iPads. This ensures the information provided is the most up to date and accurate. The Job Reporting feature ensures we are able to accurately bill out jobs within 24 hours of completing the job.

Cons

The enhancement that I am looking forward to most is the Purchase Requisition feature inside the purchasing module. This will help our purchasing department to ensure everything is ordered on a tech's order sheet. The current process we are using is time consuming and leaves the option for errors in data entry. Very much looking forward to this enhancement so our purchasing department can be streamlined the way BuildOps has solved issues throughout other aspects of the company.

Reason for choosing BuildOps

It was the best fit for us and there were aspects that were able to be customized to work best for our situation.

### "Best Customer Service!"

December 30, 2023

4.0

The Customer Service.... I cannot say enough about Customer Service with BuildOps. \[sensitive content hidden\] has been fantastic from the beginning, to \[sensitive content hidden\] , everyone that we have encountered have been great to work with. We weren't sold a product that was absolutely perfect. We were sold a product that we are excited to grow with.

Pros

The support that BuildOps provides is best in class. I cannot say that about any other company that we have partnered with. Someone is always there in a very timely manner.

Cons

We run into glitches quite often, which are typically fixed quickly with follow up on progress along the way. There are quite a few features we are still hoping will be added through collaboration with multiple teams throughout BuildOps. Since starting with BuildOps, many useful features have been added. I'm always excited to see what is next!

Reason for choosing BuildOps

Honesty. BuildOps was very honest and sold us on growing with the Company and contributing to building a product that will work for our company and many others in the trades.

### "One Year Down"

March 28, 2024

5.0

Overall, we've been very happy with Build Ops. It helped us locate some holes in our processes and has made for better communication between our internal staff and also the customers.

Pros

Having used Build Ops going on my second year now, I will say that there are a lot of features I really like. It's very handy for the technicians to be able to get their own PO numbers most of all. It is also nice to have a history of all the work that has been done broken down by equipment. I also have enjoyed getting to use the AI feature to put more information on the invoices we send out. It saves me a ton of time in writing up the report.

Cons

I don't have any real issues with Build Ops that wouldn't exist with any similar service. Of course, it is frustrating when the server is down or when a common command suddenly goes buggy, but that would happen with any software we were using in this capacity.

Reason for choosing BuildOps

It was a good combination of features we were looking for and a competitive price.

### "Easy to Use & Tech Support responds quickly!!"

April 29, 2024

5.0

I am pleased with the program and how easy it has been to use.

Pros

I like the ease of use because I was able to train myself on how to use the program with the Learning Center tutorials.

Cons

I would prefer more tutorials based on specific questions, example: I can not use the Preventative Maintenance tracker because we do use Buildops for payroll, how can I use this without putting in payroll information.
