The company was doing everything right 4 years ago. Since then, it has clearly pivoted in the completely wrong direction and has started to produce a very poor quality product.

Pros

Jira is a straight-forward product for product planning. It originally ticked off all the features I could possibly want for agile methodology development flows. Users can be managed via third party integrations, and boards are easy to design

Cons

The company has leaned heavily into AI without first polishing existing features. There is a lot of core functionality missing, and a lot of it feels very low quality, yet the main thing they are producing are AI chatbots to provide poor quality summaries of tickets.

Jira is bit pricey , but the value for money you get for tracking projects and teams is worth it. Customer support is helpful , though sometimes responses take a little patience. It can feel complex at first , but once you get the hang of it , task management becomes smooth. Collaborating on the projects and keeping everyone on the same page is seamless with boards and dashboards. Creating the visual workflows or diagrams is a breeze , making team planning and progress super clear.

Cons

Jira can feel overwhelming at first with so many menus and options . Setting up workflows or boards takes time, especially if you are not tech savvy. Occasionally , small changes require multiple clicks , which can slow things down.

Pros

Jira allowed us to easily collaborate on projects across development, design, and delivery. Jira allowed us to create tasks and manage the state of those tasks easily. Jira made it easy to create tasks, assign them to team members, and track their progress as work was done.

Cons

The major drawback from Jira is that it can be a little too powerful if you're looking for something simple. It can be a little overwhelming as well to see all of the available options.

Pros

I love the UX of software that is easy to understand from a technical person to even a but leas technical people like project managers or product owners etc.

Cons

The hierarchy of Jira is sometimes hard to understand like if there is user story and under that there are multiple cards ans so on. Sometimes if we try to complete a sprint its hard to tack down which one child task is not complete.

Overall experience is good, especially when we are using JIRA for the whole team. It is very easy to use and it allows us to check our colleague cases as well. We can do team work and project collaboration very easily with JIRA, and the notifications to the e-mail box are coming very fast, so we are aware when a change is done.

Pros

JIRA is a great software, very useful in the day to day working life. It is able to provide a good track of our records and customer complains, and it is a very good monitoring tool for all our cases. I have used several / different software for this job, and I can certify that JIRA is the best tool (even if it is more expensive compared with the competition). The customers are also very happy with our reaction time and the way we are treating the cases with JIRA (writing text, sending attachements and pictures, highlighting text etc.)... it is kind of the best customer support tool that we used so far.

Cons

Even if JIRA is a great product, it is not perfect. There are some things that I do not like. One of them is the response time, which quite often is slow, and after I click one menu it take 5 seconds to load the page. Other issue is the refresh rate: sometimes I update cases but on the main page they are not updated. Also, if I refresh the page, I receive the old status first and only after 5-10 seconds it gets updated to the latest status. The search function is not the best, as sometimes is missing some results that I am actually looking for.

Overall, it is good. I do try to spend as little time in Jira as possible, as I want to get work done, but the admin side is as important.

Pros

I think the best feature is the JQL searching. When I learned how to use this, I was able to find very old Jiras by filtering on who might have been the assignee and possible text inside of it. This has saved me so much time finding old Jiras to understand design choices

Cons

Lots of fields don't get populated when cloning a Jira. Sometimes I want to clone a Jira, and have everything the same except for the name and description. Some fields need to be populated manually, which is fine every once in a while, but when you are doing a lot of Jira admin, it gets very tedious

Being able to support customers is our main focus, and JIRA helps us do that very efficiently. It's easy to use, and its quite cheap. Gerat value for the money.

Cons

It is very complex - there are a lot of bells and whistles and switches to toggle. You need to play around for a bit to get used to it.

### "Best tool for managing bugs and tasks across the entire team"

Jira has been a core part of our QA workflow for managing test cases, bugs, and sprint tasks. Once you get past the initial setup and learning phase it becomes very easy to use daily. Task management is solid for assigning tickets, setting priorities, and tracking progress works really well. Value for money is decent for mid to large teams but can feel expensive for smaller teams. Overall it is one of the most reliable project collaboration tools available, just needs some time to get fully comfortable with.

Pros

The best part is how well it handles project and task management. As a QA engineer, creating bug reports, linking them to stories, and tracking their status all in one place is really helpful. The Scrum and Kanban boards give a clear picture of what's in progress and what's pending. Integration with tools like Confluence and Bitbucket makes team collaboration smooth and everything stays connected.

Cons

The learning curve is steep for new users and the interface feels overwhelming at first with too many options and settings. Performance slows down when there are too many tickets and filters on the board. Diagram creation is very limited natively and you need third party plugins for anything visual which adds to the cost. Customer support mostly redirects you to documentation which isn't always helpful for specific issues.

My overall experience with Jira has been good because i was able to receive some training before i started using it.

Pros

What i like most about Jira is that it connect all departments of an organization together in complaint resolution.

Cons

What i dont like is that it cant not be used remotely or without internet .The interphase is not also user friendly.

My experience with Jira has been exceptional since there is no single day at work I can miss to use it. It is my go-to solution for PPM.

Pros

I have used a lot of PPM tools, but Jira is the most powerful that I have ever come across. It facilitates a wide array of features including; task management, collaboration, instant messaging, project collaboration and internal communications.

Cons

I do not have anything to complain about Jira because it was easy to implement, customize features and use without involving third-party service providers.

### "Great Tool for Project Management"

Overall it's been great, it has allowed me to have a seamless workflow with a large multinational team. I use it with clients, and it's one of the best project management tools I've used. My favorite feature is the kanban board, best way to keep everything visually organized.

Pros

It's a great tool for keeping track of projects and collaborate with teams remotely. For project management, the possibility of customization allows for a tailored experience that best suits the entire team. It allows me to keep my own workflow organized while clearly communicating with the client the project status by just updating the necessary fields.

Cons

It can be a bit hard to use at first, it has a somewhat steep learning curve, and as someone who isn't the admin, a lot of the fields are redundant or irrelevant to me, but they can create a bit of visual clutter. It doesn't make it impossible to use, but it has its challenges.
