We are very happy with AlohaABA so far. The integrations are nice for clinical documentation and it just has made seeing clients a lot easier than it would be manually.

Pros

Aloha is clearly built for BCBA's and people running ABA companies. It feels like they've thought of everything I could possibly need or run into.

Cons

I would love an app, but that isn't the biggest deal. Their browser based software scales well on all devices.

Our overall experience has been great with Aloha. We are happy we made the switch to this platform and look forward to seeing what more they are doing!

Pros

Aloha is very thorough and offers a lot of features. The team offers video support to help with billing and scheduling questions, which is very beneficial when starting to use any technology that is unfamiliar to the user. We love that you can see both client and staff schedules while overlapping the view if needed. This is great for planning out schedules and even scheduling supervision. Also, the claims process has run smoothly and we can see everything in one place!

Cons

The view for scheduling isn't as user-friendly and you cannot see a monthly view for the schedule. However, Aloha has been quick to respond to this and work with their development team to make this view more user friendly. No software is going to be perfect and all you can ask for is that you have a team like Aloha that is willing to take user feedback and apply it.

100% positive from the demo, onboarding to day to day use. I was able to schedule a follow up call to get additional help after I began to heavily use the system with managing receivables/co-payments. Staff love it! I feel empowered running my business with the ability to see snapshots of billables from my dashboards as well as adding a level of accountability with ensuring that my BCBAs managing their overall billables.

Pros

I loved the ease of set up. My onboarding did not take that long. My onboarding specialist made time for me and did not rush me when I had questions.

Cons

I don't have any Cons directly related to use of the system. I do think some of the help documentation may be worth of a revisit for updates, but overall -- great product.

Reason for choosing AlohaABA

Demo and initial onboarding were great. But once I went live, I felt like I was thrown in the water without a life jacket. That's a terrible feeling to have since I was the one who made the decision to switch. Migration of my data from Accupoint was one of my reasons for selecting them initially.

It’s been great so far and I’m really excited to use it more. I’m hoping that Aloha makes my life easier with billing.

Pros

Billing features and scheduling multiple people and being able to see everyone’s schedules at the same time.

Cons

It’s a learning curve but that’s to be expected with any new system that you’re setting up. It seems like it’s a lot but I’m sure becoming familiar will help with the work flow.

Having just completed our training and onboarding process, we can say with confidence that we feel we selected the best EMR product for our program. Throughout this experience, our customer success manager remained highly engaged, sharing her vast knowledgebase of Aloha ABA while also remaining responsive to questions posed both during live sessions and via email. We are pleased with the automatic syncing between Aloha ABA and the data collection system we chose to integrate. Additionally, we have found the array of reports that can be generated extremely helpful, and they have already increased our efficiency. We look forward to becoming more proficient in all that the system offers.

Pros

The system is highly intuitive, and the icons are incredibly helpful! Aloha has streamlined its system to make finding needed information easy without requiring significant training or experience in EMR navigation.

Cons

We are using the forms manager to create notes for related services sessions. Our Speech and OT staff often need to save their notes before finishing them at a later time, and the process to go back to these notes is a bit cumbersome.

Our experience was great. We had help at every stage, and the way the onboarding was laid out helped us understand the system in a manner that made sense and was easy to train the rest of our staff.

Pros

Ease of setup and use. Very user-friendly and its integration with HiRasmus greatly reduces our billing process activities.

Cons

There is no unique client identifier available in the client view which makes it more difficult when processing credit card payments.

We left another ABA software that we had been using for over ten years. Best decision we ever made. The Aloha team is always there to work with us on getting the most out of their product. They work along side with my staff helping us work smarter not harder, just as if they were part of our company. Their customer service is outstanding!

Pros

Aloha is very user friendly, training staff to use the new software was an easy process. The Aloha staff was there supporting during the entire process and continue to be available and work with us on getting the most out of their product.

Cons

Aloha continues to update their product and add new features hard to say there is anything I like least about the software as they are always improving.

Pros

It is easy to use, and has a convenient dashboard for a holistic view of your practice, with important reminders, appointments not yet billed and snapshots of performance/activity. Above all though, is the customer service experience I have received- it is unparalleled from beginning to end. The training provided by \[sensitive content hidden\] is detailed and thorough, and she meticulously answers the questions asked. I also love that I can reach out anytime and for the first several months met with her weekly. I gained so much and it took the anxiety of managing the back-end billing, myself, to a much more manageable level.\[sensitive content hidden\] is so professional and supportive- she teaches you to accomplish those items on your own. The AlohaABA product is well worth its fee. Thank you \[sensitive content hidden\] for your perspective on what high-quality customer service yields- loyalty, support and a product that shines.

Cons

The utilization feature is a bit finicky i.e it would be good if it showed you remaining units in an easier way.The location drop down doesn't always populate the addresses for the appt you added, so sometimes, I have to manually enter these, even though I just did on the clinical appt.

The implementation process has been outstanding because I have a standing appointment with one customer success lead who shows me exactly how to do what I need to do, just when I need to do it, at each stage of my company's development. The customer success lead is very responsive and written and spoken communication are excellent.

Pros

The product is visually appealing, super user friendly, and doesn't complicate processes with redundancies like many of their competitors' platforms do.

Cons

I wish it had (a) tools for accepting online payments, (b) tools for culture building such as pulse checks, employee or customer surveys, customer relationship management tools, and employee relationship management.

Reason for choosing AlohaABA

I was looking for something I could afford in startup mode, something that was model and clean and user friendly, and I didn't want to use electronic behavior data collection. AlohaABA gives me only the tools I need.

Have tried a few other platforms and we feel most supported with with Aloha has to offer. It’s clear they care about the providers they support and services we offer.

Pros

Customer support and genuine care. They are always improving to make things more efficient for providers. Minor issues that have come up have been resolved quickly. Suggestions for features offered are taken seriously!

Cons

Few features could use updates/improvements to increase productivity but this is made up for in client care. Aloha listens!

Pros

Entering appointments is easy. Tracking RBT supervision is also relatively easy. Adding client profiles and finding information is easy once you figure out the navigation

Billing reports can look slightly skewed when looking at calendars, as it reports based on actual time rather than billable units

She was always on time to every meeting and emailed us back to answer any questions we had, even on holidays. I am a very ADHD human being and I cannot believe I got as far as I did with onboarding with Aloha. I could not have done it without \[sensitive content hidden\] support.

Easy to use Provides everything a BCBA/ABA company could possibly need

Cons

I can't think of anything I don't like besides I wish there was an app maybe just to view the schedule, but I also understand with everything Aloha provides, how that could be impossible
