Pros

Accessibility and common sense language for Private Lenders - easy to pickup and use. I've been able to integrate with everything ever since the Origination and Servicing API were launched - makes my life simpler.

Cons

Servicing can be complex to get used to. That said, I imagine its difficult for almost any system. I also wish there was more of an ability to set your defaults for things that never change (i.e. fees).

Pros

Mortgage Automator has completely revolutionized how we operate. The level of automation, customization, and end-to-end integration is unmatched. From origination to servicing, the platform is intuitive and robust. The document generation tools, borrower portals, and CRM functionality have dramatically improved our efficiency and accuracy. Most importantly, their customer support is phenomenal – fast, knowledgeable, and eager to help.

Cons

There’s a learning curve during the initial implementation, especially if you're migrating from a patchwork of systems. Customization is powerful but requires thoughtful planning and time upfront. However, once configured, the payoff is massive. Take the time to learn the system.

Very easy to use and efficient for loan origination and servicing and creating new reports was very easy.

Pros

The loan ledger in MA gives us a better breakdown of the outstanding balance in each account, whereas our legacy system only provided one lump sum outstanding balance that included interest and fees. Additionally, the process to enter new purchases, top up an existing position, process redemptions and process/pay dividends is all a very simple process through MA. Reporting through the fund dashboard is very efficient as well.

Needs to be integrated with an accounting system.

The overall experience has been positive as the system has many good features, is continuously being updated with new features and is user friendly.

Pros

Mortgage Automator is an end-to-end solution for mortgage underwriting, issuing commitment letters, ongoing administration to discharge. The system is continuously updated with new features. Many of the features are customizable such as the ability to add custom fields and documents. The system has built in reports and a Report Builder feature which is very useful in helping to manage the portfolio. The system is used on a daily basis with mortgage applications downloaded directly into the system. The system is well suited for our business model. From a cost benefit perspective Mortgage Automator is a great value proposition.

Cons

Online user documentation does not have enough depth and instruction in terms of how to use the various features of the system. Support is generally good however can be lacking in responses. Returning to ongoing webinars would be very useful. Custom documents can be created however the feature is not user friendly.

We now have the ability to procude loan documents at a speed that would have been unbelievable a few years ago. All our documents and deal flow are seamless from receipt of an application to funding and beyond.

I can't think of anything negative to say about Mortgage Automator. They keep refining it every month.

Mortgage Automator has evolved over the years to grow with my company. We switched to Mortgage Automator to use the document generation and payment features, now we also use it for report building, automated communications with external clients, (SMS and Email) fund accounting, submission ingestion and internal to-do lists as files progress through the lifecycle.

Cons

Some of our suggestions take weeks or months to be implemented into new versions of the system.

We switched about 5 year ago when our current provider, The Mortgage Office, out of the blue, claimed we breached their "terms of service". at the time, we only had 4 or 5 employees. they claimed that we were in breach of their terms of service and we had to upgrade to a 20 person license immediately or we would lose access to all our data... (again, we only had <5 employees) but we because of some technical glitch, and our staff was accessing the server remotely, they extorted us, and made us pay $10K USD just to keep access to our data. this was what caused us to look at other options. in the end, silver lining to a horrible, stressful experience because we were an early adopter to Mortgage Automator.

### "My New Best Friend"

I was nervous about switching from The Mortgage Office to the Mortgage Automator. Once I went through the intense training, I knew I made the right choice. The customer service team answers my questions/problems within a day at most.

Pros

They're constantly improving the software, listening to their clients, and modifying regularly.

Cons

That I didn't find it sooner, I went through a lot of stuff with my old servicing company. So far, there's nothing I would put as a "con."

The system seemed so simple; the layout of the screens (not cluttered) and the loan flow were all laid out very logically. The pricing was very competitive and you got a lot of bang for your buck. The salesperson was super knowledgeable with out being pushy.

Not a 10/10 experience but 11/10. Mortgage Automator has saved us so much time. Also the team members and the customer service has been phenomenal. Their staff is always ready to help and I am very happy with Mortgage Automator all in all. And just the amount of time the program saves us is worth every penny in itself.

Pros

The loan origination and servicing. The program is truly an all in one mortgage management system from managing investors to loans and borrowers, this system really does it all. I could not be more happy with this program. Even though it costs a couple of grand a month, it saves us thousands by not requiring more physical staff. And the best part is, they keep improving the system and adding more features.

Cons

The only part I dislike about this software is that I didn't get it earlier.

The guys are amazing to work with! Quick service, friendly, and always willing to lend a hand to help!

Pros

I love love LOVE this program. It has made my tracking headache free and comes with every option I need. The best part? Every time I think of a new option I might need, the developers at MA are somehow ALREADY ON IT! Can you say innovative? Would recommend to anyone who runs a MIC/ Private Mortgage company

Cons

The only downfall I can see is the price. However that being said, we feel it is worth every penny. It does come in higher than other software however it takes the headache away from funding deals, issuing documents, and keeping track of funds!

Pros

The platform's customizability coupled with the user friendly interface has been a game changer for our loan process from initial submission all the way through post closing. We are able to set up the platform with ease in order to match our internal workflows and review processes. Everything is centralized which eliminates us from having to enter the same information multiple times. This has cut down on our closing timelines while reducing input errors. MA is also constantly looking to integrate with 3rd part service providers such as doc drawing platforms and insurance providers to continuously streamline the closing process. Docs and forms can be customized with in the platform as well to be quickly generated. Checks and balances are easily set up with in the platform as well which allows processors to process, underwriters to underwrite and managers to manage their sales team. The icing on the cake for my company has to do with their help line. I have yet to have a request not be resolved within in 24 hours. Pretty remarkable if you ask me.

Cons

The cons for us have to do with some of the customizing of forms. The CA DRE has specific forms we need for each closing and they can be a pain. It can take longer than expected on our end which gets frustrating. With that being said, their service department is readily available and if we have an issue, they are on it right away.

Reason for choosing Mortgage Automator

Their automated and customizable features coupled with the easy functionality of the platform pushed us over the edge. They answered all of our technical questions quickly for us and they were the only ones that said, "actually, we do not have that feature in our platform but we can add it for you at no additional cost." There was no bait and switch with them from day 1. The owner's exact words were, "We know we have things to improve on and that is the beauty of our platform and our team, we will constantly be improving our platform to give you more confidence in your closing process." No platform is perfect and their willingness to say that on Day 1 added credibility in my book.

Overall UI and servicing of the application is excellent and very intuitive

Cons

The biggest issue is the investor capital management. There's no output or dashboard that I can see how much an investor has with us as Capital held by an investor in Escrow is not accounted for. Also, once the rules based comm package is available I think the software will be that much better

Mortgage Automator has changed our company for the better. Our processes continued to be streamlined as more features and automation are added to the software. As a team we are thrilled by the amount of new features and progress that the software has provided us. When we decided to commit to Mortgage Automator a year ago, we knew that there would be some frustrations along the way as the software developed and new features would be added over time, but we can confidently say we have no regrets making the commitment and sticking with MA through those challenges! As we continue to use the software and identify gaps or errors, the Mortgage Automator team addresses our concerns and escalates issues to developers or simply fixes the problem by a quick look of the issue on their end. Overall, Mortgage Automator continues to provide excellent customer service and continues to save us time and effort as the software can be adjusted to fit our needs.

Pros

We started using Mortgage Automator after reviewing several other loan management systems and decided that Mortgage Automator was the best long-run choice.. At the time, there were a number of missing features, but we took the leap and trusted that the team and system would deliver in the future. The leadership team at Mortgage Automator has definitely kept their promises! Over the past several months they have released features that have been crucial to our business. It is fast, easy to use, and reliable. A short list of the things we love: • The Kanban tile view for our in progress loans • Ability to accept fee payments via credit card • Customization specific to our company • Customization of documents created in the system • The communications module which allows us to set up rules and templates that can be triggered to send emails and/or text messages • Auto-draft monthly payments, outstanding fees and charges via NACHA file • Suggest a feature board • The support team responsiveness! They do a great job answering questions and solving problems via chat feature or email

Cons

There are a lot of new features released or changes being made to improve the software, sometimes it is hard to keep up and learn how the new features change or affect our current loans. The knowledge based articles are helpful, but our hope is that there will be demonstration videos and best practices shared so that we can continue to use the software to it's fullest extent.

We are able to operate and administrate from multiple cities and countries without issues. This is a game-changer for our team.

Pros

Our team implemented the software over the course of a month and we had a very successful experience. The team at MA was always supportive and responsive on our questions and issues. The software is a wholistic approach to Mortgage Portfolio management and administration and saves a ridiculous amount of staff time. A big reason that the software is excellent is that it is developed by individuals that ARE private lenders and fully understand our business and related challenges.

Cons

From a senior manager's point of view, there could be more reporting features and options to analyze the fund.

Pros

The Automator Team provided a thorough onboarding/training process. Once the documents and condition templates were set up, Automator makes preparing loan commitments efficient. Customizing the dashboard to organize file progress based on our workflow. Generating lawyer instructions within the email communication saves a lot of time when the template pulls necessary info from the loan file. Automator seems to be proactive with continuous development, any issues we ran into were addressed within a reasonable amount of time (the chat support is so handy), and there is a feature request board.

Cons

Creating our own documents wasn't as straightforward as I expected, to format properly had to work through coding. With that said, the Automator team is available to create custom documents.

Pros

The Mortgage Automator system can be tailored quite easily to your company needs. We found that we saved time and provided better accuracy on items like discharge statements and instructions to solicitor. Implementation was quick and easy. Multi-user and remote access is great. Customer support is strong and timely/responsive as well.

Cons

Mortgage Automator has launched a lot of features since our implementation which I understand all are pointed to meet client needs/requests, however, more detailed training or written documentation would help the end user better understand how to use and take advantage of. Also, more detailed reporting functionality to provide better insight into our mortgage portfolio data points would be beneficial. Investor statements could also be improved via end user design capabilities.

Pricing, ease of implementation, contract could be cancelled with 30 days notice, allowed us to demo system for a few weeks, had features & benefits for both our mortgage and investor clients.

Pros

The software is easy to use and integrates well with our current practices. Regular updates to the software increases functionality. Also, like the ability to customize certain features for our use.

Cons

Initially, there were some issues relating to certain functions that were not available for our specific needs, however, with a call in to the MA team, they were more than willing to help solve the problem and work with us to figure out exactly what we needed.

It's functionality serves our purpose 100% and when at times it doesn't the Automator Team is very open and quick to make sure it stays at 100%. Customization is always welcome and we have never been denied of a need. Must say that \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] is nothing but great when it comes to support.

Pros

The software is VERY user friendly and the ability to customize to our needs is seemless

Cons

There has been nothing to dislike about the software. I have no negative comments/experience thus far

Reason for choosing Mortgage Automator

Other considerations were just that. Considered. Once we learned of what Automator can do and was going to be able to do, there was no reason to look elsewhere. Support is key and that was evident from the very beginning.
