### "Loom review"

March 27, 2026

4.0

My experience with Loom has been very positive. It’s a simple tool that saves time, improves clarity, and makes async communication feel more natural—especially for explaining bugs, product flows, or status updates. While organization and light editing could be smoother, it’s still one of the most effective tools I’ve used for quick, clear communication.

Pros

It lets me explain something without needing to schedule time with someone. It’s great for walkthroughs, quick demos, and giving feedback because the message lands with context—people can see exactly what I’m referring to. I also like that it’s easy to share and revisit later, so the same recording can help multiple people without repeating myself.

Cons

One downside is that recordings can get scattered over time unless there’s a consistent way to organize them, so finding “that one video” later can take effort. Also, editing is helpful but still a bit time-consuming if you want a really polished outcome—sometimes it’s easier to re-record than to fine-tune a longer clip.

### "Thanks, Loom!"

November 27, 2025

5.0

I haven't had any issues, and find it very helpful in my role as an educator. I've used it since 2020, and when covid caused so much of my work to be online it was a great asset to my work!

Pros

As an University adjunct instructor teaching online courses, I find Loom so helpful in conveying information to my students so easy. And allows for some of the "intricacies" of certain procedures (such as graphing or completing certain forms and procedures) to be demonstrated outside of our limited synchronous time together each week. I've also been able to edit some parts of a video, when student inquiries led me to realize some additional clarity was needed - without having to re-do the whole thing. I can edit right inside Loom. I'm also able to put videos in folders, so they can be organized by the course I teach. Though I can also share links to share from all folders with different groups. It's definitely a great value for the money it costs! I can set the links to different permissions, allowing for some confidentiality and secure sharing.

Cons

I haven't found much to be a problem with Loom. I use it for the basics, and it can do so much more than I use it for. But it's easy and pretty intuitive!

### "Nicer than Teams"

September 23, 2025

5.0

Overall I must say that I really like Loom. Is convenient, is well integrated with Chrome and very simple to use. It also has a quick explanation tool for users when Loom is introducing new features, making the UX pleasant. The audio works very well, and when I had to create video presentation, I was very happy that I could even edit the speed of the audio.

Pros

Loom is very simple to use. You can access it on the fly from your screen and start to quickly do a recording. I like the design features it has.

Cons

I've used loom for video presentations several times and a couple of times for a teams presentation. In both cases, resolution of the avatar window is not the best; specially when using a background, my image flickers weirdly like if there was an aura.

### "Simple to use, but needs improvement"

September 30, 2025

3.0

My overall experience with Loom has been mixed. On one hand, I appreciate how easy it is to get started and share content, but the technical issues make it unreliable at times. I rated it 3/5 because while it’s useful, I can’t always trust it to work smoothly.

Pros

What I liked most about Loom is how simple and intuitive it is to use. The interface is clean, and recording or sharing videos is really straightforward, which makes it accessible even for people who are not very tech-savvy.

Cons

The biggest downside is the frequent bugs. Unfortunately, my camera feed sometimes disappears, recordings occasionally fail to save, and the app can get stuck in an infinite loop. These issues are especially frustrating when I need to capture something quickly. I’ve reset my Chrome settings multiple times, but the problems keep coming back and my colleagues experience the same issues.

### "A great async work tool"

July 8, 2025

5.0

I've saved countless hours of meetings thanks to Loom! I feel like Loom is an essential part of modern remote work culture.

Pros

Loom is a fantastic asynchronous work tool. I like the interface, the AI-powered features, the easy sharing and editing options, and the embedding in email, Docs and various other tools.

Cons

I feel like Loom is a bit aggressive when it comes to pushing its premium features. Those growth hacks, or whatever you call them, are visible everywhere and often interfere with the interface.

### "Great for a free tool"

November 13, 2025

4.0

Overall, Loom has been a very useful tool for quick communication and explaining complex ideas visually. It saves time by reducing unnecessary meetings and helps keep remote teams connected. While it’s not meant for high-end video editing, it excels at what it’s designed for—fast, clear, and personal communication through short videos. I’d definitely recommend it for teams that collaborate remotely or want to improve internal communication efficiency.

Pros

Loom makes it incredibly easy to record and share videos in seconds. The ability to capture both your screen and webcam is great for tutorials, walkthroughs, or quick updates. It’s intuitive, lightweight, and perfect for asynchronous communication—no need to schedule a meeting. I also like how easily it integrates with tools like Slack, Gmail, and Google Workspace, and how simple it is to share a video link with just one click.

Cons

The free plan is pretty limited, with short video length caps and restricted storage. Editing options are also basic, so it’s not ideal if you need polished, professional video production. Occasionally, the app can glitch with audio or camera feeds, and since everything is stored in the cloud, privacy settings require attention when sharing sensitive content.

### "A better way to check-in with team members"

November 12, 2025

4.0

I have enjoyed using Loom to see my employees respond to my prompts and check in with others in a more engaging way. This is way better than email responses.

Pros

Being able to video record answers is an amazing feature and concept. I love using this to confirm meeting recordings and get simple updates from others outside of my time zone.

Cons

There's not a lot of ability to edit the recordings as this feature is basic only. This also requires a strong internet connection to make sure it uploads correctly.

### "The Perfect Recording Software!"

March 31, 2025

5.0

My experience with Loom has been really positive. t’s a very a easy-to-use and convenient tool for me. The ability to download videos directly to my phone through the app is a huge plus! I would say this software is user-friendly, efficient, and perfect for anyone who wants to create content without a steep learning curve.

Pros

Perfect for Recording YouTube Videos – I use Loom to record my YouTube videos (as they are usually screen captures). I must say that this software provides high-quality screen recordings! Easy Video Downloads on Mobile – The Loom app makes it incredibly easy to download my videos straight to my phone. This is a game-changer when I need to quickly edit content on the go. Generous Free Plan – Loom gives me access to 25 free videos, each up to 5 minutes long. This is great for short tutorials or quick explanations.

Cons

Limited Editing Features – Loom's built-in editing tools are pretty basic. I often have to use another editing app to trim, add effects, or enhance my videos.

### "Something simpler for sharing quick feedback or demos."

August 3, 2025

5.0

Loom reduced the meetings I have. Instead of taking 15 minutes for a live explanation, I send a 2-minute video.

Pros

I use Loom to make brief walkthroughs or describe designs without scheduling a call. Ideal for when schedules don’t intersect.

Cons

The editing features are relatively basic When I feel like, trimming or customized more finely. Need some improvement in features.

### "User friendly and a great resource !"

December 2, 2025

5.0

I like the editing features loom offers and it is very user friendly. The free version gives a good preview and worth the purchase if you plan to use and create a lot of content.

Pros

Great product that is easy to use. Very user friendly and makes sharing files and information a breeze. I also like the editing features

Cons

The free version offers a chance to create 5 minute videos which is great and a nice preview of the content you can create but also hard to fit enough information at times.

### "Loom is great... wish it had video playlists"

March 4, 2025

4.0

Loom is a great product. The only reason why I keep it four stars is because of the inability to create playlists If you aren't using this sort of video Communication in today's day and age you are missing out. Loom is great. Highly recommended

Pros

Easy UI, I like the AI summaries it's the text below the thumbnail when pasted. Editing is good and easy. Especially when they launch the keyword editing tool like Descript Customer service is good.

Cons

That you cannot include a playlist of videos... like hippo and Dubb. It would be amazing to have the feature video as a brief introduction and then supporting video content underneath. I have been Loom user for at least 4 years now.... It used to be called opentest.com .... I was one of the first 50 users. I have been requesting this feature since day one

### "A screen recording game-changer!"

October 4, 2025

5.0

It is a brilliant way to record your screen in multiple formats. You can screen record with your camera on, off, and with multiple screens.

Pros

I love that it’s FREE to use as a base model. This program saved me during the pandemic and I needed to screen record for my e-learning modules. Since then I use it all the time for demonstrating digital processes.

Cons

I love that it is so publicly accessible. I think that it’s rare these days to have low cost or free programs that do such heavy lifting in one’s workflow.

### "Best tool for remote work"

May 27, 2025

5.0

Ten out of ten! My team knows I love Loom and will often answer a question via Slack with a Loom instead of text

Pros

So easy to use and help create everything from tutorial videos and SOP instructions to share what's happening on your screen with someone who is not in the same office

Cons

I wish you had the same features on the desktop app as you do on the Chrome extension. Particularly the blur feature.

Loom is an excellent asynchronous communication tool. It's an easy way to record and share quick video messages, saving time on meetings and emails.

Pros

The pros of Loom are clear: it saves time by replacing meetings with quick, shareable video messages, improving communication and productivity effortlessly.

Cons

I didn't dislike anything about Loom so far, although I am still using it so maybe something will come up along the way.

My overall experience with Loom has been positive.

Pros

What I like most about Loom is its ability to share recorded videos quickly, as it allows users to share them simply by providing a link.

Cons

### "Sharing video is easier than booking a meeting"

August 23, 2025

3.0

Pros

It allows us to have a more comfortable and faster process during the job interview process by sharing a video instead of a meeting.

Cons

Not using backround effects in only camera mode causes me great difficulty. I need to use Window sharing mode or take a photo without blurring the background.

### "Loom review"

September 25, 2025

5.0

In my opinion, this is the easiest screen recording software to use. You can use either the extension or the app, edit before exporting, and there’s a free version that lets you make up to 25 videos.

Pros

I can record just a specific window or your whole screen. It also lets me edit right on the site to cut out pauses before downloading

Cons

The free version doesn’t let use it for very long. The shortcoming is that I could only record 5-minute videos.

### "Ditch the meeting, record a video!"

June 12, 2025

5.0

Overall a great experience! I've used Loom to create and share out walkthroughs of designs and prototypes. This provides a clear picture to stakeholders and others and saves us time in meetings.

Pros

It's so awesome for recording and sharing quick videos. These videos often take the place of meetings so they're big time savers. I like how there's an extension on the browser and even a widget on my computer.

Cons

The free plan is pretty limited. Otherwise it's a super awesome tool to record and share out videos and prototypes. I'd add more time or users to the free plan to make it more worthwhile.

### "Very Disappointed – Paid $180 and No Support at all!!!!!!"

November 6, 2025

1.0

We paid $180 for a monthly Loom service in May 2025, expecting it to help equip and support our team. Unfortunately, the service hasn’t been working properly since day one, and despite emailing their support three times, we’ve received no response at all. We had planned to use Loom as a key tool for our organization, but the lack of customer support has made that impossible. At this point, we either need the issue resolved immediately or a full refund. This review is our last resort to get their attention, as it’s unacceptable to pay for a service and be completely ignored.

No Support!

### "Useful for Sales Demos and Tutorials working as a Account Executive"

May 14, 2025

5.0

I have used loom to record sales demos and tutorials for my customers, it is also very useful if you need to send videos on sales activities like emails where a customer can click and see a video you recorded few mins ago.

Pros

Loom has a neat user friendly app, I was able to record demos and tutorials for my customers, using this tool for emails is great as it makes it easy to integrate for sales activities. I was also able to keep track of all videos I had recorded to review.

Cons

If loom was able to provide me analytics to my video based on total watch time, where customers interacted more and tools for editing like capcut it would be a more complete tool.

### "Nice product, but disappointing customer support"

November 19, 2025

1.0

Loom worked well for my needs, but my experience was soured by the lack of customer-friendly support and strict renewal rules. Disappointed by how a great product can be overshadowed by poor policy.

Pros

Easy to use, intuitive interface, and quick screen recording setup. I used it for almost 4 years and yet...

Cons

Rigid refund policy and zero flexibility on renewals, even for loyal customers. I tried to talk with customer support but...

### "Recording screens get Loom"

November 20, 2025

Really like the platform, they just make it easy & have not been replicated by another app that I know of yet.

Pros

That it can record your screen and share it easily. Works with Mac & Windows which is not always the case. It just works.

Cons

They stopped their integration with Trainual when they switched owners that has been super annoying.

### "Fantastic tool that saves a lot of time in my role"

September 26, 2025

5.0

Pros

Loom is fantastic, it saves me and my team so much time that would otherwise have been spent in meetings. It is easy to use, simple to control exactly how much of your screen you want to record, and allows for basic editing to fine tune what you want to share. I regularly have to walk people through how to use certain tools in my team, and I love that I can simply record one Loom video and share it with people over and over again, instead of having to book walkthrough meetings repeatedly.

Cons

The AI powered titles and summaries can be quite far off the reality sometimes, but that's a fairly new feature which I'm sure will improve with time. I do find that the record button sometimes has a bug and needs to be clicked multiple times before the record options actually pop up.

### "Assez facile à utiliser"

September 18, 2025

4.0

Pros
