When adding the POS inventory, even if I changed the sort options, after saving the item, it brings me back to page one, in a different sort order.  If there was an ability to save, and then go to the next item the same way I can make a change to a single unit and then click to the next item, or if I'm on page 10, it would bring me back to page 10 after saving, that would be a huge time saver!“

### "Automate your campground"

Pros

I depend daily on the online bookings, the rate management, and photos of each site. I love that customers can automate their billing - I never see their credit card number, which builds trust.I manage 100% of this from remote. My manager has her own account with limited access and she can do much of the work from a tablet at her house. It's a great tool.

Cons

Managing my rates is very complex. If you want different rates per site type, with discounts based on the number of days they stay, then it gets to be a challenge to set up.

### "Make the switch!"

The onboarding and support team have been great to work with. I started testing Firefly 2 years before we actually committed. Not once did they make me feel like they were being pushy. I would've expected a lack of response after it took me so long to move forward but I still got the same support, response time and assistance I did from when I first started inquiring about them.

Pros

Extremely easy to use. We have both short term and seasonal reservations and it works well for both. I had our entire campground (186 units) set up in about 10 minutes. The invoicing is so easy to read, and the guest portal is extremely easy to use.

Cons

I'm not able to right click and open a new tab on any of the links, this has been frustrating specifically for POS items. We were forced into Firefly when Astra was bought out. Overall, the reporting as been inadequate, customer support subpar, and the general lack of communication to resolve issues has been terrible. Which is was has finally prompted this review.

Pros

Firefly seems like a decent looking software, with a major lack of functionality. This might be fine for very simple parks with limited offers, rates, etc. We didn't mind the online booking portal.

Cons

There are many. The view of guests and their listed bookings aren't in order (actually, in alphabetical by day of the week, which is incredibly non-functional). Ultimately, I feel that our park of 37 sites transient sites was too much for it to handle. If you don't care about reporting, and have only permanent guests, then they may be for you. However, an excel sheet might cause you and your accountant less issues.

### "The BEST Reservation System EVER"

As a manager who has transitioned thru previous versions, it was almost "pain-free" when we upgraded. There were little issues, but they were addressed promptly. It is amazing what can all be done from this program. The knowledge base is easy to access and find answers. Customer Support is prompt and helpful.

Pros

Easy to use. Love the info and notes we can save in a guests file.

Cons

You can't just type in dates and look at the available sites (Like you could in ASTRA or Campground Manager) When making reservations, it does not pull up the info for a returning guest.

Fantastic. Customer service is on point. Improvements are being made all the time! Easy to set up and use. Customers love it.

Pros

Easy to set up and to make changes as we need to.

Cons

Reservation grid could be improved for "at a glance" use. Example - Color etc to distinguish between checked in or out reservations.

Excellent, fast and easy to use. MUCH better that Campspot.

Pros

Firefly is fast and responsive. One of the things I love is the option of being able to drag a reservation to a new site from the grid.

Cons

Arrivals that are not checked in/haven't arrived by closing disappear from the arrivals list the next day which makes the next shift need to search for anyone who stills owes money from last night. And the kiosk check in should have an option for guest to pay the balance when checking in.

Generally, it takes the reservation and payment information, and then reports it back to us in a meaningful way.

Pros

The training videos are thorough, meaningful and really helpful in taking you through the whole process, beginning to end.

Cons

I use QuickBooks. It may be there, and I just haven't found it, but I don't see a direct transition from Firefly to QuickBooks

Overall I have had a very good experience with Firefly Reservations. After a short initial start-up, getting familiar with the system, I have found it quite easy to navigate. Any issues I've had, have been solved by a quick response from Firefly support.

Pros

Ease of use, and quick response time from support when I do have a problem or question.

Cons

The 2 step cancellation process, which they have recently addressed and streamlined.

Firefly Reservations has been a big help with time management. The more you learn about the software, the better it works for you. I started using it about 6-8 months ago and am still discovering time-saving options--and they're always making updates and improvements which are listed and explained in the program. I would definitely recommend Firefly Reservations to anyone finding it difficult to keep an organized camp schedule and calendar!

Pros

They thought of everything! I've been taking camp reservations the "old school" method for 6 years and it was getting to be so time consuming! Anything you can think of, the software is designed to take care of... reports, email templates, automatic payment reminders--it saves me a LOT of time. I had a lot of questions as I got set up and learned how to use Firefly, but the support was always super fast and answered all of my questions.

Cons

It takes a little time to get all set up, but they'll actually do that for you if you want. I felt I would learn more by doing the set-up myself.

I am so thankful for this software. It reduces the time that I am required to be on the phone. It gives my guests immediate response for their reservation needs.

Pros

Customer support is the best; given promptly with diagram explanation. Open to and implements suggested improvements. Many reports are available to easily track business success. It seems that most everything was truly thought out.

Cons

I don't feel there are cons. Any problems that I have encountered are quickly solved.

A very good product for booking cabins at our facility. Easy for both our visitors and staff to use.

Pros

The format is very user friendly. Training staff in how to use it is quick and easy. Program does not take a lot of bandwidth or computer resources to use. This was critical for us as we are remotely located and internet service is minimal.

Cons

Selecting dates when looking at calendar views takes a lot of clicking. It would be nice if it defaulted to one month and a single click could advance it. I believe this update is already in the pipeline.

Excellent customer service, with detailed responses to all of our questions. The system is easy to use by us as administrators, and by our customers.

Pros

\- Their reservation grid gives us an overall view of our availabilities, both past, present, and future for planning. - Great reporting features - Customized emails to customers - Excellent customer support

Cons

The credit card fees are high, and the system sometimes defaults to a prorate. Their team has been very responsive.

From a back-end user perspective, the reporting is very straightforward and easy to use. The customer service/support team is very responsive and willing to change or create reports in order to meet our needs.

Cons

The nature of these types of reservations makes it difficult to incorporate into the accrual accounting system our organization uses. The reporting features in Firefly and Stripe made it easy to record revenue from Firefly on a cash basis. This shouldn't deter users, just something to keep in mind when considering.

Coming from Astra, I didn't have much good to say about that platform. Firefly took over Astra and man is it a night and day difference. Not only has it help streamline the everyday process, but our customers enjoy the ease of use on their side as well.

Pros

The ease and simplicity of doing every day tasks. Also love the ongoing updates and support for the software. Hope to see if become even more robust over time.

Cons

Still missing some functionality that will be helpful for when someone is not onsite. IE. being able to manage and assign door codes to reservations.

I was able to get our RV park up and running quickly. Managing our reservations as well as additional products like Firewood have helped us to capture more sales. Reporting is great at the end of the year for a complete overview.

This is a complete solution for your RV and Camping software.

Cons

There is not much that I do not like about Firefly. A few things are a little difficult to figure out, but their support is easy to get ahold of and find the answers you need.

Pros

These ease in entering information, editing information, and just getting around the site as an administrator.

Cons

It was more not being able to also collect a fee, but that will change in 2025 with the ability to use BridgePay for payments, which is what my County uses.
