Pros

With Dialpad, managing business calls has been easy thanks to features such as call recording, call tracking and VoIP. The business phone system features are very capable and using this tool is easy It also comes with sales enablement features.

Cons

It has so many helpful features and so far Dialpad hasn't posed major challenges.

### "False advertising, beware."

Pros

Their promises. They advertise that their software works.

Cons

They say they do google contact syncing, but it only works for direct lines. If you are a team, this won't work for people that call your main number. You will only see the regular caller id for that number. The WIFI to Carrier switching doesn't work well, and you can't disable it. Support is very soso. There is no centralized place to see open tickets, so you are bombarded with emails, because they are really intaking specialists that ask you to do all the work, and then send you unrelated articles, after about 20 exchanges and 2 weeks.

Overall, Dialpad has been such a blessing for my company. It provides me with everything I need in a phone system and more. For the quality of product I receive it feels like it is under-priced due to it's value and professional perception my company receives. I will never go back to the old style phone system again. Thanks Dialpad!

Pros

The freedom it provides and it acts just like a true phone system that would cost me thousands to set up.

Cons

The app is a bit inconsistent, there seems to be a lag in time while in conversation, and I don't like how it shows on other people's caller IDs.

The ability to text clients. A lot of the clients I have are homeless, or hard to reach so texting is an amazing feature.

Cons

I wish it was easier to search text messages. When I search names in Dialpad I end up accidentally calling the clients.

Pros

Cons

Very rarely does there come a time when this happens but reporting can be limited. I also suggest having great internet speeds for Dialpad to work to the fullest.

Pros

Its simple, easy to use, and a good value. I can also add and remove employees in various area codes very easily and its easy to transfer within the company using the softphone.

Cons

Needs to integrate with Zapier so that we can use our phone numbers to automate outbound texts.

Pros

Great desktop and mobile applications to answer calls from anyway. Their recent offering of Uberconference for free with plans has also made video conferencing a breeze. We've gotten multiple clients using enterprise-level conferencing software always let us setup the meetings once they've tried our Uberconference system.

Cons

It'd be nice if you could change account settings directly through the desktop application without having to visit the Dialpad website to perform such actions.

The overall experience with Dialpad so far has been fantastic. We've tried several other services, and when we finally stumbled upon Dialpad (can't really remember how we found them now) it was like a breath of fresh air. So much easier to use, so much more reliable. It has a feature set and user interface that just makes sense. It has been truly great so far, and we've already recommended it to several clients and other business colleagues.

Pros

Call quality, ease of use, stability and reliability of both the client software and the calls themselves, great features for teams, and very affordable pricing.

Cons

We've noticed that, on occasion, when adding a contact to Dialpad and then having that contact call in does not always associate them with that newly created contact entry. Whenever that happens, we have to delete the contact entry that was already created, and then create a new contact entry for that person / company based on their most recent call / call history. That typically causes the contact entry to assign appropriately from that point forward when they call in.

The experience of keeping my personal and professional life without having to use multiple devices has helped me.Setting up and getting started with the product was easy. The pricing was also apt and justified.

Pros

The tool enables us to better connect with the prospects we are having a conversation with, and the nudges presented to us while having the conversation help us drive the conversation in a better direction. The fact that Dialpad enables us to use our regular phones is also an added advantage! Dialpad has helped us boost the productivity of our sales team significantly.

Cons

The issue we faced here was that even if there were multiple phones associated with one single line, we couldn’t use them simultaneously.

Pros

Telephony services in general are messy, it seems. Dialpad is at least one of the least expensive and more versatile ones. You can set it up with the help of their customer service, which I found very helpful. They also can hook into a teleconferencing system, which makes it more valuable overall.

Cons

I did have a lot of questions about the format of the system (groups vs. individuals, names vs. departments) for the outgoing voicemail. There was confusion on linking to separate lines. Some gave up and just had it transfer to their mobile phone lines, not the direct numbers with the company. See the invoice breakdown for the various charges you might be surprised by. I did see the cost increase over a short period of time. Also, we didn't get many calls. I wonder if we just lost them, if clients weren't leaving messages, or if it wasn't even working. :/

Customer service can be a challenge. Had a billing issue and they blamed me and refused to refund money when they were double billing me.

Pros

Our team LOVES this software because it allows us to work from ANYWHERE. We can answer phone calls remotely or on the road by using the desktop app or the mobile app. We've also found the texting feature to be incredibly helpful! This allows us to communicate in a whole new way with our clients. I love that I can also keep important info right in the contact's page - including special notes (that alert my team of their importance, too) and links to their page in our CRM. And finally, I love that I never have to punch in a number! If I already have the client's contact info, I can just click on it and the phone call begins. So helpful!

Cons

Every so often, we do experience glitches with the software, but there are updates so often that they NEVER last long. The benefits of this software FAR outweigh the teeny glitches we've experienced. One thing: I'd love to be able to mark messages as "Unread" so that my team members can see them if I've already read them.

Use day to day and would recommend for a company that doesn't receive a lot of inbound calls. Causes issues with an inbound sales strategy.

Pros

Easy to connect with your mobile number through APP platform, allowing calls to be pushed to your own phone.

Cons

Often have issues with connection with blue tooth headset, as well as receiving messaging in real-time

Dialpad has gone downhill in the past several months. They have added a lot of neat features but seem to have lost focus on the main purpose of the software, making and receiving calls with intelligible audio.

### "Software Killed the Telephone Call"

Overall, Dialpad has been a game changer for me. Call quality is great. The software allows me to work remotely in Arizona while the rest of my team is in San Jose, CA. The end user has no idea that I'm in Arizona... it's a seamless experience for them. When the office phone rings in San Jose, my app notifies me here in Arizona. It's great that I can continue to share the work of answering phone calls with my team no matter where we're located.

Pros

Dialpad offers a versatile calling platform with a rich feature set that covers all of a user's most common needs. Do you want to take calls through your computer? Done. Through your smartphone? No problem. Both? Yes, indeed.

Cons

Some team members simply can't or won't let go of the traditional desk phone. My team has had a very difficult time with this. Half the team uses the app with a headset/microphone combo. The other half insisted on using Polycom desk phones. Setting up the desk phones was a pain. After setup, there was still difficulty. Inbound calls always come through on the app, but 1 out of 3 calls don't come through on the desk phones.

The software provides transparency into how timely our support team is addressing client calls.

Pros

Dialpad makes it really easy to add/remove users. Also, having the ability to see when another team member has answered a department call is very useful.

Cons

The call routing features are not explained very well when you are trying to establish a workflow for incoming calls for departments. We always have to test these features and it usually takes a few attempts to get it right.

Pros

It is a great concept, easy to download.

Cons

We were paying $300 a year for Dialpad and added 2 lines for our telemarketing initiatives. The bill increased from $300 to $900 a year, which didn't seem reasonable. But that's okay, a quick conversation with Dialpad's customer service should clear things up. I was wrong! After spending HOURS on their website looking for a phone number to call, support webpages that take you in circles, and a chatbot that doesn't work I ended up finding the customer service email addresses in forums. A week has gone by and the only response I've gotten is that they discontinued the email I had contacted. I wasn't looking to switch providers but they literally don't have a customer service department anymore.

### "Great phone system"

I run two businesses, this allows me to cut the cost of my telephone service. I had three POTS lines for one business with 7 employees, now we have a DID for everyone plus the main number at half the cost. My other business is mobile so this works great. Highly recommend it.

Pros

The ability to work anywhere and still keep in touch with my clients. This works with regular VOIP phones or apps for Windows, Android and iOS. They all work seamlessly, I start a call on one device and can switch it and the client is completely unaware. Let's me record calls and gives me transcripts of calls and analytics.

Cons

I can't think of any flaws with this phone system. I've had great luck, been with them since they changed the name from Switch.co

easy to use and intuitive but lacks many controls over the agents once they're in the call center. Had issues related to dropped calls but resolved with better internet. Tech support is always prompt during business hours

Ease to add new users, call centers, phone numbers, installs on mutliple platforms

Cons

User management, lack of full controls over agents inside Call Centers and Departments, unable to butt-in, unable to dial by extensions without upgrading versions, must have same license across entire org (i.e. can't put management on enterprise licenses and sales agents on pro licenses) lack of super admin controls over users in org, unable to monitor license usage by assignment( i.e. who has what license?)

Pros

Integrates well with G Suite and other apps. Many SW options for web, desktop and mobile. Powerful self managed user features. Fairly strong cloud attendant functions. Nice extras like voicemail transcription and HD voice.

Cons

The Obihai phones are solid but seem to be the only ones natively supported. Conference phones are lacking in their lineup. Polycom conference phones are purported to be compatible but the setup is not straightforward. Costs are significantly higher then our SIP trunk based on-site solution, but the scalability and configuration options help greatly.
