A nice feature that I like is the comments section where we can tag the team members and get the right feedback. For the developer, it is very easy to get the correct dimensions. Cons If there are any changes made by the designer, the developers do not get any notification about the changes and there were few cases where we had the original designs until the designer pointed it out directly. It would be a nice feature to receive notifications for any changes that are made to the designs. Zeplin just makes it easy to work collaboratively. I could get a lot of information from the Zeplins file, that I used then for development. It made me ask much less questions to designers, because every detail was in the zeplin. Also I could add comments for designers and solve conversations on the zeplin file. Pros Zeplin was the first app I used to see the designs from the designers. It is really helpful that you can see the css there, colors, margins, paddings, etc. What I like most is that you can click two parts of the screen and see the exact distance between them, in other apps that distance is not so easy to get. Cons I didn't like the desktop version of Zeplin because its really slow. I prefer to use it web that works faster. It keeps track of the version history of a design, allows collaborators to comment directly on designs, and supports showing the same mockup in different UI (user interface) states. Cons Zeplin is excellent at facilitating the handoff process for individual screen designs, however, for engineers, it can be difficult to keep track of everything when there are many screens and animations between screens. Quando eu desenhava sites no Photoshop, sempre senti falta de uma ferramenta que fizesse a ponte entre o design e programação. Mas achei que acabou ficando para trás com o tempo após a chegada do Avocode. Also, the ability to structure and organize projects, right down to putting screens/designs into various collections really makes big releases or design projects much more manageable. Cons I'm not sure if this functionality exists, but the ability to customize notification settings so emails are only sent when you are mentioned in a comment would be great. It has greatly simplified the process of extracting CSS code from a Sketch design. Pros All my components from Sketch are automatically brought into Zeplin in an easy to use interface that shows me the components, and has extracted all the CSS for me to easily use in my code. Pros It's a decent option for Handoff - allows all teams and stakeholders to see the relevant elements, sections, and screens. Cons The only con is the price, which is a bit more expensive than comparable tools. Will continue to use and recommend. Pros You can tell that the creators of Zeplin are very creative. The graphics are beautiful. I have only used this for one project because we wanted to try it out. Therefore, it was free. The free version is pretty good. If I'm signed on for another project, I would pay for this software. I also found that the support team is great. They answer very quickly. Cons It was my first time using this software, and there was a bit of a learning curve. Afterwards, though it's great! So not a complaint. I'm just really happy about this program.
