### "Easy to use with a forward thinking concept!"

Overall we have saved so much staff time going from a very manual process to empowering our members by offering an online solution. (Paying invoices, registering online, updating profiles, etc.) The feedback from our members is also very positive, and that's the most important thing!

Pros

Honestly, my favorite part about Novi is the team. They made a great product that solved a lot of AMS issues, but the Novi Team is what makes it great. They didn't make a product and walk away thinking they were finished. They are constantly evaluating the software to see how it can be better. The best part is that they listen to user input when making those decisions.

Cons

This is a pro and a con... It isn't 100% customizable. Their features and upgrades apply to all users. This is a pro, because I, as a user, benefit from feature ideas brought in by other users, but it's also a con because if we have a need, that only we have and doesn't benefit other users, it doesn't make sense to change the software. The Novi team works hard to understand why we have the need and find a solution if it doesn't make sense for everyone.

Pros

I really like that you can easily pull data from users. As well as being able to create groups, this allows us to narrow down our target audience of members to ensure that we are getting the appropriate messaging to the right people.

We are a small association with very limited time and resources. This software has truly cut down on some repetitive tasks I was having to do previously, and now I have more time to get to things I may have not been able to in the past. It's easy to use, the training was thorough, and I like that it integrates with Quickbooks online.

Pros

I can easily access the information I need about my association simply. I like the interface. I love that it connects with Quickbooks and that I can easily copy/paste past events to get them set up quickly. It seems pretty intuitive to me. I also like that there are easy-to-access help articles and the response time when you have a question is fast.

Cons

Some aspects of the ECommerce could be better improved to tie in with events. Generating reports can be a bit time consuming because of the amount of data that is available; it can be overwhelming to try to find the exact field you're looking for.

I used WebLink, which was bought by MemberClicks if I'm not mistaken. It was a program specially designed for us apartment associations within the NAA network. It was cumbersome to manage, and I especially hated the general journal entries it created in Quickbooks with credit card transactions.

### "Time Saver"

is truly designed for the unique world of associations. Onboarding was simple and the staff is incredibly helpful. You can actually talk to a real person! I can't imagine​ ever moving away from Novi AMS.

Pros

is such a huge time saver for me and my team! Unlike having multiple programs and spreadsheets to complete daily activities such as event registrations, membership types, website, accounting, etc-Novi is a one-stop-shop​! With Novi AMS, adding a new member is a one-place entry! No more multiple sites and excel files to update! Using this software has freed up​ time for us to focus on the impactful aspects of our jobs.

Cons

Nothing comes to mind! Once I sat in on the demo of Novi, I was sold!

Pros

Novi allows our association to focus on the things that truly matter like our members, member benefits, and increasing revenue. We no longer have to build work arounds to get the information we need to make informed decisions. Novi has allowed out team to become incredibly efficient, which in turn allows us to be creative and innovative. Being a Novi customer means being a part of the Novi family. They value your input and strive for continually improvement based off customer needs. It truly is an AMS built by associations for associations.

Cons

Nothing. There is nothing I would change about Novi.

### "Great AMS with better customer service"

Novi's customer service and responsiveness are the best I've seen from a vendor. Our website and database are intuitive and easy to use, and the chat function for customer support is quick.

Pros

The learning curve is not steep, as it is with many other AMS/donor management systems, the controls are intuitive, and the customer services has been highly responsive.

Cons

I'd like to see a more robust email automation process, separate from the link to mailchimp or constant contact. I'd like for it send emails to members thanking them for payment on receipt. That said, my past requests have been taken into consideration and implemented, so I'm sure this will be added before long. Also, I did balk at the price-tag, at first, but it's worth every penny.

### "No workarounds is not a joke"

The intercom feature - the NoviAMS team is always there to help you out. The sprint release notes come in handy when you need a high level overview of what features are being released.

Pros

\- easy to use for all age generations on our team - Quickbooks Online integration makes for seamless accounting - Robust membership database with customizations and relationship eliminated need for spreadsheets - Member compass with centralized information (invoices, registration, renewals, member directory info)

Cons

\- I wish we would have switched sooner and that our smaller clients with much smaller budgets could transition onto it.

It is a delight to use - it makes a huge difference being able to contact the whole team and have them show interest and give really good help

Pros

The responsiveness and support of the team is quite incredible. It is also wonderful to have a very good integration into quickbooks. I also like the API - it is very simple and reliable.

Cons

Not much - Novi is developing rapidly - so some things that were not so good 6 months ago have already been worked on based on feedback - and new features are added all the time

I have been so very pleased with Novi. The team is great. They are always there if you need support, and they are also so proactive in improving the software and user experience. I would recommend Novi to anyone!

Pros

I find that Novi integrates so seamlessly with Quickbooks and our constant contact to be the most helpful feature. Having programs that speak to one another just really helps to keep everything organized and streamlined. The streamlining process removed a lot of potential for human error out of our business model, and it also helped to increase our revenue. Novi frees up our time to help focus more on growing our membership, and it also has great opportunities to create some non-dues revenue.

Cons

They are always looking for ways to help improve the software, so sometimes there is a little bit of a learning curve to figure out the new offerings. While it can be annoying to have to learn something new, it's always great when you master the new skill. They are always focusing on improving!

We are very satisfied. We have a product that not only meets our needs, but brings engagement and value to our customers/members.

Pros

Novi sets a high standard in many areas. Having used two different Member Management System's in my time here - the difference could be noticed in the very beginning. The training and onboarding process was amazing - and the Novi team took such good care of our team as we trained, designed and migrated to their platform. Their stellar customer service has never slipped and their responsiveness when questions or issues arise is exceptional. The Novi team NEVER OVER PROMISES and sets reasonable expectations when discussing new features. Our "outages" or "downtime" have been almost non-existent and the Novi team has made proactive upgrades to protect their customers and ensure we remain up and running! Novi constantly provides environments for continued training and idea sharing for us, as well as feedback for them through round tables, their sprint update and making themselves available at our annual conference.

Cons

There isn't really much - there are a couple of features that we have requested - but they continuously add them to the "sprint wish-list" and bring us new features constantly!

### "NOVI Helps US Help Our MEMBERS"

From onboarding until now, I have never felt like I was lost trying to use this software. NOVI gives you access to help articles and an exchange where other NOVI customers can share their tips and tricks. This software was created and is continually updated thanks to the input from other professionals using it.

Pros

This software is increasingly intuitive and easy for everyone on staff to use. Whenever I have a need for a new function, I can put a bug in NOVI's ear and they make it happen.

Cons

I really wish there was a mobile option. It would be really helpful to even just a have a "member lookup" option for when we are out and about.

Since using Novi, we are way more confident in the data we pull. Monthly membership reports use to be my least favorite thing to do, now its a piece of cake thanks to Novi!

Pros

First, our website looks great! As for the program itself, we are able to get most of the information needed when it comes to monthly reporting to the board. This was the main reason for switching.

Cons

I'm assuming, because it's new there are a few bugs that have to be worked out, but they are great at helping out. Overall, my least favorite was the data import when you first start. It was very tedious and time consuming.

### "Good software, worth the switch"

Overall I have a positive opinion of Novi, the positives far outweigh the negatives and Novi is constantly updating the system with better features. QuickBooks Online needs to update their system to catch up because Novi is much further advanced. Over time I believe Novi will just become a better database.

Pros

I love how easy it is to copy events/classes, create class codes, receive payments online and let users manage their accounts. The software takes a lot of the manual/staff operation out of the equation allowing us more time to complete other work. The staff is also great, the take concerns seriously which I really appreciate and try to provide a fix if possible. Sending invoices is also super easy to do and quick which I love.

Cons

There are a few areas that I'm not a big fan of, such as the refunding for membership dues is difficult to process and can only be completed on the QB's Online side not on Novi itself. It would be great to be able to pull past due invoices by specific event/class to email or mail out but instead it pulls all past due event/class invoices making it more difficult to seperate out what needs to be sent. Lastly the QB's Online portion is tricky on certain aspects for the finance side, that is a not a downfall of Novi more so on QuickBooks but since the two integrate with each other that can be an issue.

Pros

I love the customer support. The novi team is always quick to respond and eager to help. I feel that the entire system is less daunting to a new user when there is an attentive customer service team ready to assist. I also like the reports feature, events feature, and ability to take notes and manage accounts easily.

Cons

I do not like the front end design features very much. I don't have much freedom to make the page look like how I'd prefer, though I recognize that this is not squarespace and Novi has other perks. I also wish there was a simpler way to track touchpoints across accounts. There is in theory, but the engagement data does not match reality for our association.

We began with Novi in late 2018 and have been very happy since. Our organization is small so the automations have been very helpful in maximizing staff hours on things like mailing list queries and event registrations.

Pros

Having our membership database and website connected have enabled us to automate our event registrations.

Cons

I would like a native mass email system inside of Novi instead of the Constant Contact/Mail Chimp bridge. Those two companies have large public profiles and many of our members have them blacklisted in their SPAM filters.

### "I couldn't be more pleased with NOVI."

NOVI has brought our association into the 21st Century. On the administrative side, I love the ease of updating and adding new features to my website to keep it current. I can't say enough about the interfacing of NOVI, Quickbooks, events, and dues collection. This is such a time saver! The members of our association really seem to love it. They can log in to see the member/vendor portal, sign up for events, pay dues and see their education credits. We are definitely happy customers!

Pros

Integration was pretty straightforward and simple. The NOVI team worked with me every step of the way to make sure we were getting everything we needed to get started. Onboarding was a lot less painless than I initially expected. I'm not extremely tech-savvy and even I think it is manageable and easy to use.

Cons

I honestly think of anything that NOVI is lacking. Anytime I can't figure something out there are plenty of short help articles to guide me. If I do have to reach out to the time at NOVI, they are very timely and make sure that I have exactly what I need to move forward.

I spoke to other NOVI users and was told nothing but good things. I also checked out several of their websites and was impressed so that really won me over. This also helped our Board members to see where NOVI could take us.

### "Novi AMS is Crucial to your Success!"

I will be honest, is the first association management software I have worked with- so I don't have anything to compare to. However, based on what I have heard...Novi AMS soars high above the competition. I love how easy it is to get in touch with support, and the fact that I have had a chance to meet the Novi team at the first annual Novi AMS summit. The team truly cares about its customers, and it is refreshing to witness!

Pros

I love how easy it is to navigate, learn, and teach to new hires. The software is so user-friendly, and it is almost impossible to make a mistake (and if you do make a mistake, the Novi team is quick to help).

Cons

I really can't say I have an answer to this. Whenever there is a feature I don't like, it is usually fixed within a few months. Novi is constantly listening to its customers, and innovating!

### "Novi Surprised Me"

I came from a salesforce database, which I loved, so I complained about Novi for a while, but then I realized that Novi could do everything saleforce did, except WAY better because I could customize the program in ways I never imagined. With salesforce, I had to find and hire a consultant who would take weeks to change a field, or write a report, or fix a marketing cloud bug. On the other hand, Novi provides flexibility without complicating the programming. I continue to be impressed by its functionality and its product improvements. I wish more AMS's had this culture of continuous improvement and user-centric vision.

Pros

My favorite thing about Novi is its ease of use. We have a very diverse staff and everyone can use it to increase their productivity and streamline their processes. Our members also appreciate the visibility they have into their company portfolios.

Cons

I really like Novi. Trust me, if there was something I didn't like, you'd know about it and then it would be fixed shortly because that's what y'all do. You make it hard to complain and I do like to be the squeaky wheel :)

Pros

I liked how is very user-friendly platform that makes managing and organizing all aspects of running an association simple. It has a great set of features that can help you save time and streamline your tasks. It also provides excellent customer service and support, which is invaluable to any organization.

Cons

The lack of customization options available on the was the least liked feature. While the system was easy to use and had many useful features, it lacked the customization options that some of its competitors did.

With our previous AMS, I had to do so many things manually to get my accountant the information she needed. Now, I just review the information that comes from novi to QBO and it's magical.You cannot beat their customer service team! Everyone is incredible and always answers my questions quickly and thoroughly.

Over all my experience with Novi has been stellar. The customer service is invaluable and the integrations with MailChimp saves me time and effort.

Pros

There are many great features of Novi, but the best features are the integrations with QuickBooks. The product significantly decreased the reconciliation time we had to spent each month.

Some of the features that have been requested are taking sometime to come out in the updates which can be frustrating.

### "Robust in the Areas that Matter"

No AMS is perfect for every organization, but is dedicated to customer service and experience. For every step backwards we felt we were taking when switching to Novi, we were taking 2, 3 or 4 steps forward in other areas that mattered more.

Pros

For trade associations, this software excels in the areas that matter the most - membership and events. It is very user friendly, which makes on boarding employees much faster. The customer support is great - the team listens to the needs of its users and shapes its software accordingly.

As with all software, there are areas that are lacking, and larger organizations that may be used to some features may need to sacrifice business use in order to take advantage of the pros.
