It functions well on the user end. Is very simple to train for end users. A bit frustrating and complicated to manage, but nothing that any operations or IT team couldn't handle. Pros Reliable service, haven't had any down time. Competitive pricing structure Broad capability for rules with the signatures Cons The interface can be frustrating to use. Changes sometimes do not save or windows close randomly. Can become very frustrating while designing complicated signature with a lot of rendering rules. The user database updates when a user is added, but not when one is deactivated. This can get frustrating if you forget to reduce your license count. Some of the rules do not apply as you would expect - it can take some time to get used to, but isn't overwhelmingly difficult. Can cause mail routing issues with Barracuda or other email threat management software. Not impossible task to work around, but many of our emails were flagged early on in our implementation. This enabled the business to focus on marketing and the IT team to focus on creating custom signatures. Pros Standard signature across the group and the ability to make ad hoc changes to signatures for marketing campaigns.Works well and provided what we needed. Cons not as easy to copy signature templates easily, and presented issues when managing multiple signatures for a branch/brand, making it challenging to manage. Cons The billing department is terrible and the customer service is even worse. They have been charging me for almost a year and not providing the service. Repeated attempts to contact support and the credit department go unanswered. I have an open case on this issues that is 6 weeks old. No update in 3 weeks despite repeated attempts to contact support. The last update I received was they were trying to get in touch with their own Credit department, which is a strange response. Pros when you have it configured it's great, you can add more people and the signatures are applied and updated automatically. Cons The worst thing is used, the design could improve, there is time that I have to use manual mode. For some reason we had a minor issue of having to re-create a signature group. Setup was fairly simple and it allowed me to update our companies email signature in one spot based off building, department, etc. Within the console, it was nice to be able to see a preview of each email signature before deploying it to all users. Pros I liked the ease of updating our whole companies email signatures in one platform. The setup was fairly simple and the ease of grouping employees based off department, building, etc. was extremely helpful. Cons The only item I found to be inconvenient was waiting for the policy to replicate across the company. I found it sometimes took 20 minutes for all users to be updated or it could take 24 hours. I typically connect exclaimer to microsoft office 365 tenants for use with company emails. I have sometimes used the premade templates from exclaimer but often created my own custom templates and I have also reached out to exclaimer in the past and asked them to create a custom template for me, based on a design that I provided. Pros I love how easy it is to create professional and complex email signatures and to deploy them throughout the company for use by all users. I also like the reseller program and the fact that I can also manage my clients email signatures from one online dashboard. Cons Although the signature creation tool is quite good it is sometimes a little complicated to use and often there are quirks when it comes to setting up a signature with a specific layout. Director, Brand Design Hospital & Health Care Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Exclaimer Cloud is Great for SMB and Startups" July 12, 2022 4.0 Pros The first thing about the software that I was most drawn to was the price, which was on par with comparable signature tools. What ultimately sold it was their willingness to sign a BAA with us due to our work with patient data. We are simultaneously working to build an organization that complies with all of the US's regulations on healthcare data and almost no signature tools out there were willing or even sure what that involves. Additionally, the product just works. In the past, I've used other tools that were sold to me and my companies as amazing applications, but they never executed well. Exclaimer has worked for us since we were able to get everything operational on our end. Their support staff is amazing and incredibly helpful in troubleshooting all the various problems we ran into while integrating our Google Workspace. Cons The user interface tends to have some glitches here and there. Sometimes elements will not update when styles and text are changed in the signature editor. Usually this requires a refresh of the application and repeating some of that work. Other times, it will not save the changes after working on a signature and the edits will revert when returning to the signature selection screen. All of these leave improvements to be desired, but don't impact the overall effectiveness of the application in deploying and triaging signatures at scale. Reason for choosing Exclaimer Ultimately, it came down to which vendors were willing to sign a BAA with us to comply with securing healthcare data. Review Source BH Britten H. Also comprehensive information consistency for each associate. It's convenient and helpful. Pros Integration and set-up took the longest just getting all our employee info into the fields. But once set-up, it was fairly easy to use and manage. We love the ability to have different signatures for each of our divisions. Cons Not being able to turn off signatures on replies - you can, but it turns it off on all replies, including replying for the FIRST time to a customer or vendor. If a customer reaches out to you first and you've turned off signatures for replies, the reply you make to that customer and essentially emailing them for the first time, won't include your signature. We just wanted to be able to turn it off after you've replied or emailed someone for the first time within the same thread so there wouldn't be so many graphics in one thread. But right now, if you turn off the signatures on replies, it turns it off for every reply regardless if it's the 1st, 2nd, etc. There are also some problems with iOS where the images in the signature each turn into attachments to the email upon replies on mobile email. There is a work around but we are still having a few problems. I spoke with a very knowledgeable, very approachable, friendly, honest, professional engineer who answer my questions brilliantly, in a 45 minute video call session. Pros How easy it is to add new users to the portal, and assign them permissions to edit signatures. This allows the IT department to offload this task to Marketing, and IT are only responsible for implimentation/issues. Cons The signature designer screen can sometimes get very finnicky. Cons Specifically, we were disappointed that no support to handle outlook dark mode has been added yet. This is very common now and our signatures do not look great in dark mode due to the lack of ability to lock background colours. Also, when I made a little booboo and it stopped working (my fault) - their support was fantastic - resolved the issue in the first suggestion. Pros It does everything it says as well as it needs to - it's far easier than managing signatures manually. I started using it when it was just me - ensuring signatures get applied uniformly across all devices - it wasn't possible before - different apps have different capabilities - this isn't dependent on any features on apps or devices Cons Nothing really - I guess they could give it away for free? Pros Creates a good, standardized signature that we apply across the enterprise Cons Analytics re-writes url's in your signature, to track the clicks, which I understand, but I can't enable/disable this myself, and have to open a ticket to manage. No need to spend time to onboard new employees, show them how to use signatures or make them yourself. We have it across all platforms so it shows up when messaging from phones as well. Pros Ease of use and implementation. We have set it up for a client of ours that was constantly having issues with employees not using signatures or not using the proper signature. Since implementation, they loved the product and most of the employees don't know it exists, they just think their signature magically shows up in their Outlook. Cons Took a few tries to get everything set up properly and we also had an email outage that happened because of the M365 connector. But support was pretty fast and helped us get through it. Pros It is incredibly easy to create a business wide email signature from scratch in a very quick time frame. The UI is intuitive and what you see is what you get. The rules make it simple to split between departments and create a completely custom template for each business area. Cons There have been no hurdles in integrating this into our business, the only negative has been that it takes some users a while to get their head around not being able to control their own signature. Pros The simple of use is great for new team members when they need to do some simple/light actions. You can just show them the site and very quickly they can figure it out by themselves. Cons The signature order is a bit clunky at times, especially when you start getting very fine details like a specific number of users within a group that requires a particular signature. Pros Exclaimer allows you to centralise signature management, taking the pain away from either editing/updating employee email signatures individually or relying on end users to update their own signatures. It allows flexible designs and integrates well with Active Directory. Cons There was a bit of a learning curve when we originally implemented the on-premise Outlook Edition and Exchange Edition but the new 365 edition retains all configuration settings, signatures and integrates well with Azure AD. Full traceability, O365 integration is great, ability to test a signature in the browser before applying it is useful and I was able to identify missing AD properties for users by checking in the browser. Pros Ability to apply a signature change to all staff quickly and efficiently.
