Higher value than expected. Overall a great move! Pros The software is easy to get started with. Many software programs make it difficult to actually implement. This is not one of those. The customer service and support is phenomenal with less than 24 hour turnaround on every single request. They even help to set up our first she templates when I got a bit stuck. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] was our sales rep when we initially started looking at the software. She was one of the main reasons why we decided to try it because of her knowledge expertise and honesty. Ability to communicate via chat initially on the website was super impressive. Cons The only thing we would want to see improved is the upload speed and refresh speed once a template has been created and amended. Pros Having signatures attached without the need for users to make changes or have specialised software was great. A great tool if you run bare-bones IT and your users aren't tech-savvy or your users can't be trusted. Cons Support, not sure if you can even call it that now. It was awesome two years ago, but since then has declined rapidly into something non-existent. In the last six months, our ticket replies seemed to be from a bot trying to stall for time. Email delays were also frustrating, as you do route your mail to BPM for the signature to be attached, so you get a minor delay if everything is working, but if BPM has issues then you'll be waiting a lot longer. When we would "switch off" BlackPearl our open rates would dramatically jump, which lead to our decision to start seeking another vendor. Pros \- Great inexpensive platform to automatically standardize signatures across the organization - Allowed us to track mail and opens outside of our Hubspot instance - Great tools to push email banners for campaigns in signatures Cons \- They stopped responding to any customer tickets after their last two serious issues i.e. email could not be delivered - Seems like they have some issues with DNS or CNAME or who knows - but we can't not have our email delivered - Concerned that technical issues with the platform were sending our emails into spam or labeling them as spam - Based in New Zealand, so time zone is impossible if you are based in the US Alternatives considered [Newoldstamp](https://www.capterra.com/p/150779/Email-signatures/) Reason for choosing Black Pearl Mail BlackPearl was far less expensive. The main benefit to us in these early stages is having consistency across the business to manage the look and feel of our signatures from one portal, rather than everyone managing this themselves and having differences with font and size and information etc. We have not yet used the banners to their full potential, but plan to soon, and so far we love the look of them and have had great response. Cons What people have struggled with most is not being able to see the signature as they are writing a new email or in their sent items after an email is sent. There have also been complaints from people that they believe Black Pearl is slowing down email delivery and causing Outlook issues. It would also be good to see more options in the signature template creation such as more flexibility with sizing, alignment, positioning etc. We have also found the company wide analytics to be not super helpful and very basic. It was so lovely to chat with someone who knew his product inside and out and actually enjoyed still taking and making calls to stay in touch with his potential customers. After we committed, we were connected with one of his colleagues who gave us the same experience; knowledgeable, professional, extremely confident on the platform and delivered on what she had committed within the time she had advised. We have only had to use the support team once since rolling out Black Pearl. We wanted to add flexible working arrangements to our signature. I am still blown away by this experience. Overnight I received a personalised step-by-step video on how to make these changes myself. In addition to this, they also made changes.on my behalf. Contact back and forth was almost immediate, and exceeded all my expectations. Black Pearl has the right product and, more importantly, the right people. They have done a lot for us regarding our email signature since we had quite a few changes to be implemented over the time. Cons The implementation of the asked things is sometimes not as accurate or detailed as wanted, this leads to a lot of back and fort mailing. Pros Black Pearl made my emails look AMAZING! I got immediate feedback from clients and staff. The end-user analytics features are super useful also. Great value for money. Cons The whole product and provisioning process was great, but if there was one thing I had to pick at it was that it took a day or so to get used to not seeing a signature when composing an email. IT Project Manager Warehousing Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Excellent customer service" September 12, 2023 5.0 I inherited the use of blackpearl from a company we acquired. I reached out to support to move the account over to our MS tenant. The onboarding specialist immediately knew what we needed to do. We are in a vastly different timezone, he adjusted his time to meet with us early in his day. He scheduled everything to get the switch completed exactly when we needed it, even though we only gave him 3 days notice. On the day of the migration, I got an email 2 minutes after the scheduled time for the switch saying it was done. Meaning he did exactly what he said he would do, when he said he would do it, and confirmed it. It is scary how rare that is these days when dealing with vendors. My employees were able to test and see that everything worked so the migration has been seamless. \[sensitive content hidden\] was even able to give us some tips about things we wouldn't have even thought to ask. Pros The ease of use of the administration of the product and the helpfulness of the employees when help is needed.
