As a user - it has been good and the learning curve isn't too steep. Makes life a bit easier during the stressful time of year.

Pros

Was easy to use, for me, once everything was set up. I hate setting things up, but other staff took care of that. Customer support, is very helpful. The tax management for jobs makes life easier for all to see what is going on.

Cons

Set up can be stressful, but if you make it an on going process once it is going, that takes some of the stress off.

We've found incredibly useful in managing our firm and serving our clients. The staff has been great.

Pros

is an affordable and important part of our office workflow. Taxdome filled many of the gaps that exist in a tax/accounting firm that isn't a franchise. Our limited experience with customer support has been great. It's easy to use and helps us support our clients well.

Cons

I don't have any complaints about ! I know the support is there when I'm ready. I'd like to schedule a time to share some of our areas of opportunity with the staff and see if any existing features meet our needs.

10/10 - I truly believe in the power of collaboration and feel fuels that consistency. I also feel my overall experience

Pros

Customer support and the desire to improve the overall product while building a cohesive community of tax pros.

Cons

Some of the integrations could be expanded, but knowing tech im not sure i would count this as a negative but more of a "cant wait". I also feel the onboarding could have been a little more in depth explaining the features and pipeline creation

Overall, we are very pleased with the software and are looking forward to further utilization of the features.

Pros

We like the client request and chat tools the most. This saves so much time that was previously spent sending the same emails over and over again to obtain client documents and other information.

Cons

We feel that the technical support is lacking in terms of the turnaround time on resolution of issues. We would put in tickets and then be told for days that it was being worked on, with us not having the ability to fully utilize the software in the meantime.

Super Great! Best tool to manage your clients status and track your time. It's great to use for small business owners especially when you want to assign to your team members.

Pros

Workflow/Pipeline: It's the best tool to monitor the task that needs to be done, and the status of each client/job. Time Entry: Best to monitor how much time you have used and best tracker.

Cons

Reports: Sometimes it lacks the filter I want that I need. For example, I want to know the clients that had tax balances due so that I know who to prioritize for next year. Many Notifications that client receives. Can't find some emails from team members in the communication tab. A bit pricey.

Overall, Its been a great experience. Every software has its pros and cons, but I would say the pros of definitely outweighs the cons.

Pros

It' a good value for its price, it's fairly simple to use, connection with QBO, Drake Tax Software, Workflow Pipelines are great features.

Cons

Annual Billing only instead of monthly options. They always seems to make updates in January right before tax season instead of July, but usually is smoother than anticipated.

Pros

I like all the features that are included in the base price and that the price does not increase with the increase in features.

Cons

even though they advertise as being "automated" there is still a lot that needs to be done manually.

Great! I am so glad that I started using it for my small firm to make everything so streamlined! It is a tool that helps with everything from day-to-day to tax season tasks management.

Pros

The systems are easy to set up and easy to use! It made software integration and transition so smooth. It is affordable, making it a great tool for CPA firms of all sizes, including solo practitioners. I use it for everyday tasks, monthly tasks, and of course, tax management, making all my SOPs so seamless.

Cons

The only downside is it is so great with so many tools that I know I am not utilizing everything as well as I should!

I love the fact that is extremely user friendly! Having never used this program before I was impressed by how quickly I was able to learn and navigate with ease.

Cons

The updates...although I know for the better! Having an update within the system can be tricky for some of the users in office.

So far so good. Still working through the full understanding of all its features but overall GREAT! We are all still adjusting.

Pros

Having a central location for client work and team tasks keeps us all in the loop and on the same page! Not hard to use.

Cons

The formatting when writing documents and there is no spellcheck. I end up copy and pasting in WORD, then I have to copy and pasted back into .

My overall experience with has been helpful for my business it has allowed me to keep my business organized.

Pros

The ability to automate my services. The library and access to different templates and workflows. I like the chat and email option to communicate with my tax clients. I like the option to accept payments for my small business. I like that I can store my tax documents.

Cons

The pricing is high to add additional users and there are constant issues going on. The fees are constantly increasing. There should be a phone number to speak with customer service. The setup process is very time consuming.

Overall, great experience and great software, highly recommend. Support is 5 star, really appreciate that. We were able to utilize the most important features in our first year; we will utilize more next year. Definitely saved us time with repetitive tasks and also provided a secure portal for client interface. Very happy to have invested in Tax Dome.

Pros

All client documents are in one place for easy access; clients can upload their docs one at a time or all together and at their own pace.

Cons

Rather substantial learning curve as we learn how to use all the software features.

It's been ok, it could be better. The information could have been more secure and retrievable, however it was not.

Pros

One stop shop for client info and notes. I do like the fact that the clients can upload their data and that we can also put information in as providers.

Cons

Missing or removed or replaced data that can't be retrieved. This was extremely disheartening when I lost a few spreadsheets, Notes, and other documents that IT said could not be retrieved.

Tax Dome has made it easier to see what I have outstanding and to see what is being worked on by others.

Pros

I love how easy TD is to use. The system updates timely and the information available at a glance is phenomenal.

Cons

You basically need to know the ins and outs of the system to be able to use it, its a little bit of a learning curve, but once you figure it out, it does wonders.

My experience with is very good. The communications, documents, signatures, and pipeline — has simplified my workload.

Pros

My favorite parts are Pipeline, communication, and time entries. And client loves the chat feature as well.

Cons

The platform has a bit of a learning curve at the beginning. Once you get the hang of it, it’s great. Also, it's a bit annoying to sign in that requires 2-step verification everyday even i click "remember for 30-Day.."

My experience is has been good overall just some minor things I do not like and still do not know how to use.

Pros

the ease of using tax dome. Its easy to send a link and get customers signed up. I love that with the email sync when my clients email me a document instead of uploading it. The system will automatically add to Tax dome.

Cons

I do not like that they charge to help get setup and refer you to their bootcamp. At the cost for this program, you should get at least one time setup or review. at least one hour free with the charge you pay. i also wish it would integrate with QuickBooks desktop.

I'd give it a 3-4 stars. Once you get used to it, it isn't so bad. It's just so much to learn to do correctly.

Pros

I like how all encompassing TD is. It really has the capability to house the entire process all in one system. It includes the tax return process, client communication, billing, and more all in one place.

Cons

TD can also be clunky and not user friendly at times. There are too many clicks to do anything. The way it tracks time is also not my favorite.

I'm very pleased with the features, benefits and ease of use of . I also like being able to switch to the client view so I can walk clients through and see exactly what they see.

Pros

is very easy to learn. I thought at first I would get lost in all the available options, but after working on it for a short time it flows well. It's also been very easy to help clients navigate it on they're end. I love the security of data transfer, and having everything in one system. The chat feature is one of my favorite ways to communicate with client.

Cons

There are frequent changes that get confusing to things that worked better before the change. I'll get settled on the layout and the next day I have to look for emails. Once I figure out the changes it's ok, but I think some of the changes that happen were not necessary.

Pros

I really appreciate the all-in-one platform: CRM, document storage, client portal, task management, e-signature, and billing are seamlessly integrated. The automation tools (pipelines, templates, client onboarding) have significantly reduced manual tasks and improved internal efficiency. Excellent value for the features provided.

Cons

The overall cost is a bit high, especially for part-time collaborators who only use the platform occasionally. It would be helpful to have more flexible pricing options based on actual usage or user roles (e.g. limited access or occasional users at a reduced rate).

Pros

Excellent firm to client flow and communication capabilities. Ease of use on both client and firm end. Made for a happier and smoother tax season.

For the Firms end of usage: It would be more beneficial if you could open chat area in an independent window.

I really like it and I am eager to see how they improve and what the future has to offer. Really wish a training didn't cost money and we could get a couple of hours or have training videos provided for free.

Pros

They system is easy to use from a client side, and I love the fact everything is in once place. The organizers really help eliminate the leg work needed for taxes. We have not used billing yet

Cons

There is an adjustment to figuring out how to set it up properly and I feel we still only use 25% of what we have available to us. To get help is expensive for a small firm

Pros

The pipeline makes it easier to keep up with clients and for us to know where each client is in the tax preparation process.

Cons

The learning "experts" were anything but, we really taught ourselves how to use it and there were things that we were told were integrated that ended up not being.

The vast majority of the functionality is great - but creating client friction outweighs literally everything else.

Pros

Work management, e-signature, automation were all very good. The overall product is improving regularly, and look forward to the future enhancements.

Cons

Client experience with 2 factor authentication. Way too many complaints about how clunky the experience was. And - at the end of the day - client experience matters most.

### "Good for Solo Practitioners but not for larger firms."

If you are a solo practitioner, this is a great software platform that can act as an automated admin employee. If you are a larger firm that needs to manage multiple employees, the software doesn't give you the tools that you need to do that without having to pay for separate software.

Pros

Once you get the pipelines set up, they are very effective for managing workflow and communicating with clients. We get our compliance completed and signed much faster and the ability to send mass emails near deadlines is helpful.

Cons

The Time & Billing portion of the software is so poorly thought out it is clear that nobody at has any experience operating a CPA firm with multiple employees. Most other CPAs that I know who use the platform still have to pay for a separate T&B software since you can't use TaxDome to print a simple timesheet for employees and the WIP reports for billing purposes are too limited for modern value billing and line item billing.

I enjoy using it so for my work flow and tax client handling. Being able to see what my colleagues are working on and respond to client emails from my colleagues email in case they are out of the office helps keep the work flow efficient.

Pros

The ability to track my billing hours, view emails from clients, and create tasks helps me to stay on top of my client tax situations and books.

Cons

Only certain emails come through when it will be good if i can connect my email account and no-clients emails will come through as well for the potential clients who eventually get turned into clients.
