The experience so far has been great. I have managed to organize my workflow, CRM data, and time-tracking so much more since implementing TaxDome within my practice.

Pros

I love how robust TaxDome is with all of it's features, and the fact that they are constantly adding new features. Tax Return Delivery has been a game changer for my practice and how I deliver tax returns and inform clients about upcoming payment deadlines. I also enjoy the integrations with QuickBooks, Stripe and other solutions I use.

Cons

It can be difficult to get set up in TaxDome starting out, and there is a lot of clicking to perform any task. It also has been really buggy recently with all of the new features they are rolling out.

It has been crucial in running my practice in the cloud, and it feels more modern. So far, getting clients on board has been great.

Pros

Organization, professional layout, ease of use. I appreciate how I can collaborate with the client and team.

Cons

Needs more templates for pipelines. Needs better automation tutorials. Some templates in the market either are not relevant or are priced wrong.

### "Do recommend, but..."

Good enough to recommend your products to other people, but with a small heads up about some of the idiosyncratic smaller things.

Pros

The layout is pretty intuitive. While compartmentalized a bit, it takes only a little understanding of how things are laid out to get going on what needs to be done.

Cons

My only issues with TaxDome are with certain small things that end up having an impact. For instance, when I reply to a client through an email, another person's signature block is automatically put in, even if I was a CC'd person in the email. I also have had to sync my email multiple times (it has happened a few times in one year, but I usually have to re-sync it about 20 times for every iteration. My last example is that when I am uploading a POA, I have to upload it to the "Tax Return" Documents folder, to allow them the opportunity to sign it, which is strange because many people would consider that to have been mis-filed.

I have looked at other options before and never found the right tech stack to manage all the features this program offers, especially all in one package. I love the concept and features they offer. It really is a one stop shop for your accounting firm's needs

Pros

This has been an amazing secure portal for me to use to manage my practice. They offer all the features I need to request signatures, store documents by year and project, communicate securely via internal chat, workflows, branded portal, and more. I can't wait to learn more about every feature.

Cons

It can be overwhelming and daunting to learn all the features and properly set everything up correctly. I'm still working through everything and I have already been with the program for 6 months.

Overall, my experience has been amazing. I will continue to use taxdome because it makes everything really easy for me. Nothing beats organization.

Pros

Tax dome is a lifesaver when it comes to organization. If it werent for taxdome, it would be hard to manage storing and managing my clients documents. This is the main reason I invest in this program.

Cons

If I were to list something I least liked about TaxDome, I would say I disliked that you have to create workflows on your own. For beginners, it would be nice to have templates ready to go for those that own tax firms so that you can smoothly transition clients statuses through the pipelines.

Pros

Very easy to use. Positive feedback from our clients and staff. Makes having all of our documents in one place very efficient and effective. Each year it gets better and better with their program enhancements.

Cons

Program bugs can interrupt productivity. Tax Dome is very helpful and resourceful when this happens and corrects the issue promptly.

Great. Love it. I t really helps us to keep track of work much much better. I love the time tracking feature for bookkeeping, and being able to leave notes with each job helps us to be able to go back and find out what happened with each job easily.

Pros

the pipelines (including tasks and jobs) i was using an Excel spreadsheet prior, and I love working with Excel, but it just wasn't what I needed. I had tried to make my own database in Access to keep the jobs in order but just didn't have the time to create what I wanted. TD solved the problem. And there were other programs we looked at, but TD covered the majority of our needs. Everyone in the company could make good use of it in whatever job they had to do.

Cons

My boss really wants to be able to pass on the credit card fees to the client. I think other programs already offered that. But since TD had this in the works to be able to do soon, we went with TD.

Hard to start, but very much worth it. My clients are used to their monthly statement requests that get sent automatically from TD, and that alone makes my whole workflow better in every way.

Pros

I think the value for money is unmatched, and I hope they continue with this fair pricing system! It makes my workflow easier and more thorough, makes me look more professional to my clients, and hosts my website. I love the unlimited document sharing and feel good about the security of it all. I like that there is a large community of TD users, and I am part of a Facebook group where I can get answers to my TD questions. I like that TD employees are also in the group.

Cons

It was hard to learn how to build pipelines, and I'm still experimenting with best use of tags. I should have expected that learning curve though, and now that I'm on the other side, I am happy I put in the effort. I like that they have forums to submit suggestions for updates, but I wish the response time was faster.

I think TaxDome has been a blessing to our firm and workflow, especially when it came to tax season. The organization and flow of everything made things much more efficient saving in lots of time, organization, and headaches.

Pros

TaxDome is much more simple and efficient compared to some other softwares our firm has previously used. The learning curve was easy and didn't take much time to grasp a hold of, for that I am very well pleased with it. They have also been making useful updates which only makes it better.

Cons

Of the top of my head I can't think of something I don't like about TaxDome, If I had to be picky it would perhaps be the desktop app isn't to my liking. But I use the browser version anyways so it doesn't bother me.

We used W4TP to assist with set up and after our first tax season, we had a great experience!! Automation saved lots of steps and admin time as well as helped keep client communication going even when we were too busy!

Pros

The seamless way to integrate client information and jobs. AI and automation are a game changer & are possible with this product. The client communication was well received.

Cons

There are some billing and payment items that are not ideal. We would love more options for this section.

Creating meaningful reports can be a challenge. I'd like to be able to determine if I'm generating a profit after paying my contractors, but given that I bill in a variety of ways it's been difficult to create a report that properly tracks my billing and staff hours.

We use it all day. When it goes down, we are dead in the water. TD is used for all clients who seem to have no problems using it.

Pros

I am a user and not the owner so many things don't apply to me. I would however like to speak of what I would like to see. Secured documents and storage capacity is great!!!

Cons

1) Would like an easier time of dropping/dragging pdfs to/from TD. 2) We do have some speed issues where the app seems to be taking a long time to catch up.

overall good experience. I learned to use TaxDome through by employer and it is a great software for our company. We do 1500 plus returns. I also use it for my personal clients. I only have a few and it is great for them as well.

Pros

Easy to use and understand. Secure for my clients. I appreciate customer service and being able to reach someone or find my answers through the chat feature

Cons

Setting up the pipelines can get complex. A lot of features. I wish there was different pricing for simple features versus more complex features. I am a simple business with only a few clients so it is costly for me.

Pros

I love that I can see all of my clients information in one place (chats, emails, docs, etc). I also love that there is an app making it easy for clients to submit documents and initiate chats using their phones.

Cons

I wish Taxdome would integrate with my Lacerte tax software and allow me to print directly into Taxdome rather than having the added step of printing to a folder then uploading to Taxdome.

TaxDome revolutionized my practice. It allows me to easily automate organizers and engagement letters, and the reminder feature (for organizers, engagement letters and invoices) save me hours in and of itself. Clients also find it really easy to use, which is perhaps the most important factor with any client portal.

Cons

The automations don't allow for as much customization as I'd like. For instance, I can't create custom invoices tailored to each client's individual fee amounts, even with custom fees. This isn't a deal breaker, but if this functionality were added, this product would be the best tax practice management software on the market.

Pros

We like the client request and chat tools the most. This saves so much time that was previously spent sending the same emails over and over again to obtain client documents and other information.

Cons

We feel that the technical support is lacking in terms of the turnaround time on resolution of issues. We would put in tickets and then be told for days that it was being worked on, with us not having the ability to fully utilize the software in the meantime.

Customer support and the desire to improve the overall product while building a cohesive community of tax pros.

Cons

Some of the integrations could be expanded, but knowing tech im not sure i would count this as a negative but more of a "cant wait". I also feel the onboarding could have been a little more in depth explaining the features and pipeline creation
