We probably do not use RUN to the fullest as we do have other applications that we incorporate into the payroll process. Pros RUN's customer service is spot on every time I need them - no matter what the issue is at hand. They always have a solution for any issue I have arise. Cons We are unique in how we pay our employees and RUN is not as customizable in the actual payroll platform as I would prefer. CEO Education Management Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Not paying staff on time due to verification that went to spam" August 8, 2026 2.0 The customer service is good but they cant help you on a weekend. Meanwhile 20 staff members are without groceries and rent. Do not recommend at all. Pros I enjoyed the ease of payroll and the transparency for staff. I also enjoyed the clock in and out feature and the ability to call with a problem. Cons They did not pay my staff on time for a paydate of 08/08. I submitted payroll 08/06 at 5:48pm ESTwith a due date of 7:45pm EST. On that friday 08/07 they took payroll taxes $8k, workers comp $600, and their fees $153 out of my account. On Saturday morning my staff starts calling me saying they did not receive paychecks. I call ADP and they said "i paid out $33k when I normally do $25k so they sent me a verification of funds email". They have never done this before. I did not receive the email but found it in my spam. Their verification is now taking till Monday 08/10 so my staff is being paid late. I am calling 20 staff members to write them personal checks, wire them the money, or asking them if they can wait till Monday. ADP said why is there an $8k difference. I said "I hired more people. We ran summer camp. And I gave everyone raises. The biggest issue is you can see that! You are my payroll company. You have all this info, and yet you withheld paychecks from my staff on a weekend." For example, one of our processing fees was charged about two weeks after payroll, which was confusing at first. They are always available if I have any questions or concerns. All of my reports have been correctly filed and paid on time. It's been a true pleasure to work with the ADP team! Pros I've been using ADP Payroll services for several years now and I love that their customer service reps are so helpful and knowledgeable. They go out of their way to solve my issue on the first phone call, although, I must say I really don't have too many issues with them, it's usually something on my employee's side. Their pricing for their service is extremely reasonable compared to other companies. Processing my weekly payroll each week couldn't be easier. The process implementation steps are easy to follow. Their website is so user friendly. Their website interface makes it simple for you to navigate your account online but customer service is available 24/7 if you need them. There's no expensive software I needed to buy like some other payroll services, I just had to start an account with ADP so that was a plus for me. They inform me of any payroll deduction changes, (like Paid Leave) or tax changes that may be coming in the future right away so I can be prepared and, if necessary, notify my employees. Cons We pay on a live week schedule and our days are only 7.5 hours so I wish we could get to where we can change things in real time. would love a real time option at some point or a way to cross over so that mistakes could be dealt with in real time without my employees losing a pay week. It's been easy to use and a lot of communication, which is important to me. Pros It's very easy to use as the employer and employee. I like that I have a lot of control over things and pretty easy communication with any help I need. Every customer service rep is very helpful. Most of all, I love my rep - \[sensitive content hidden\] Cons ZipRecruiter doesn't get a ton of applicants. The pay structure doesn't work for sales companies very well - I have to onboard people as salary or hourly, even though they're not paid that way. This shows up on their check stub, which can be an issue. I also get really frustrated with the message that pops up every time I enter pay asking if I meant to pay the person that amount. It takes extra time and messes up the flow of entering payroll. I find the 401k website difficult to navigate and manage. It feels outdated, I can't usually find what I need. When we were initially getting it set up, the woman who essentially trained me was above and beyond my expectations for kindness, and knowledgeability. Since then, ADP has been there at 3am on a Thursday when I forgot to run payroll to help make sure my employees still get paid by Friday, they've provided compliance trainings and posters for my employees to make sure we're operating within state mandates and requirements, and they have allowed me to streamline my payroll processes and make them more efficient with the convince of generating specific and recurring reports. There are still many features I haven't integrated into my business' daily uses but I am excited to continue introducing them and making things even more efficient with ADP. Pros I love the convenience of access for myself and my employees. The way they can make their paystubs and W-2's electronic, while also viewing their weekly payroll information all from their phone is a game changer. The ability to have my weekly payroll summary reports automatically download has also streamlined our bookkeeping process as well! Furthermore, I have found myself calling customer support when I've either made a payroll mistake on my end or am seeing something I don't understand and their comprehensive availability hours have been so helpful. Cons The fees to run payroll are definitely more expensive than the previous service provider we used, however the benefits are substantially more. It is definitely a cost we have to budget for now, but I would say it's well worth it for the benefits we receive and the information/assistance we have available to us at all times. The few times I've had questions, they are quick to answer and provide all of the info I need. I log in using an admin email and have given each of my employees access through their own so they can get their payroll info and forms. Cons I don't have any issues with RUN Powered by ADP.
