Pros I love that it is easy to use, easy to see totals and keep track of absences and attendance and easy to navigate. Cons In order to see your totals there are a few places to click that you have to look for. I would like for it to be easier to locate. Pros What I like most about Frontline SIS is the ease of use. I also like the data management for school. Cons What I like least about front line is sometimes it glitches or just does not work like it should but that's not too often. EdTech Education Management ### "Frontline - a solid SIS with good reporting functions" 4.0 Overall Rating 4.0 4.0 Ease of Use 5.0 5.0 Features 4.0 4.0 Customer Service 5.0 5.0 Likelihood to Recommend 8/10 August 30, 2025 We use it for student attendance, data, demographic information & family contact information and grade reporting. It is reliable and able to generate all of the reports we need. Pros It helps us ensure that we are compliant with state reporting guidelines with respect to attendance and grade reporting for students. It was easy to set up and a switch from traditional grade reporting to standards based grade reporting was also easy to manage. Our teachers are also able to use it to report absences. Cons We manage discipline and log behavior reports on here and teachers have commented that there is not enough flexibility in how things are reported and it does not always fit the student. I like that it can be customized to do pretty much anything you need it to do regarding records and reports. Pros It is pretty user friendly. It does accurate work. I can trust that when I run a report it catches what I need it to. Cons It is difficult to work with multiple windows open. Cons A slow customer service, not an easy product to understand( took an 8 hour training and still did not understand), the easy of use, and none of the product talk to each other. Pros Great for a parent to be able to check in on your students work and grades right from your device. Allows you to log in as a parent and see exactly what your student has for grades and might be missing. Very helpful in that regard. Cons Sometimes it can be difficult or glitchy but that could be my phone. Nothing bad so far but have only been using it for a little. I no longer have to remember to click save. I like the ease of setting up different methods of calculating and excluding grades. The reports it generates are easy to make. My district only uses Progressbook for grade entering so I'm not sure about the other features. Cons Progressbook is sometimes slow to load or open new windows even when the internet works fine with other websites.
