Director Construction Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Easy to file MTD VAT return software" May 21, 2025 5.0 123sheets has helpful videos which I used to complete the VAT worksheet and the filing process was very simple. Pros 123sheets makes filing MTD VAT super easy. The setup is simple, and it works smoothly with Excel, so you don’t need to be a tax expert. It does the hard work for you, saving time and helping avoid mistakes. Cons One downside of using 123sheets is that the interface can feel a bit outdated compared to some newer tools. It’s functional, but not very modern-looking, and first-time. If you’re not comfy with Excel, the templates might feel a bit tricky at first. Review Source CM Caroline M. Pros 123 Sheets is a helpful programme for use in filing VAT returns. Once I had seen the introductory video I was able to file returns using 123 in minutes. Seemingly uninterested in customer service/customer retention. Therefore I would not recommend this company. - there are plenty of companies out there offering MTD services and at more competitive pricing so don’t risk falling into the same trap as me!! We respond actively to every one of our customers that need help. From our emails back and forth your issue was the price, not Customer Service. You had also been using our software successfully for at least the last six months, so you had no issue with the software either (at least none that you told us about). As we explained in numerous communications, our refund policy does not cover those that want to haggle on price because they found a cheaper deal elsewhere. Our pricing was made clear to you when you renewed the software licence (on-screen) before you entered your card details. We do not aim to be the cheapest; our goal is to maintain the best possible service for our users. Considering the quality of our service, we believe our pricing is highly competitive. I login into the Sheets123 website - download a VAT return sheet. I fill in the VAT nos on the sheet & save the file to hard drive. I then select & load the file onto the Sheets123 website, check the numbers and then log the file to the HMRC VAT website that is re set-up on the Sheets123 website. HMRC then confirms the correct filing Pros I was looking at a complete revamp on how I did my company accounting just to fit into governmental requirement to file VAT returns electronically. It was going to triple my costs and cause me anxiety in getting used to a whole new accounting system Cons It was a cheap quick solution that required minimal change & cost to me. Pros When I had to transition to making tax digital 123 sheets offered me an easy way to use my spreadsheets that were already calculated the work out all of the input boxes on my tax returns that I do monthly. This meant me now having to use expensive software as I already designed and built my own smart spreadsheets that essentially do the same job. Cons There is nothing I dont like. Ive never encountered a single issue. I'd like to see it stay as simple and easy to use. A lot of products are over designed these days. Reason for choosing 123 Sheets 123 Sheets allowed me to use my own sheets where I would enter all the information from all marketplaces separately. This was useful as I like to do my accounting daily so I knew what was coming and going on ebay, amazon, paypal and shopify and calc all of my taxes for each platform and combine them on one sheet. Pros The ability to map the figures in my Google Sheets VAT book to 123 Sheet's VAT box is straightforward, and made simple with their How-to Videos. When it said on the news that everyone not using digital tax has to change by the deadline this month, I was worried about wether I was already using sufficient digital software with 123 sheets.
