I managed personal and project tasks related to customer service and program development. It has been my most satisfactory engagement with a project management tool thus far. Pros Asana has a low learning curve to get an advanced level of productivity out of it. Rather then a clunky and slow loading menu-upon-menu project system, cards can be given the amount of complexity or simplicity required by the projects they are tied to. A well designed Kanban (which again is easy to do here) makes it easy to understand what a team is up against or accomplishing. The ability to make and add custom tags that can be applied to a card regardless of its project affiliation makes it possible to review a broad category of activity (like all changes to user permissions) to easily demonstrate change management (for example when doing a SOC II Type II evaluation). Cons The inability to assign a card to multiple users without having to duplicate the card is irritating. And while I can create the fields, a native "time spent" field on cards (even if it was initially hidden like the tags field) would be a welcome addition. Review Source JR Janessa R. Cons Some issues with dates when organising lists, where dates have to be managed manually, for example tasks divided up into monthly sections need to be moved into each month manually. I love how I can add a deadline to it to make sure I stay organized. I love making different projects for different stuff that I am in charge of to help our lane stay organized too Pros I LOVE Asana!! It is so helpful and useful. I love how it can help you be organized with all the the different settings. I love how you can keep your team in the loop with everything going on by tagging them in the project or task. It gives me the opportunity to add detailed to descriptions for my tasks, but it also gives me team insight on the progress for different projects. It's really helpful during end of quarter and other busy seasons for companies at all levels. On top of all of this, it's rather easy to use, with a simple, straightforward platform and system.
