### "improved organization and communication "

November 13, 2025

5.0

Overall, Asana has significantly improved organization and communication within our team. It helps everyone stay accountable and aware of priorities, deadlines, and dependencies. The interface is user-friendly, and features like automated workflows and visual timelines make managing complex projects much simpler. While it’s not perfect — particularly in pricing and multi-assignee flexibility — it’s a powerful, reliable platform that keeps our work structured and transparent.

Pros

Asana excels in flexibility — you can view projects as lists, boards, timelines, or calendars depending on your preference. It’s easy to assign tasks, set priorities, and visualize progress. The automations and integrations reduce manual effort, and the overall interface makes collaboration smooth and efficient. It’s especially strong for teams juggling multiple projects or working remotely.

Cons

Tasks can only be assigned to one user, which can be limiting for collaborative work. The pricing tiers can also get expensive as your team grows, and some advanced features (like time tracking or more detailed reporting) require third-party integrations. Occasionally, new users find the many features a bit overwhelming at first.

### "Good but I wish for better reports"

December 26, 2025

4.0

It's good overall but I wish the reporting were easier to get. Overall is a very good tool, with customization for dashboards and to organize the team structure.

Pros

It's good for ticketing and support, works for team organization and tasks tracking. I think is easy to create tasks.

Cons

The reporting is very complicated and I don't get exactly what I need even using the filters. I don't see which features I can use.

### "An Essential Task Management Tool!"

November 6, 2025

5.0

Asana is used by our marketing and communications team daily. Each project is laid out, scheduled, and assigned to the appropriate team members. This allows everyone involved to stay on task, easily communicate needs and edits, and deliver a high quality product effectively. Asana is an essential task management tool!

Pros

Asana is a great platform for working as a team and tracking projects together. I love the ability to set due dates and work toward those goals, to assign tasks to the appropriate team member, and to communicate within the platform.

Cons

Asana is a wonderful and effective tool, but if you are not tech savvy, there can be difficulties using it to its full potential.

### "Simple, Affordable, and Great for Small Teams"

February 26, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with Asana has been excellent and very positive. It’s a reliable, user-friendly project management tool that works especially well for small teams and growing businesses.

Pros

What I like most about Asana is how easy it is to understand and start using right away. The interface is intuitive, and there’s very little learning curve, which makes onboarding team members quick and seamless. It’s also very affordable for small businesses, making it a practical choice without sacrificing functionality.

Cons

The recent migration to the upgraded platform was a bit tricky, especially when it came to ensuring that everything transferred over smoothly. While manageable, it did require extra attention during the transition.

### "Helpful for Breaking Down Big Projects into Bite-Sized Components "

June 13, 2025

5.0

Overall a helpful organizational tool especially for writing down exactly "what needs to get done" for every component of a project and its execution, and you are able to update all those involved in a separate place instead of having to remember to update others in an email or meeting (which is totally doable, it's just nice to have a dedicated space for these kinds of things).

Pros

It is very clean and easy to use, especially intuitive considering how I was able to get started with adding details to projects, adding tasks, and looping people in. I appreciate that I and my team can add comments to our projects, give status updates, and assign different responsibilities to each other. Some tasks can even be created so that another needs to be done or completed in order for another to activate and start reminding you about it. I compeleted the training provided by Asana about best tips and practices and it opened up my eyes a lot more to just how many organizational features it offers. Since our org and my job works around a calendar year cycle, it's helpful to look back to previous cycles, deadlines, and things done to get a better sense of what is needed the next time.

Cons

I know there are many features that I have not dived into quite yet, and I believe my team uses many of the surface level components only (deadlines, goals, completion, projects, sharing responsibilities). I also wish there would be more collaborative assignments for tasks. I'm not sure if this is an issue on only my end, but I get signed out and have to update my Asana quite often.

Pros

Asana has advanced features that simplify the process of managing projects in our company. With Asana, we are able to schedule projects appropriately and ensure we meet deadlines. It has been an accurate project management software

Cons

Dislike has been functioning so impressively. Therefore, it will be unfair to complain about this amazing project management solution.

### "Asana helped to organize our projects"

June 3, 2025

5.0

Our project management before Asana was a disaster. Nobody could really follow the limitless spreadsheets and email chains applied to everything. Getting lost in the process was simple; but, causing delays was much more difficult. Everything changed since Asana arrived. Visual charts enable us to view everyone's work; automations save a lot of time. One clear instance was during the recent year-end project launch: Asana helped us to keep everything under control even though we had a thousand things running concurrently. Not losing yourself in the turmoil required constant ability to make corrections on demand. We cannot see managing projects without this tool today.

Pros

Until we tried it, I had no idea we needed an Asana. Its design caught my attention first: neat, aesthetically pleasing, and rather simple to grasp. The whiteboards are fantastic; they helped us to quickly arrange everything and let us personalize them anyway we wanted. Automation transforms everything: chores once requiring hours to finish now find themselves resolved. That improved the connection among my team and encouraged closer working. It is more than just a project tool; it's like having a proactive assistant at hand, needing no knowledge to run.

Cons

Even if it has been fantastic and error-free, occasionally you find that the platform slows down slightly when working on very large projects, including many real-time updates.

### "It does what we need for our agency tasks"

January 8, 2026

4.0

We use it to keep the clients from sending me emails constantly asking for updates since they can simply review the reports. It tracks the time so that the billing at the end of each month will not become an absolute nightmare when I am tired. I can see the workload for the developers, which is great so that I do not inadvertently assign too much and burn them out. It houses the documents in one location. All of the documentation is stored in one place, so I can locate the proofing files.

Pros

I normally just open the desktop app and leave it running while I search for my notebook amongst the invoices. There is an AI element to this version but I still mostly just use the template options so that I do not have to think about anything. The Support Person was helpful when I had issues with it, something I never thought would be possible. I am just happy that it shows the deadlines clear enough for the Team to actually see them.

Cons

The mobile app is extremely slow when attachments are large and basically unusable when you are trying to view both completed and active tasks simultaneously due to the filter settings. When I utilize the planning tool it creates duplicate tasks if I attempt to enter hours manually which then makes the entire list look like chaos and I have to go back and correct it.

### "Best Tool I Have Used"

May 19, 2025

5.0

I used Asana as a former owner/manager of the platform. Since using other tools, I think the Asana is the most applicable for a variety of use cases.

Pros

I like the sharing and restriction functionality the most. It is easy to give access to tasks, projects, and portfolios. It is also easy to exclude users access.

Cons

Reporting is not super intuitive. The reporting out of the box is not easy to manipulate. I would prefer that given the costs of the tool, I would want to spend less time trying to create reports and more time completing tasks.

### "🚨 Small Business Buyer Beware: Asana’s Rigid Billing Policy Is Outdated and Customer-Hostile"

July 9, 2025

1.0

If you’re a small business owner or solopreneur considering Asana for project management, think twice — especially before opting into an annual plan. I was just charged $265 for another year of a service I barely used and had actively tried to cancel last year. Because I no longer had access to the original email tied to my account, I couldn’t cancel at the time, and after a full week of back-and-forth to verify my identity and finally gain access, Asana still refused to reverse the charge. This experience has been frustrating and disheartening. I’ve been a customer for three years, but their support team was completely inflexible — even in light of the fact that: •The account was largely inactive, •I had tried to cancel previously, •And I reached out shortly after renewal. Many SaaS companies — especially those that understand the long-term value of goodwill — offer far more reasonable policies: •Notion, a challenger brand in the productivity space, provides pro-rated or full refunds if contacted shortly after renewal. •Basecamp, a best-in-class tool built by people who genuinely understand small business needs, has a simple policy: “If you’re not happy, we’ll refund you—even after months.” Asana’s approach, in contrast, feels outdated and overly focused on maximizing short-term revenue over user trust. That $265 may not mean much to a large enterprise, but for a small business? It’s a significant hit — especially for software that was barely used. I’ve now canceled my subscription. If you value fairness, transparency, and support that actually supports you — consider other options.

Pros

Project management features are in line with any average PM tool that you might imagine in the industry.

Cons

The company has a rigid and outdated customer service and billing policy that puts the company first and the customer dead last.

### "Asana is the GOAT for cross-departmental project management! "

August 25, 2025

5.0

Asana has helped our team to organize our projects in a cross-departmental manner, breaking them down into individual task tracking so that it's clear who's responsible for what at any given deadline. Asana has also helped our team to visualize project reporting in a more effective way.

Pros

Asana helps our teams track project progress cross-departmentally. This the implementation of Asana, we have streamlined our creative project management with visual representations that are easily consumed by any level of management.

Cons

The learning curve for Asana is pretty steep to reap the full benefit of its features and can have some limitations in the lower tiers. Asana also relies heavily on integrations to optimize its functionality.

### "Excellent Project Management Tool - Great for Team Collaboration and Organization"

August 8, 2025

4.0

Pros

The visual project organization and intuitive interface - I love how easy it is to see what everyone on my team is working on at a glance. The multiple view options (list, board, timeline, calendar) make it simple to track progress and stay organized. The collaboration features are excellent - being able to comment directly on tasks, tag teammates, and attach files keeps everything centralized. The integration with other tools like Gmail, Google Drive, and Slack saves tons of time.

Cons

The learning curve can be steep - some features aren't immediately obvious and take time to master. The pricing gets expensive when scaling up team members. Email notifications can be overwhelming and cluttered my inbox until I adjusted the settings. The mobile app doesn't have all the functionality of the web version, like copying tasks between projects.

### "Reliable and easy to use for task management "

October 19, 2025

5.0

I've had a brilliant experience with Asana - great for task management and overseeing content strategy and execution.

Pros

Asana is my favourite programme for project management, particularly if its content related such as social media planning or content strategy. It's super easy to use, has all the features you need for tracking tasks and projects with collaborative teams, and has great value for money. It's also really easy to use - normally only requires an hours' training for tech-literate colleagues.

Cons

No instant reporting as far as I know. We have to go in to tasks individually and pull the information we need manually and generate reports on how fast tasks have been done etc from that.

### "Powerful tool with a learning curve that is too steep for some team members"

January 22, 2026

5.0

Overall, once it was optimized, our team definitely saw an increase in efficiency by using Asana. The complexity did slow down some of our team and processes though.

Pros

Asana does a great job of helping a team stay on track with multiple projects and multiple workflows. When we used it, it eliminated the need for scattered spreadsheets and tracking documents and helped us create a central project management hub.

Cons

The learning curve was a bit steep for some of our team members and some of the automations and advanced features took quite a bit of time to lock in.

### "Asana Is A Great Product To Improve Workplace Productivity For Remote Workers"

April 3, 2025

4.0

I give it a 4 star review. I would provide a 5 star review. However, certain aspects of Asana are not the easiest to comprehend and the tutorials/learning courses don't always offer the easiest path to comprehend all of Asana's functionalities.

Pros

Asana is very interactive - which is excellent for a small/mid-size company where most workers are remote. It also combines well with other tools, including Gmail, Google Docs, and Harvest. It is an essential element of how we do work. Our team can organize tasks, communicate with each other about the status of tasks, and ask questions in a forum that optimizes productivity. I highly recommend Asana.

Cons

Asana can have its navigational challenges. There are a lot of aspects of Asana that take time and effort to learn. These components are not always intuitive. Asana's tutorial/learning courses are not always the most helpful. In fact, I've struggled to understand concepts and not been able to fully engage with every facet of Asana as a result. That's unfortunate (since I've been using Asana for multiple years).
