I prefer products like TEAMS, where the documents are linked into a workflow. Pros Relatively intuitive, good organizational structure. I like the task management tool for being able to assign tasks to a co-worker. And being notified when a task is completed. Cons I don't like that you have to go outside the product to access a document or spreadsheet. My team had a hard time using the most recent version of something. Not necessarily the product, hard to get everyone to follow the workflows. Once you set up a workflow, you can't change it. It easily connects with other services like Salesforce and Asana. It helps keep tasks and projects well organized and tracked, especially for large teams. The dashboarding features are great for reporting. Cons The on ramping to Asana is pretty steep. It has a lot of very specific functions, terminology, and infrastructural / design set-up that takes a while to get acclimated to as a new user. I became a certified Asana Ambassador because I believe so strongly in this product. I have used it extensively and rolled it out in multiple organizations. We have been able to accomplish some great automation and functionality that even Asana hadn't considered. Pros Asana has a short learning curve. It is easy to spin up an organization and get your teams trained. There is an ever-growing list of integrations that help to make Asana relevant. Cons The licensing structure is terrible. In order to leverage some of the great features, the entire organization must move up to the next level. There is functionality that would benefit project managers, that task executers don't need. Asana needs to create a role-based subscription model. Editor Online Media Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Asana for a Podcast" January 13, 2026 4.0 I would recommend Asana to anyone collaborating and needing a separate form of organization for work versus home. anyone who values true organization this might be one for you. my work calendar is very efficient. Pros I use Asana for Podcast project scheduling. The Ease of use between sharing information with a colleague of mine is an absolute must have. Its task tracking ability helps me maintain a timeframe that works with my already existing daily schedule. I manage multiple projects at a time with overlap so having those separated helps me finish all the details in time. For features, I leave off weekends as this is just for work purposes. I haven't needed customer support but I bet they are easy to contact if the need presents itself. I like the plan I'm on and don't feel the need to upgrade. I use the free personal plan and its worth it. Bigger organizations could benefit from a starter plan for 10.99 or an advanced plan for 24.99 a month. January 3, 2026 3.0 For the organisations I have worked within I have always recommended Asana within smaller organisations and enterprises to get projects started faster as onboarding is relatively easy and the customer support is exceptional in the initial stages with both technical and non technical queries but I have felt that it's not quite ready to take on the workload of larger enterprises. Pros I think with Asana it has a good user experience and makes it quite easy to use. The features are helpful and powerful for some very certain tasks. Relatively speaking it is quite well priced and the prices are effectively tiered Cons I feel with Asana some of there features don't go the extra mile and thus I find that it's an ideal software for a certain type of organisation or a certain size. It will work really well for small and medium organisations but for larger enterprises the product may not be entirely suitable. Pros I have used Asana for many years now in various companies. The times when it works best is when the company has invested in the setup and customising it. Some of the features I like are that you can customise the fields, easily duplicate projects, track tasks (with integrated time management tools if needed) and stay very organised across a team. Cons I think it can be quite expensive for a large team when you really want to customise it to make the most of the features. Deadlines are easy to set and there is amply fields to include details, updates, conversations and more. Cons Tasks, subtasks and subtask subtasks can quickly make a project overly complex. When that happens it is easy to get lost within a project, particularly when you have assignments in multiple, similar projects. We have managed to successfully integrate Scrum and Agile methods for visualisations and track everything in real time. The only caveat would be the lack of time tracking for individuals, just for the project itself. Pros The complexity of Asana is unmatched. It provided us with excellent visualisation tool and proper project data tracking, task tracking without any additional costs! Pros Some of my favorite things about Asana is it's intuitive interface and ease of use. I'm a bit ADHD, so I love all of the different ways that you can view your projects and tasks, which helps me stay engaged. Also, as a solopreneur Asana has the best free tier for project and task management. Cons I don't have many negatives. Personally, because I am a very visually oriented person, I would like to be able ti integrate images with my projects. It also helps us keeps things organized between the various teams and areas of work which helps everyone focus on what is in their work-stream. Cons Probably mostly and operator-error, but if things are not set up cleanly and organized in the beginning it becomes very cumbersome to try to shift a project around to organize it. I hate that. Admit the problem and fix it. Pros It can do a lot! Great for task management for a medium to large size team. We use it for everything. Cons There were a few things that seemed pretty inflexible that other similar softwares do - like assigning a task to more than one user.
