Pros There is no easier to use restream platform, and none are cheaper for value provided. The amount of services to which one can restream is best on market and restream chat is outstanding value for all streamers. Cons Only selected platforms are included in restream chat. The user interface with the dashboard occasionally does not display correctly when going back and forth between the chat and the dashboard. There have been no major complaints or issues. Have suggested it to friends and will continue to do so. Pros I like that this app can integrate multiple streaming accounts into one central location. It easily connects to other existing accounts. It let's you see chat from each channel or account. Easy to use on PC Cons There is some added delay to the stream, but not bad. The chat application can be slow. This is a minor annoyance for the viewers and me. There's are things like bot capabilities they are wanting and when I ask the restream team they are always very nice and helpful with what they are available to discuss but there isn't ever any content of what's upcoming. For technical issues their response time is great Pros The ability to be platform fluid and offer a solution to hits more viewers Cons There's several enhancements that are needed and it's not so much what is missing so much as it is the absence of communication as to what the team is working on to improve the product. Cons Upload stream sometimes isn't constant. This may be my ISP issue, however, I've notice when there's absolutely no error with my ISP, the Restream service starts to lose my connection/frames. Being able to hit to audiences at once has helped us push milestones for viewers and watch time on both platforms.. and for our followers who prefer one side or the other it is nice we give them the choice of where to watch. Pros I love that I can capture 2 audiences with one stream. I love that I am obtaining watch time and new followers on different platforms. Cons I am only using the FREE version so I am limited to how many platforms at once I can stream. Having more platforms avail, without doubling would be a great addition to the free. Pros I love the ease of use! You can set up everything via the website and immediately begin to stream! Toggling platforms on and off is simple and the user interface is easy to understand. September 12, 2019 5.0 Restream is really helping me expand my streaming presence by allowing me to have a setup that works with and broadcasts to all of the platforms that I use to stream. Its has save me quite a bit of time and head scratching by making it possible to control everything from one place. Pros To put it simply, Restream is one of the better multi-streaming apps/sites that I have tried out. As a begginning streamer, I want to get my streams to as many viewers on as many platforms as possible and using Restream, I can do that with little to no effort. Setting everything up to run was a breeze and once I made some adjustments to my internet connection, streaming is smooth as butter. Even on Facebook. All in all, if you are looking to expand your horizons with your streams, Restream is not a bad way to go about it. Cons The thing that I like least about this software is probably the learning curve involved. More than likely, that's more than likely operator error and is easily overcome by seeking help through the provided forums and technical support. Things are getting much easier as I learn so I'm sure those with more experience streaming wouldn't run into the same issues that I had. Reason for choosing Restream I have heard many more good things about Restream than most other services in regard to reliability and stability. Push notifications to people on social media that you are/ going to be live. Cons The least thing I like about the software is nothing, it’s beyond perfect and what is needed for the streamer. It has become an integral part of our streaming schedule and our viewers love the flexibility they have when it comes to watching on their platform of choice! Pros We love the ease and simplicity behind Restream's design; using the single-source stream key in an encoder like OBS, users need not have to choose to stream on just one service; they can stream on all of them. The chat app is also excellent for keeping track of viewer interactions anywhere they originate. Cons We do not like how certain streaming services like Facebook are gated off behind a subscription. Thankfully, Youtube and Twitch are available, along with many more. Additionally, the viewercount sometimes gets stuck in the chat app when using more than two services. Review Source JR Justin R. I love this program. Pros I loved the price and the ease of use. I can just set it up one time if I want and it works and integrates with any streaming software/hardware. Cons I think there can be more features. I'd like to do some slightly different type messages and templates in my stream. I don't like that it puts the "powered by restream" on all my streams. I think the Title and message areas could be easier to edit. Like have a date that changes every week, or a message with rules that you can apply. Maybe some kind of help in that area. I don't like editing my Title every week. Restream is a great app. Pros Functionality is great. The ease of use to invite guests and the amount of simultaneous channels you can stream on is almost perfect. To be able to save videos on the cloud before publishing on any channel is great to manage your content. Cons Instagram is not a channel supported, but that's because of IG, not Restream. October 22, 2020 3.0 I set up restream to multicast our church services. The original setup was easy and straightforward. However once we started using the service we noticed that they were branding our video comments with their brnad name. Only by paying for a much more expensive tier can you stop this. Since we do not wish to show any commercial affiliation in our broadcasts we found this unacceptable and had to move to Castr.io Pros It was easy to set up and use, and was natively supported by our streaming system. Cons We had to abandon Restream when we realised that they add their own name to your video comments. That can only be removed by paying for a much more expsive tier. Other streaming services are cheaper, more responsive and do not brand your comments. I think I would be a lot more stressed if I didn’t have restream to help me out. Pros First time using it I found it very easy to set up. Simple not simplistic to use for someone who’s a first time user. Allows you to stream line your socials to post at the same time which is really handy for streamers like myself. Cons The only real downs side I find is it doesn’t allow you to upload images along with social going live posts, which would be a real benefit if it did. Provides a chat interface that includes all your platforms and even allows chatters across different platforms to chat together with the relay included. Cons Restrictions with Facebook broadcasting, only allowing the ability to stream to a personal account on the free version, and doesn't provide the ability to chat with them either. You can even customize your titles & some descriptions directly within Restream, instead of going to every single platform individually. Very helpful as a content creator. Cons Sometimes things break & don't work as intended, but this seems pretty rare. However, it is annoying that you have to pay to stream to your Facebook public page.
