As soon as I decided to forgo affiliate and started multi-streaming it stopped working all together. Pros Works pretty well on the solo channel of streaming to only say twitch Cons As soon as you think of trying to stream across multiple platforms it looses usefulness, this may be a need to move to a higher paid tier to access that is not a good price point for only chat software. Pros I absolutely love the simplicity of this software . It’s ease of use is very clear though out daily use . I use this very frequently and I am consistently impressed by the quality and simplicity . Pros I love that I can talk to all of my subscribers and followers on multiple platforms at the same time, and set up the robot voice to have them all talk to each other while I play a game for their entertainment. Cons Sometimes ot freezes up and crashes without warning me. Freezing is quite annoying when watching only one window and it upsets the subs and followers saying that the chat broke. I have to stop everything O am doing to fix it before I can continue. I would stick to using it for too long, however. Pros Restream is a tool allowing users to stream to multiple livestreaming platforms to reach multiple audiences, such as on Twitch, Youtube, and Mixer. It supports a variety of different streaming programs, like OBS and XSplit, making the transition from a single streaming platform to multiple a breeze. Restream also has it's own web interface for livestreaming that is accessible and easy to use for newcomers. One benefit I saw using restream is the benefit of quality Youtube VODs, especially since Restream doesn't record footage for free. Restream also supports multiple chats, compiling chats from the different platform's that you're streaming to into one single chat for you to easily view, reducing the nuisance of trying to interact with users from these different platforms. Cons Streaming to multiple platforms inherently splits one's audience. Also, connectivity was sometimes an issue compared to just streaming directly to a platform, resulting in a long stream delay or stuttery video. Lastly, streaming to multiple platforms might be against your Terms of Service agreement depending on your status with a service, such as being a Twitch Partner. It helps me reach more audience because I can stream my live videos to all of my desired platforms at once. Pros Due to Restream Social Alerts, I don’t have to manually copy and paste the links of my live streaming - Restream does that automatically once I go live. The Dashboard is very simple and the onboarding process was very easy. Cons I am not a heavy user so all the features I am using, are quite satisfactory for me. As soon as I can budget & and the next sale (Like the Halloween sale) happens, I'll upgrade to include FB pages. Pros I do not have the bandwidth to stream to multiple services, nor the hardware to do so. They solve both of these problems easily and more. My latency is better since their servers are less congested than some of the other providers. Also, having a single point for all the communication from my fans and followers is fantastic. Cons I would like to stream for free to my facebook page as well, as it has many times the followers as my actual Facebook account. But I am considering upgrading as soon as I can to support their service. So many more than your streaming to via your 1 set audience. You can have a bot setup within Restream to repost all of your chats to other chats you are streaming to. So no one misses out on the conversation. I love this so much as a feature. My audience grew every single time I used Restream. Pros With Restream it's so easy to setup streaming to so many sights and when you have done the first setup that's it you are done. You can use Restream to edit all of the stream titles to all of your sites you are streaming to. I found these 2 things amazing and super helpful. Cons I have no issues with Restream at all just the Mixer API needing to be re-activated everyday and every other days. That's annoying. Review Source BW Brendan W. Pros This software allows content creators to reach many different viewers. It provides on centralized location to publicize what you are trying to stream and does it with ease and low latency. It also provides avenues such as social media awareness through twitter etc with posts and has options for chat. Cons I think restream can continue to work on their infrastructure, there are too many times to speak of during a 25 hour stream weekly occurrence that one platform fails to distribute our stream. Also with the chat functions it is extremely delayed and as a content creator makes it difficult to communicate timely with our viewers , so we have to use other means of chat services . I became Affiliate on Twitch, and because of exclusivity, I can't use it in the Mix anymore. I still just solo out to Twitch anyway though and works just fine. Pros Restream helped me get my gameplay out to 6 services at once, which was huge exposure and let me see where I could build an audience. It adds barely any delay to a stream and allows for good chat interaction. The dashboard function to title things all at once or individually is nice. Auto tweeting and posting to discord is also a major bonus. The chat works great too. Cons Used to be difficult to use, but had become much more functional. I wish they had more games to select from the drop-down list, just saves time. Ability to change the game on YouTube without having to go to the channel. Reason for choosing Restream Restream at the time had okay reviews but I was won over by its ease of use and chat app initially. It's only gotten better so I made the right choice. Cons I do not like that custom RTMP and streaming to multiple channels on the same platform is not possible without a subscription. However, I understand why this is. I am hoping to try FTL with mixer and see if delay works out better. Pros I love that once I set it up, it was extremely easy to toggle back and forth which channels I wanted to go live to. Cons It's a little pricey to level up just to get their info, tag off of whatever channel you're sending to. The delay sometimes feels unacceptable. We've had times where it was almost 30 seconds. Pros Restreams cross platform chat is a god sent I can interact with my viewers all in one location and not worry about missing peoples chats on any of the linked platforms. So easy to setup. From freelance esport casting to simple VOD storage, restream has always been spot on. Pros It sent a copy of my stream to any platform I wanted, The best part was that I could even send it to my own custom RTMP server. That way I always had a copy of my broadcasts. It also didnt add latency like when streaming via other sites and software. Cons The chat integration was a bit rough when it first launched but they have worked hard to resolve those issues. (Youtube Chat not relaying into the Restream Chat) Cons 1\. The chat is often janky and doesn't always work as intended. 2. Discord integration is often faulty. 3. No Android app for chat. 4. Web chat on mobile logs you out every time you multitask or turn off your mobile screen. 5. Facebook Gaming claims to be free, unless you're using a Facebook Page to keep your gaming and personal stuff separate. (Only free to Profile, not to Page) 6. It was exactly what I was looking for when I searched how to overlay my chat. Pros Having the chat imposed over my game is very handy. It keep me from looking away from my game to read the chat. Cons It has some quirks which make it difficult to learn and use. It frequently "forgets" the stream key which you don't know until you hit the Start Stream button. It will not function with no indication why until you realize it needs to update as sometimes there is no indication of an update. It does not include all aspects of chat. It's near effortless, which helps someone like me who doesn't have a ton of spare time to fiddle with things. Pros I like giving users a choice as to where they watch my content, but didn't really want to spend time and effort trying to make my own RMTP server. Thankfully Restream gives me pretty much all the options I could want, and its integrated chat program makes it easy to manage multiple chatrooms from one place. It's certainly made my life a lot easier overall. Cons Ping times sometimes don't make sense. Why do I get a better ping from Seattle rather than San Jose when I'm in Los Angeles. If you want to stream to multiple sites at once, restream is the way to go. It can allow you to stream to both Twitch and Youtube at the same time with no noticeable change in quality. - Easy to set up. Simple instructions and intuitive controls allow you to easily set up Restream with you streaming application, such as OBS, make it easy to set up multiple streams. - Nice chat interface. Once Restream is set up you can also use the chat service it provides which combines all your chats from the sites you stream to, into one useful chat window. Cons Cons: - If there is a problem with Restream you will not be able to stream to any of the sites you have set up through it, and will either have to wait until the problem is resolved or set up connections outside of it. - Some errors that come up are not clearly explained our how to resolve them, but as the software is relatively new this could be fixed in the future. Save yourself some time you don't want to be hunting around for your logins. You can easily change stream title and game for all targeted platforms easily.
