## What is OhMD?

OhMD is a HIPAA-compliant omni-channel patient communication platform for physician practices. It reduces high inbound patient call volume by bringing AI-driven and human-led conversations together across text, phone, and web in a single unified inbox. OhMD uses a hero-in-the-loop model. AI handles routine patient requests such as scheduling, call deflection, and common questions. Staff can step into, respond to, or take over conversations at any time from the same platform. Unlike messaging-only tools or standalone voice AI solutions, OhMD combines secure texting, calling, and AI voice into one system. It is currently November of 2025. We have been complaining to OhMD support since February of 2025 regarding extreme glitchiness to the point we can barely us it. They keep respond that they are working on it but never fix it or provide any solutions. The lack of support and communication is so unprofessional. We then let them know we would not like our subscription automatically renewed because we plan on trying something else and still have yet to receive a response after a month of sending that email. I do not recommend at all.

Pros

I honestly can say there was very minimal things I liked about OhMD. It is unorganized and does not have nearly as useful features as other websites.

Cons

Glitchiness, bugs problems, log in issues, error messages, constantly logging you out, lack of communication with support staff

Overall we were happy with OhMD. They have great customer service. Offering a texting platform to our patients really helped with patient management.

Pros

OhMd was easy to use and integrated into our EHR system which was very helpful for documentation purposes

Cons

Mostly the cost. There were some features we were looking for that were not offered by OhMD. We were able to get more features for less cost with another company

I love this product. I recommend it to other colleagues. It has been great overall.

Pros

I loved that I was able to text with clients and still be HIPAA compliant. That we can upload the texting to my online platform to save the records. Plus that it is free for me and the clients.

Cons

Some users do not like it because it is a separate app. I can't figure out a way to delete old clients from my records. At times it seems to freeze. I then just sign out and sign back in which fixes it. I was told that I need to upgrade to a newer version, so that may be my problem.

It was HIPAA compliant and free. No one else I found compared to that.
