The customer support always gets back to us and allows for easier feature implementation Cons The system is great across the board. We kept switching between AWS and self hosted, each with some benefits and disadvantages, but overall ok. Cons Some features require modifying config files instead of being available in the portal and the whole admin portal isn't the most polished piece of software, but really the admin portal is rarely used in prod so it doesn't really affect anything. The Community Edition gave me everything I needed to get started with real-time streaming, and it performed better than expected. Because of that, I’m planning to upgrade to access more advanced features and scale my projects further. Pros Low-latency streaming works really well and is reliable. The Community Edition already includes a lot of useful features, which made it easy to test and build projects without upfront cost. Setup is simple, and the web interface is straightforward to use. WebRTC performance is especially impressive. Cons Some advanced features are only available in paid versions. So far, I’m very pleased with its stability, and I’ll soon see how ANT Media Server performs in a real-world scenario. I’ll have the test setup ready next week, and I don’t expect any issues. Pros I used AI to find a solution for a low-latency, high-quality video streaming setup. I quickly settled on ANT Media Server in combination with an Akamai VPS. Since I don’t need the media server very often, I really appreciate that I can choose a plan where I only pay for uptime by the hour. This keeps the service flexible for me without incurring costs when I’m not streaming. The customer support is also great. I feel like I’m taken seriously as a customer, even though I’m on a pay-per-hour subscription. Cons I did run into some issues setting up AMS, because I simply don’t have enough knowledge about streaming to understand all the protocols. Very interesting is the Webrtc mode with data channel that we use both for real-time live events and to build a proprietary videoconferencing infrastructure Pros Antmedia server is an easy to configure and very reliable platform. It is also possible to build an autoscalable cloud configuration, very useful to optimize costs when you have events with peaks of concurrency Cons I don't see any disadvantages. Pros I had a small issue, our SSL certificate did not renew, this prevented us from streaming webrtc. I sent an email to support and they responded quickly. It was handled within 24 hours. Cons I have not had any real issues, support is as good as you can get. If there was one issue, it's speaking to a live person. You know you are in a panic, your system is down who to you call?
