Very happy, at first was a little worried but it is very easy to use. We use Textura a lot but rather use GCPay.

Pros

GCPay is very straight forward and user friendly. You can tell what is needed. Great support, answers the phone right away and very knowledgeable and helpful.

Cons

Wish GCPay had electronic signing like Docusign, then you won't need to edit or scan documents that needed signing.

Compared to the other Construction software, for me it is okay. It will be great if we have provisions to edit or can-do adjustments from contractor side.

Pros

Easy to use. We can find all the documents in the same platform. It is a value for money product.

Cons

We can't do editing from Contractor side. Once the subcontractor submit the Price, Contractor needs to do assessment and do some adjustments, if necessary, which is not possible.

I truly find GCPay to be the easiest online pay application software. Auto generates your pay application. Easy to navigate the site and upload your required documents. I like the Audit Trail feature so you can track your project's payment status.

Pros

Very user friendly. Little to no learning curve for use. I like that it auto generates the pay applications for you.

Cons

Not enough of our GC use it. It would be nice if there was a way to notarize online similar to the Oracle Textura Payment Management system.

Marrette, This is so great to hear, thank you for sharing it. “Little to no learning curve” is kind of the dream, right? Glad the auto-generated pay apps and navigation are making things easier. And the Audit Trail callout, huge. Being able to track payment status without chasing people down really matters. On notarization, appreciate you raising that. GCPay does offer Remote Online Notarization through Notarize.com, so you can click “Notarize,” connect with a live notary 24/7, e-sign, and have the document automatically routed back into your pay app. No printing or in-person steps, and it’s compliant in all 50 states. Thanks again for the thoughtful feedback…really helpful.

On occasion the points of contact responsible for responding to invoices do not respond quickly ( this is not a problem with the platform itself)

I would much rather all contractors utilize GCPay rather than other products like Procore and Textura.

Pros

GCPay is very easy to understand, learn to use, and utilize. It is a great value for our money. It is very secure as well.

Cons

I would like to be able to tab (or enter) through my SOV when submitting billing to a contractor, instead of using the mouse to click for each billing value.

I find it very easy to use, very convenient for tracking projects and paperwork. The dashboard is great to see what is due. Would like for contractors to have to indicate when an billing has been paid.

Pros

The dashboard to see whats due is very helpful, also clicking to sign instead of printing or using excel is amazing.

Cons

Some of the displays to see whats been submitted could be more clear, also something that the contractor has to signal when the invoice has been paid would be helpful.

Overall, I would implement and pay for GCPay again and again. It has streamlined our payment processing and we couldn't be happier.

Pros

As a GC we can appreciate the security and user friendliness of GCPay. It allows us to receive pay applications from subcontractors and submit payments to subcontractors with ease and without having to manage the financial information. The system is setup to be easy, so the learning curve is very minimal. We use the compliance system to track all of our pertinent documents, including contracts and insurances. The support that is provided by GC Pay is first class. We have never had to wait longer than 20 seconds to receive a representative to help with our needs. It has definitely been money well spent.

Cons

At the time we purchased GCPay, the tiered vendor portion of the software was not what we expected, but we are still very satisfied with the development and growth they are making in that area.

### "3+ years in with GCPay"

It took a lot of time to get used to. The 1st projects that were converted over to GCPay with "catch-up' billings were disasters. ALL of the contractors had inconsistencies with the retention. Lines were off from .01 cent to .30 cents and had to be "adjusted" each month until we broke even. I hated it at first. There was no time saved in comparison to our old system until we got to the new projects. SOVs were entered onto a clean slate and numbers could be trusted.

Pros

I appreciate that the responsibility for billing is placed back on the subcontractor. I can set a due date and the system issues reminders for both billing and compliance requirements. The option to require certain documents prior to them being able to submit is top tier. I am not stuck sending out threats of non-payment each month for the items I need.

Cons

I do not like that the unconditionals must be signed up front. I have spent time convincing the subs that we will not run away with their signed unconditional without paying them. They are very leery of it the first time around. It would be helpful if there was a disclaimer or explanation to them PRIOR to signing. They only get the watermarked copy after they have signed.

### "Keeps our billing organized"

GC Pay is easy to use and keeps our billing organized. It's the billing platform that I prefer using.

Pros

Pay apps don't get lost or misplaced. If a change order is written after retention has been billed, there is no confusion about whether I need to re-submit retention app.

Cons

The general contractor name is not on the Projects Page list of projects. It would be helpful when I'm looking for all of the projects for a certain general contractor.

I LOVE GCPay! It's rather painless and easy to learn, it streamlines a lot, GCPay Support is AMAZING, they are ALWAYS quick to respond (via email), or immediate via phone. If there is ever an issue, or question, or you would like something tweaked or possibly added, our rep has always been very responsive.

Pros

I love the ease, simplicity and automation of lien waivers. I love that you are able to upload your own wording/version, per project basis, that you can require a notarized copy or not, and that subs get alerted and can quickly and effortlessly e-sign. I also cant talk enough about GCPay's AMAZING customer service!!!!

Cons

This is probably a blessing, but sometimes I wish the admin had more access or capabilities, that only GCPay rep's can do. For example. Reject a payapp after the GC approved.

Customer service has been amazing for both myself and the subs that have to reach out for assistance. They are quick to respond and resolve the issues that may arise.

Pros

User friendly setup for Contracts and subcontractors. It's a time saver when having access to look at all subs in one spot.

Cons

The ability to filter subs on home sheet to lock the the filter so you don't have to search and filter the subcontract each time you go back to the home page.

Overall I like GC pay. I like it better than Textura and this is based on being user friendly and information is easy to see.

Pros

GC Pay is user friendly. Easy to navigate tabs for payment and billing and compliance. The audit trail is useful for me because it allows me to communicate with others rather than email or phone.

Cons

There are not as many notifications sent out like the Textura the counter part to GC pay. For example if a job is missing a document or billing I don't always know until I open the site and do a review.

Very good. I tell GCs that is is easy to use for subs. I get a lot of invoices submitted quickly which is very convenient for my job.

Pros

It is very easy to use as subcontractor. Inputting invoices is super quick. If something gets rejected, it is very clear. I also like how we can input our own job numbers next to the GC job number so we can locate a job quickly.

Cons

I have had issues with either not receiving important notifications then issues with receiving too many notifications.

90% positive. Pausing workflow in the submission process to execute physical documents in 2026 is a little behind the times.

Pros

Ease of navigation as well as audit trail of all submitted documents. You can track all submitted invoicing across a project. You are able to have a real-time notification of all requested revisions and submission(s).

Cons

The notary process. Some companies offer an electronic signature and stamp. We have to print out all documents and upload. In a portal like Textura you can sign electronically.

I prefer using GC Pay over all other portals except for Textura only because of the need to print docs.

Pros

Billing is very easy and setting up the SOV is as well. The documents I need are easy to find and download.

Cons

I really cannot think of anything negative but it would be nice if I did not have to print out any of the paperwork to sign or notarize like in Textura that is fully electronic.

Easy to navigate, \[sensitive content hidden\] at GCPay is very helpful and replies quick whenever i need help with anything. System is secure. Easy to process payments to our 300+ vendors. Easy for our vendors to bill us as well we've had minimal issues and when we have issues it only takes about 10 minutes to resolve because of how simple the platform is to use. contractors aren't able to bill without compliance being up to date so we have no worries about paying vendors who aren't up to date.

Cons

Sometimes it is hard to have multiple people approve different vendors due to everything falling under the same scope of work. however it is not too bad as we have 26 different vendor classes to pick from so we can move the workflows accordingly

Pros

GCPay is one of the more user-friendly programs in the industry. It is easy to learn and manage. I have used several of the competitive software's and this is by far my favorite. It is very straight forward.

Cons

I don't always get the notifications. I do think that is something on the initial set up that I am not doing correctly.

Overall I would say there are more positives than negatives. I don't mind this platform. I really like Textura, and really despise Procore. I feel GCPay is easy and would rate it my second favorite platform.

Pros

It's pretty easy to use for subcontractors. Uploading SOV's is easy, uploading compliance documents is easy, overall very user friendly.

Cons

When submitting required documents, there is a lot of excessive clicking, submit, okay, okay, done...etc. It just doesn't seem to end!

GC Pay works great and helps streamline the billing process. I value the tracking information it provides, as well as the automatic AIA formatting.

Pros

GC Pay helps deliver clear and useful tracking information on projects, making tracking job payments easy. Also having the option to have your waivers notarized immediately makes the process quick and efficient. Majority of our builders use GC pay for billing, which makes GC pay our one stop shop. The automatic AIA forms being filled out for you as payments are being made and also tracking change orders is a huge plus.

Cons

Overall, everything works great for the user. The only thing I would recommend would have a drop-down menu under projects for completed section and in progress for a shortcut.

### "Love using GC Pay compared to other programs !"

Pros

The ease of use and when you don't know how to do something or need an answer, the help chat feature is the best ! Very responsive, very helpful !

Cons

It was a little hard at first to get the hang of some things, such as being able to upload and approve certificates of insurance or required waivers.

Switched from
