“The first thing that drew my organization is was an MDM provider that is focused first and foremost on supporting our Apple-based ecosystem of devices - and Iru from day one has excelled at that. But as time has gone on and we have remained extremely happy customers, the platform has expanded to meet not just our Apple device management needs, but now cover our EDR needs, our vulnerability reporting, management for the few windows and android devices in our fleet - all while remaining easy to use, easy to navigate to where we need to go quickly, and constantly adding new quality of life features.“

“Also some shortcomings for their new ID management solutions as it only supports 100% SSO application set up without extra password management functionality for non SSO enabled app. Where for example providers like OKTA do offer a solution for.“

### "Excellent Product for MacOS Device Management \*\*\*\*\*"

February 12, 2026

5.0

I would recommend this product to any company using MacOS. We moved from using Intune from MacOS devices to Kandji with a focus on security and have not looked back. The Onboarding was exceptional with knowledgeable staff able to assist us with our initial blueprints and configurations. When things have not worked or we have required support the support team and really responsive and resolve issues fast. Overall this is a product i would not be without.

Pros

Simplified the Process of Management of MacOS devices for a team that was more windows based. Onboarding was really quick and easily with excellent hands on support. Support response and resolution times are really good too. The whole product is intuitive and easy to use.

Cons

Alerts and clearing alerts is a pain. We see some alerting for some devices where through for example apps are already deployed before onboarding and the software can not be installed. It would be really nice if these could be cleared easily or "ignored" in the UI.

### "Amazing Device Management with Strong Automation"

June 11, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with has been amazing! It’s a reliable and efficient platform that simplifies device management and reduces the day-to-day workload for IT teams. The ease of use and automation features make it particularly well-suited for small to mid-sized environments or organisations looking to streamline their tooling. That said, for more complex environments requiring deep integrations or highly customised reporting, there are still some limitations. Despite that, it delivers strong value and covers the core requirements perfectly.

Pros

The standout feature is how easy is to deploy and manage. Onboarding devices is very straightforward, and the automation (particularly blueprints and zero-touch deployment) saves a significant amount of manual effort. The interface is clean and intuitive, making day-to-day management efficient without needing deep training. Another big plus is how updates and ongoing management are handled. Much of the patching, policy enforcement, and configuration happens automatically in the background, which reduces the need for manual intervention and helps keep devices compliant without constant oversight. Device management is strong and it gives good visibility across the estate. Customer support has also been responsive when needed, which makes a big difference for operational confidence.

Cons

While the core functionality is solid, some areas feel less mature than more established platforms. Reporting and filtering could be more flexible, and there are limitations when it comes to integrations, particularly in more complex or Microsoft-heavy environments. Naturally, it also feels slightly more tailored towards Apple-first setups, so mixed-device environments may not get the same level of depth or control compared to other enterprise tools. But I know they are workign hard to bring other device platforms into line with their Apple management offering.

Whilst Intune does a basic job, it was too clunky and very unreliable. I was spending more time trying to figure out why updates weren't being completed and eventually lost faith in its ability to manage the assets properly.

### "Mandatory Review"

January 9, 2026

3.0

Contract management continues to be messy, often incorrect, late renewal notices, incorrect quotes, etc.

Pros

provides comprehensive endpoint protection with broad coverage across devices, helping reduce risk and centralize security management.

Cons

Contract management is consistently problematic, with frequent inaccuracies, delayed renewal notices, and incorrect quotes that require follow-up.

### "all in all, it´s very good"

March 16, 2026

4.0

My overall experience with has been very positive. I use it frequently and enjoy working with it. The interface is clear and easy to understand, which keeps the learning curve low. Value for money is solid given the quality of the product and the responsive customer support. The ease of use is one of its strongest points, and device and client management features work reliably. The main area for improvement remains the activity/audit log and its filtering capabilities.

Pros

What I like most about is the intuitive user interface, which makes daily work straightforward and efficient. On top of that, the support team is impressively responsive and knowledgeable — issues get resolved quickly, which is a huge plus.

Cons

The activity log remains a significant weak point. It is very difficult to search through — there is no simple way to filter by keyword or by user. For example, if an admin performs an action in the console, you often cannot find any trace of it in the activity view. This makes auditing and troubleshooting unnecessarily cumbersome.

Compared to alternatives, Iru struck the right balance between functionality and ease of use — it didn't feel bloated or overly complex. ### "Powerful simplicity"

April 23, 2026

5.0

Overall it's a great product suite, and now really the only option I would consider for Apple device management.

Pros

The product is simple to use but very powerful for device management, vulnerability scanning and EDR. Automatic patching of both operating systems and applications make security compliance easy. When needed, the support team are very responsive and helpful.

Cons

Occasionally we have issues with vulnerability alerts not clearing correctly after patches have been applied. The support team can usually help to resolve these issues, but hopefully over time we'll see fewer occurrences in the first place.

### "Effortlesss AIO MDM package"

June 11, 2026

5.0

Easy setup, very straightforward migration from our old platform. Very receptive and helpful support/customer service users. Never spoken to anyone who was anything other than a delight to engage with.

Pros

Extremely easy to use MDM for device management. Autoapps are a godsend that make managing software version control as frictionless as possible. Expensive but well worth the money in my eyes!

Cons

Control over unwanted apps is something I feel could do better. Considering it does a full scan of softwares on devices, it would be really nice if we could view a centralised form of all softwares across the estate to understand what is being used outside of our preferred scope.

### "Solid IT Asset & License Management Platform with Strong Automation Capabilities"

May 14, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with has been positive. It provides solid visibility over assets and licenses and significantly reduces manual tracking efforts. It is particularly useful in structured IT environments where compliance and reporting are important. With continued improvements in usability and integration flexibility, it has strong potential to become even more competitive in the IT asset management space.

Pros

What I appreciate most about is its ability to centralize asset and license management in a clean and structured way. The automation capabilities are very useful, especially for IT environments with multiple servers, virtual machines, and different licensing models. It helps reduce manual checks and improves visibility across infrastructure. The dashboard is intuitive, and reporting features are particularly helpful for audits and compliance reviews. Alerts and notifications also provide good operational awareness. Customer support has been responsive and technically competent when needed.

Cons

Some advanced configurations require a bit of initial learning, especially when integrating with external systems. The UI could be slightly improved in terms of customization and filtering options for larger environments. Occasionally, documentation could be more detailed for complex use cases.

is a fantastic product. its simple and quick. user friendly to users and admins alike, Iru combines great UI with a high technical ceiling to get companies enabled, deployed, and engaged.

Pros

I love how easy it is to use and how quick the tool is to deploy. the self service options are fantastic for our employees as well.

Cons

i really wish it had a remote manager/ remote access feature. this is something that can really push a lot of admins to buy the software. additionally, i wish there were more intermediate app deployment options for users and an ability to notify a user when they have a new blueprint or app. finally, i wish they had better custom PPPC configuration options on mac.

### "Effortless MDM with Seamless Out-of-Box Provisioning"

December 4, 2025

5.0

is solving our biggest challenge of maintaining a consistent security and compliance baseline across our rapidly growing fleet of Apple devices. It allows us to remotely enforce encryption, install critical security updates, and deploy required applications automatically. Crucially, Iru has made our device provisioning entirely hands-off. We can now simply ship a brand-new device directly to a user, and it automatically enrolls, configures, and secures itself right out of the box (OOBe) using Kandji's integration with Apple Business Manager. The immediate benefit is a massive reduction in manual IT workload, significant time savings for the IT team, and a reliable way to ensure zero-trust alignment for all endpoints, regardless of the user's location.

Pros

The ease of use and intuitive interface of are exceptional. The platform allowed us to achieve full device management for our Mac and iOS fleet incredibly fast, making the Ease of Implementation a major upside. We especially appreciate the one-click actions, pre-built Blueprints, and how straightforward it is to deploy apps and enforce compliance. Their Customer Support has also been responsive and extremely knowledgeable whenever we've needed assistance.

Cons

While there's very little to dislike, we are looking forward to the continued expansion of features, particularly for advanced Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) capabilities and deeper integration with other core security platforms we use. This is a minor point, as the platform is already excellent for our core MDM needs.

Alternatives considered

[Jamf Pro](https://www.capterra.com/p/164492/Jamf-Pro/)

Reason for choosing Iru

We chose over competitors like Jamf and general UEM tools primarily because of its Apple-first simplicity and competitive pricing. Iru offers a comprehensive feature set for macOS and iOS management—including fantastic zero-touch provisioning and integrated security tools—but with a much more intuitive interface and significantly lower total cost of ownership compared to Jamf Pro. The ease of setup and the ability to maintain compliance without extensive manual scripting or specialized certifications made Iru the clear winner for our small IT team.

### "Excellent MDM for Mac-heavy organizations"

July 23, 2025

5.0

When I look back at my overall experience with Kandji, what stands out is how dependable it’s been for managing our Apple devices. From onboarding and offboarding to the day-to-day maintenance, the platform gets the fundamentals right—it saves time, doesn’t add unnecessary friction, and just lets IT do what it needs to do. That sense of reliability is something you don’t always get with MDMs, especially at scale. I also appreciate how focused their team is on constantly improving, keeping up with macOS updates, and even hinting at bigger things like Windows support. You definitely notice their bias toward the Apple ecosystem—the product feels like it’s built for Mac-heavy shops, and that’s why it fits so well for us. The platform does what’s advertised, keeps getting better, and takes a lot of stress out of device management. For anyone prioritizing a solid Apple-first MDM, Kandji’s been the right call.

Pros

What I liked most about Kandji was how reliable it’s been for managing our macOS fleet. In comparison to other MDMs we’ve tried, Kandji just works—especially when it comes to the essentials: onboarding, offboarding, device lifecycle, and day-to-day operations. The experience has been smooth for both IT and end users, and it’s saved us a ton of time. I also appreciate that Kandji is always iterating (like with plans for Windows), which makes it feel like an investment that keeps paying off. Overall, its steady performance and focus on the Apple ecosystem made it the right tool for our environment.

Cons

What I liked least about Kandji was that, for all its strengths with macOS, there are still areas where it falls short—mainly with flexibility and breadth. Some of the policy customization feels a bit rigid, especially if you want to go beyond what’s offered out of the box. Integrations with certain security tools aren’t as plug-and-play as you’d hope, which sometimes means more manual work or creative problem-solving to get everything working together the way we need. While Kandji definitely nails the Apple ecosystem, that laser focus can come at the expense of features or integrations that competitors handling multiple operating systems might offer. Basically: it’s great at what it does, but you do feel the limits if your needs start to branch out.

### "Switching to Kandji/Iru"

November 18, 2025

Pros

I was first attracted the ease of use, but later also fell in love with the update and patch management structures. The customer support is outstanding and for me, the switch to has been good value for money. Cons

### "Reliable, Modern, and User-Friendly Apple Device Management"

October 1, 2025

5.0

Overall, Kandji has been an excellent solution for managing our Apple fleet. It has streamlined IT operations, simplified onboarding, and provided peace of mind around security and compliance. The product continues to evolve in meaningful ways, and it’s clear that the team listens to customer feedback. I’d recommend it to any organization looking for a reliable and modern Apple device management platform.

Pros

Kandji makes Apple device management incredibly smooth and intuitive. The automation around app deployment, compliance enforcement, and OS updates saves a significant amount of time and reduces manual errors. The zero-touch deployment is excellent for onboarding, and the admin console is well-designed, clear, and easy to navigate compared to other MDM solutions. Support is also responsive and knowledgeable, which adds a lot of confidence when running it at scale.

Cons

While it’s very strong on Apple management, there are moments where flexibility is limited. Some advanced workflows require custom scripting rather than being natively supported. Reporting could also be more detailed, and integrations with third-party tools sometimes feel less robust than what competitors offer. Pricing is also on the higher end, which might be a consideration for smaller organizations.

### "Kandji, the best Apple MDM I have ever seen"

October 8, 2025

5.0

Great! No issues. If there are issues their customer service team is onyl a chat box away. The turnaround time is always commendable.

Pros

User-friendly and comprehensive in what we want to do as a consulting company. The ability to push custom solutions through Kandji is an additional plus as a technical team, that is something we do day to day. A plus to it is also its ability to identify devices that are misconfigured, out of date in terms of updates and correct them whether automatically or through interaction from us. How could I forget this? The customer service is absolutely top tier! If anything, that is the one thing that will always be the difference maker between similar products. We value a top tier customer support team and that is Kandji!

Cons

Addtional pricing options for smaller companies. The minimum amount of devices per company should be revised as often times companies have far less apple devices vs let us say a Windows and Androdi devices.

We didn't have to ask for customer support ever, except for expanding the licenses. The truth is that we configured once, and didn't have to configure too much. Also I like the monitoring of Mac versions to keep everything updated

Pros

Self servicing and managing the devices is pretty easy. Also, integrating with third parties and applications. The model of different roles worked very well with our different project setups

Cons

### "Very Happy With Kandji. Excellent MDM"

September 10, 2025

5.0

Our experience with Kandji has been excellent. Everything works as expected without hassle! When I push commands or scripts through Kandji, it has the expected logs too. Support is an absolute bright part of the Kandji offering, with chat and knowledgeable reps who are happy to help and give a hand. Definitely a much better option than email based support, which can be common in MDM.

Pros

Kandji is quick to learn, great at managing Apple devices and doesn't take a lot of time. I've played with quite a few MDMs and most require a significant learning curve, with hidden surprises that impact users, and the admin is just supposed to somehow learn it.

Cons

I don't really have anything negative to say about the Kandji product. There is definitely room for new features or integrations, but the current setup is very solid.

Switched from

[Addigy](https://www.capterra.com/p/154787/Addigy/)

Our previous vendor was pretty good, but was more complicated to manage than Kandji, especially the app library. We couldn't just set it up and basically forget it, we had to regularly apply new versions of apps as they appeared in the library, instead of just automatically updating within a set schedule. Addigy isn't a bad MDM, it just wasn't the best fit for a lean team.

has saved us a ton of time maintaining our fleet while ensuring we are secure in today's world. Support is always quick to respond and very helpful. Our end users were really happy with how easy it was to migrate over, and they love the Kandji self support portal.

Pros

Patch management. Saves tons of time both on the application and the OS side. Device management. Easily ensure secure deployments and the ability to meet compliance requirements while being a very small internal team.

Cons

Some edge cases with custom app creation can be annoying. I'd like to be able to upload a folder with a pkg file and run it, as they need the context of additional files. However, this is something that can be worked around, and is more of an edge case.

### "IRU Works Well from time of Install"

November 4, 2025

5.0

was one of those products that worked from the time of install. I tried other products and even broke a contract with another MDM vendor because I disliked the product so much. IRU was easy to setup and worked right away. I have never wanted a feature it did not have, and I can always trust that it is working correctly. I love products like that. Not too complicated and work from the beginning without tons of customization.

Pros

is designed from the groud up with Apple products in mind. I like this. It means that the policies you can set work very well and are very clear. It just works very well.

Cons

When it comes to MDMs, you get a decision point on using multiple products that are very good at what they do with a particular device type or trying to use one product that does all products just ok. I took the multiple product route and use for Apple devices and another MDM for Windows devices. Both work very well.

Meraki was fine but was not feature rich and Jamf was too much customization for what I needed.

### "Simple and Reliable macOS Device Management"

January 28, 2026

5.0

Overall, our experience with has been positive. It’s a solid solution for managing and securing macOS devices, and it’s been reliable for our day-to-day needs. Support has also been responsive when we’ve needed help.

Pros

makes it easy to manage our macOS devices without a lot of overhead. Enrollment is smooth, policies are straightforward to configure, and the interface is easy to work with day to day. It does what we need without getting in the way.

Cons

Pricing can be a bit high as the environment grows, and some advanced features take a bit of time to fully explore, but nothing that has been a blocker for us.

Reason for choosing Iru

We chose because it was easy to use, quick to deploy, and felt like the best fit for managing our macOS devices.

### "Good experience !"

January 21, 2026

5.0

I've been using for about three years now. From the first time I used it until today, I've been delighted with the product. It's intuitive to use, the features are relevant, and the support/sales teams are always available and very helpful (even in different time zone).

Pros

Ease of use, managed deployment, ease of device management, compatibility with a wide range of applications, the support.

Cons

The only think I'm thinking about (and it's not what I like or not) it's the agent. Maybe it could be practical to have some more options on the device side. Sometimes when we download an app on the self service, it takes a very long time before we have it install... and it the same when we want to re-install.

### "Kandji Honest Review"

July 18, 2025

5.0

Kandji’s really good for handling Apple stuff. It’s strong, saves a ton of time with all the auto stuff, and the Okta hookup is super handy. The support team’s awesome, always there when you’re stuck. If your company’s all about Apple, I’d say go for Kandji—it’s solid and does the job better than most, even if it’s got a few quirks.

Pros

Kandji’s setup is honestly so easy to use. Clean look, and you can find everything (your devices, apps, settings—without any hassle). Even if you’re new to this IT stuff, it’s not hard to figure out. The main screen shows you everything you need, no digging around. The Passport thing with Okta is awesome. It makes signing in super simple, no stress. Also, the Okta Device Trust thing is great for us. Setting up apps with Auto Apps is a piece of cake—you just click a few things, and boom, they’re good to go. And the chat support - Always quick to reply, and they actually get what you’re dealing with. It’s like having a super-smart friend who’s got your back.

Cons

The Blueprints thing can be a real pain. Like, if I just wanna try out some new software, I gotta mess with the whole Blueprint, which is such a chore. Also, there’s no easy way to delete apps without doing some fancy script stuff. There’s no TTL (time-to-live) option, so if a device isn’t online when a script’s supposed to run, it just doesn’t happen. For example, I want a script to run every 24 hours, but if the device is offline at that exact moment, there’s no way to trigger it later when it comes back online. That can mess with our reporting and give us false data. There there is no Sync button to make a sync right away. You gotta wait, like, 15 minutes for it to check in, or use the Self Service app. Also, it’d be cool if they had phone support. Chat’s fine, but sometimes you just wanna talk to someone.

### "A Game-Changer for Managing Apple Fleets"

August 6, 2025

5.0

My overall experience with Kandji has been very positive. It's a powerful and modern Apple MDM that makes deploying, managing, and securing Apple devices straightforward and efficient. The platform is easy to navigate, even for teams without deep MDM experience, and the automation features save a significant amount of time. Support has also been responsive and helpful whenever we’ve had questions. While it’s best suited for Apple-only environments, for that use case, it’s one of the best solutions on the market.

Pros

Kandji’s biggest strength is its automated device management and compliance enforcement. The Blueprint system makes it incredibly easy to deploy apps, security settings, and restrictions across devices consistently. I also appreciate the clean, modern interface it’s intuitive and saves time when managing a large Apple fleet. Features like Auto Remediation and zero-touch deployment via Apple Business Manager really simplify day-to-day IT tasks.

Cons

While Kandji is very user-friendly, one downside is the limited support for non-Apple devices it's a great solution if you're fully in the Apple ecosystem, but less flexible in mixed environments. Additionally, some advanced configuration options (like granular scripting or custom profiles) can feel a bit restricted compared to more hands-on MDMs. Lastly, the pricing may be a barrier for smaller organizations with tight budgets.

### "Powerful and Easy to Use MDM tool!"

July 14, 2025

5.0

Kandji helps us manage our devices to ensure our compliance and contractual obligations by providing us with easy to use controls and meaningful support. It has helped us streamline the processes around our requirements given us time back to work on other projects.

Pros

In a word...simplicity. Kandji has streamlined our enrollment, usability, and ongoing administration of our devices. Support is quick to respond and very helpful. Prebuilt blueprints, like those for CIS controls, make quickly achieving a minimum level of security easy.

Cons

It would be nice to be able to organize devices into groups, but I understand that tagging can achieve similar results.
