I honestly could not do my job without this software. I use it everyday all day long. It is a life saver! Pros Being able to search for products using the search bar and then breaking down the product by brands, categories and specs is a great tool. It is much easier then looking through manufacture websites or catalogs. I love that any quote can be converted into an Excel spreadsheet. I don't know of any product that does this exercise as well as AQ Pros I love the fact how simple it is to do a professional multipiece quote for multiple customers. Cons The only concern I have is the large number of user names that are not deleted when they are no longer associated with the company. I would like to see it be easier to load additional owner's manuals to the program as not all of the will auto-populate. Overall I do not have any complaints. Pros I like the ease of building quotes for projects and building specification books for architects. Cons The cloud based software can be an issue if you need to work on something with poor or limited internet access. January 24, 2022 5.0 I'm able to quickly discern which vendors/products will suit my customers needs at a glance. The spec sheets/catalog pages and search filters drastically reduce the amount of time spent corresponding with factory reps. Pros When properly configured this software eliminates a lot of extra steps in the quotation/estimation process. The freight estimator is very helpful in correctly pricing the cost of freight. It helps keep my margin intact. Cons Sometimes I come across products that are sold by the case however the vendor will break the case and impose a fee. Unfortunately sometimes AQ doesn't distinguish this and will only allow you to quote the U/M as a case. The "match" feature doesn't work as well as i would like. Often I am trying to find a replacement for an item, for example a glass or a plate. There are many items on the market and on AQ that are very similar, in some cases nearly identical in size/shape/color/etc. But the match feature doesn't produce them, instead drilling down the search filters is the only way to stumble upon the product that closely matches the product I'm searching for. Pros I like that you can enter one spreadsheet and do many things with that spreadsheet like the proposal, spec book, receiving report, etc. And you have all of your equipment at your finger tips. Great for when doing a search for something like a convection oven or undercounter refrigerator. Cons I am not a big fan of the receiving report. It should have a little more detail and be a bit easier to read. I don't purchase or sell equipment; I specify it. 2) The spec book creation. Decades ago this was the most labor intensive endeavor. It's now a breeze. Cons Frankly, I don't know all the features even though I've used it for years and years. It had been when looking at a product in a manufacturer's line, if you view it and it's not what you're looking for, the previous menu page doesn't go back to that spot alphabetically.
