Pros

What can you not like about Action1? They provide patch’s to softwares they have added and allows you to add your own. They allow you to remote into endpoints. Action1 takes your suggestions very seriously. They really do care about you.

Cons

The most recent update moved the remote option but I understand once it was explained on the reason.

### "Why I love this software"

Thank you for making a product that answers so many IT needs without having to write/test code all day.

Pros

The best part is with very little setup I was able to determine if a client is missing critical updates. Especially for Windows, it is really simple and easy. A big plus is that your clients only need to be connected to the internet for the agent and console to communicate.

Cons

SOme of the fields are not quite sortable for ease of data mining

Overall, a great product. In cloud solution, with intuitive setup and comprehensive software update database. Finally, we have found the right tool to manage both system and 3rd party applications for a very reasonable price.

Pros

The implementation and initial setup is very easy to do. We appreciate the possibility to set up the automatic patch deployment according to our needs.

Cons

Sometimes we struggle to update per-user instances of installed applications.

### "Great resource for smaller companies"

Pros

I appreciate the pricing and functionality of this software. It may be basic in comparison to other applications, but it does a good job with hardware inventory and software patch tracking. I also like the remote control ability. Not as robust as some application, but is still very useful.

Cons

Remote control could use some enhancements. The option to turn off the request for users to accept the remote control connection. Often can't make the connection to the client. No error message.

Pros

The product is free of charge, easy to use, very helpful for IT management

Cons

The only thing is missing is the file transfer between the PC during remote control

Pros

The software updating feature is great and easy to use. It's easy to see what updates are needed and to approve and schedule them to run.

Cons

It's sometimes difficult to find the report you are looking for in the reporting section. Some of them have names that don't really explain what info is on the report. For example, to get a list of computer serial numbers you have to run the Motherboards report.

### "Great Solution for MSPs or Internal IT Team"

Overall, I think Action1 will serve us well as it allows us to organize our clients and their endpoints.

Pros

First of all, this solution is feature-rich! I previously used Comodo's ITarian solution and I always felt like it was held together with duct-tape and string. Action1 feels mature and solid. Numerous advanced features that you would expect from a high-cost solution

Cons

The only thing I liked the least was one of the things that I liked the most and attracted me to Action1. I was looking for a web-based remote-control solution and Action1 offers it. But, due to the nature of it being web-based, some of the keyboard shortcuts don't tunnel through to the endpoint. They are executed on your source machine. Not sure how to get around this, but this was the only negative.

We were using WSUS for patch management but Action1 seems to be faster and more comprehensive for this task. The Dashboard makes it simple to use all product features.

Cons

Remote Desktop is slower than direct RDP but the security benefits outweigh the option of not using it.

Good experience so far. I expect that it will improve even more.

Pros

Ease of use. Many options. granularity. Good variety of reports. Better than Teams for remote control.

Cons

currently, office 365 desktop apps are not being updated. after doing all missing updates on many devices, when selecting "update now" in the "Office Updates" part of various "Microsoft 365 Apps for Business", the updates have then run.It would be nice if action1 could update software installed in other profiles.

We deployed Action1 to be able to manage updates and software across our clients's multiples devices as a MSP, so it give us remote desktop capability to assist our end-users without the need of having any other third-party app.

Pros

Really easy to use, all cloud based so perfect for managing devices that are not all located in the same physical network, plenty of features and they keep adding some

Cons

No IOS app to manage and remote into the devices, need to use a web browser, but remote desktop is really limited unless you have a mouse and keyboard connected to your Ipad

Made my life much easier. Instead of trying to manage Windows Updates, Device Updates, Inventory Management, and Remote Access it 3 or 4 different apps, this put it all in one place.

Cons

Sometimes finding the correct updates in the Update Approval Screen can be a bit tidious

A chance to manage computer in one place without MS AD, and even on Windows 10/11 Home edition!

Love the patch management, it's easy to use. I haven't truly tested the scheduled updates yet but I will edit/add to my review once I fully explored all options available in Action1.

Pros

We are a small homecare provider and trialling the Action1 free version at the moment. So far its' been a pleasure to use Action1. Primarily we use it for patching and remote management. Can't fault it at all.There are areas that can be improved and other functionalities introduced but Action1 is a great RMM tool and on the right path to become one of the leading Patch Management solution.

Cons

Not going to add any here as some the other users have mentioned what improvements that can be made under other reviews.

Very good, I could setup the software very easy and fast. The guys working on the software are very interested on bringing it forward, something that I like. They are also very supportive with everything.

Pros

the program is very easy to use and works like a charm. You can almost do everything that an IT need with it.

Cons

One thing that would be perfect to add to the software, would be a feature that allow me to create an group of programs and to automatically deploy it on the endpoint computers, so it will make easy work to setup a new laptop or computer.

Needing to patch machines at different locations including remote laptops desktop that do not connect to main office networks directly. Overall the product has helped with patching and deploying new software to devices in a variety of remote locations. We have also used the remote desktop feature when our primary has an issue connecting.

Pros

The cost and ease of use made it a good fit for our non profit to get started with and RMM solution.

Cons

Still learning the product and its full feature set. Would like to see GPO management console added in the future.

We have a number of geographically dispersed sites with endpoints that are rarely seen in person by IT, so Action1 allows us to maintain, patch, manage and secure them remotely. We had no previous option for doing this so were very glad to find Action1. It's also been very good value in terms of allowing us to put up to 100 devices on the system for free - ideal for getting started!

Pros

It was really easy to get Action1 up and running. The built-in script library is very useful as it means we can utilise extra functionality like local password resets, remote wipe etc. without needing to write our own scripts. There's a clear and comprehensive development roadmap and the up to 100 devices for free model is amazing - incredibly useful for small businesses and/or trialling the system. I'm very impressed by Action1's commitment to making it free.

Cons

I actually haven't found anything as yet!

It's a fantastic free tool for small businesses to make administrator's life easier. It's just brilliant, it allows me to inventory, update and remotely support users from my armchair :)

Cons

A few functionalities are missing, such as sending files via remote desktop, or updating programs installed with exe, not MSI, but as far as I know they plan to add these functionalities

Pros

100 endpoints for free? This covers our entire business. The software works as intended. Very user friendly and functional.

It is a good and flexible tool to use. It is ease to understand and use as there are tips or notes.

Pros

I like the score dashboard for vulnerabilities. It makes it ease to tell how many of the servers are vulnerable and even tell what specific vulnerabilities needed to be fixed. You can actually also do agent deployment or software deployments for action 1

Cons

Sometimes it is difficult to get a right script to use for some deployments. Still struggling on how to uninstall a bulk of SysAid agents using Action1
