### "Action1 was the Unicorn we were looking for!"

Action1 has replaced two products on our networks, saving us a good amount of money. Patch management is where this product really excels. Inventory management is totally functional and based on what we've seen so far, they will continue to improve functionality and UI/UX rapidly.

Pros

Primarily we were looking to improve our patch management for Windows updates and 3rd party software. Action1 does both of these functions wonderfully.

Cons

Asset management and reporting need some improvements in UX. It does a wonderful job, but we'd love to see some additional features added. For example, we'd like to be able to add a custom field that is easily searchable for our asset ID tags. You can do this by adding notes, but it's not straightforward in the UI how to get to the proper reports.

We are a small firm. Lansweeper has changed their minimum asset license from 500 to 2000. They have priced us out. Manage Engine Patch Manager Plus was extraordinarily difficult to manage.

Its the ability to make sure that all our PCs are patched and up to date, and to manage the software on them. This is particularly when our staff are no longer in the office all the time and are working from home.

Pros

I have found that the deployment of apps is particularly effective. It's great to be able to roll out software to our PCs here within minutes no matter where people are based. I have found that the updates work really well as well.

Cons

I think some of the information can be hard to find, or you have to drill down. For example finding if a machine has low disk space. Also would like the ability to be alerted if a machine goes offline. The remote access seems a bit limited, for instance with no ability to transfer files.

My experience with Action1 has been great. I would highly recommend using this software as an RMM tool for technicians and IT managers to help control and keep your endpoints secure.

Pros

I have been using Action1 for over a year and I am very impressed. It contains lots of useful features such as remote desktop, update deployments, vulnerability patches, and software deployment. My favorite part of Action1 is the ability for it to automatically update endpoints which gives me more time to solve other IT issues.

Cons

There is nothing that I dislike about Action1

It is free for you to 100 endpoints which suits my needs. I also believe the UI is very user friendly.

Action1 has helped me keep our computers updated, easily deploy software to remote workers, and allowed quick remote support. Their customer service was friendly and prompt when I enquired about subscription cost.

Pros

The product is simple to setup and use and the agent requires few system resources. Patch management is well organized easy to navigate. The first 100 endpoints are free so evaluating in your environment can be at a scale that reflects a real use case. If you only need 100 or less then you get a great tool for free.

Cons

The Remote Desktop feature is missing the option for file transfers and chat but both are on the roadmap for future updates. The agent is currently only available for Windows.

Overall, for the cost and 100 free endpoints, this cant be beat, it gives you the most including items needed for RMM, the ability to run scripts either via powershell or command line is just awesome to have, remote control, main view of client updates that need to be done, Is an awesome product

Pros

Some of the best features are the ability to deploy either through group policy or manual, This limits how log to onboarding a client

Cons

Some features that are missing is being able to transfer files from tech computer to remote computer, another item is the layout, needs to have customize the current view or adding columns, instead of having to drill down further to find either IP address etcThe need for a Mac and Linux client could be a tremendous add on

From day one I have found Action1 to be a fantastic product. I believe we starting using this software in it's infancy, but you wouldn't have known it. The support team were amazing and even sent over some customised reports we requested that were not available from the portal at the time. It's a straight forward piece of software that delivers what it advertises and much more.

Pros

It's straight forward ease of use. The way it is constantly being improved with new features added on a regular basis. The support team have always been great when contacted and seem to genuinely want to help resolved your issue. It simply just does what it says it does, and well.

Cons

It's not perfect. But then what is. Occasionally I find that it might be missing an option to simplify what I'm trying to do. But never had an issue where I couldn't achieve what I was trying to.

Our overall experience has been good. We've created bundles to deploy, we manage patches, do remote access. It now our to go tool when someone has an issue we can't fix by sending them instructions. and it helps inmensly when we try to figure out what software version anyone has.

Pros

We like that is solves our problem of managing our hardware and software inventory, plus it allows us to do patching and software deployment from a central console. the added bonus is the remote access/desktop ability to support users when they have issues.

Cons

The reporting is a bit convoluted to get the list of software in a single user's computer, but we eventually figured it out.

The support team was very helpful and friendly and it was one of the easiest implementations I've ever done.

Pros

It's super easy to get up and running. Once I added our domain, the computers started showing up in the dashboard immediately. It has an excellent suite of tool that helps the IT department save time.

Cons

There isn't anything that I dislike about it.

We are a software developement company which employes are mostly on-site at the customer facility and developing the software. We needed a patch management tool which is able to collect all the data from the employe laptops (to see if the latest patches are installed, the current antivirus state and so on). We also integrated action1 as our patch management software for the TISAX certification because this service meets all the requirements of TISAX!

Pros

It is pretty easy to use, the service is free for the first 100 endpoints! and also the team behind it is really helpful!

Cons

The remote desktop service is always running, that means everyone which has access to that action1 account is able to connect to the clients. Maybe its possible to integrate a function to overall enable / disable remote connectivity on the client directly?

One of the best experiences I have had with a new product I have implemented. Sales and support staff are exceptional. I was able to arrange several live demos even before I made a purchase. For our size, I technically could have used the free version, but I decided to upgrade to the paid version to receive priority support.

Pros

Easy of use. Easy to roll out. Great value for money, even with the paid version.

Cons

Remote desktop functionality is basic. Would love to see more development and features in that area.

Pet peeve. They moved the remote desktop icon from the main bar to the side. I got used to it, but loved it on the main screen previously.

It has patched, managed, and gave me access to workstations fast and from anywhere I am at with internet. I enjoy the two factor authentication as well.

Pros

I enjoy that I am able to connect to every computer and understand what is happening within my network. I like that there are email motivations that I can set up to know what is critical and who has installed a software. Peace of mind is what I like the most, especially as a one person IT position.

Cons

I would say the UI, it is rather basic. I think basic has gone a long way but it seems like i spend a lot of time opening the menu tree on the left side too much. It would be nice if it was set up a bit nicer, not really a con though.

This software is easy to setup and very cost effective for my client who is a non profit! Cost is perfect and the tool is amazing!!! End to End ILM.

Cons

when looking to remote into a machine... you have to find the logged on user in a subsection of the tool. Being able to see this with the name of the computer would be PERFECT.
